This pan is pretty heavy, and good quality. It's very versatile for searing meat/fish, stir-frying, and making stews/soup. I think it's the perfect size to cook for two people.

Calphalon may have finally done it! A true non-stick pan you can actually sear in. I saw the ads, wanted to believe Michael Symon, but I was hesitant. Let me just say that I believe that if everyone owned one of these pans, more people would learn how to cook, properly. I own and seriously use professional cookware. This baby has been welcomed into my kitchen with open arms! Note: Three quarts isn't a large pan. Four chicken thigh size, perfect sear, finished in the oven- yum. Can't imagine why one would ever need to put this pan in the dishwasher. It wiped clean with a paper towel and a quick go over with a soapy sponge, done. Enjoy your new pan, I am.
