This is a comfortable, very well-made shoe. The leather is sturdy, and the shoe is leather-lined. The shoes were comfortable from the beginning, but they became even more comfortable after wearing them a few days. The sole and heel look very durable, and I expect to get long life from the shoe without a trip to the repair shop to have the heels replaced. Because the thick sole is conspicuous, I would classify this as a business casual shoe rather than a dress shoe, but the design of the shoe is casual anyway, and I do not intend this to be a criticism. I cannot feel any particular contribution of the Nike Air feature in the heel. Perhaps it is making a significant difference, but I cannot tell the difference because I don't have another shoe for comparison. To me, it just feels like a normal shoe heel with modest resilience. But it could be that the heel material, which seems quite durable, would be too stiff without this cushioning, and the cushion allows the heel to be made from a more durable material without feeling too harsh when you walk in the shoe. I'm glad I bought this shoe, and if they are still making it many years from now when these shoes wear out, I will certainly consider buying another pair.

These are very comfortable shoes. Once you get past the new shoe feeling they are perfect. They are relaxing to walk in. I am not required to stand at work and these feel great to walk and stand in for long periods of time.

Great styling and comfort! Have loved these shoes since I got them out of the box. In response to all of the comments about the sole cracking, I called Cole Haan and the very courteous representative told me that it was an issue with a batch of shoes and should be resolved now but that if I have that issue then they would make it right. Hopefully that is no longer an issue. These shoes are exactly what I was looking for, casual yet slightly dressy, great for work or for jeans.

These shoes are great. They are perfect for casual dress at work, or with jeans. They were a little stiff at first, especially the polished leather, but quickly broke in. I travel for work quite a bit, and these shoes are perfect - easy on and off at the airport, casual, but also dressy enough to wear with a sport coat.
