Very comfortable boots like them a lot at first. I put protective oils on boots for water. Also reapplied every couple of weeks. As job sites tend to get wet and muddy. Fast forward 4 months.. So after walking through job sites with rain&mud the grey cushions in the sole basically just crumbled out of the soles. To the point there was a gap! Couldn't walk the the boots anymore without twisting a ankle. Kinda sad I really liked the boots. If your job site has water STAY AWAY from these!!

I bought this almost 4 months ago and I work at a wastewater treatment plant so I'm constantly hosing things off and my feet are always exposed to water. So I bought these hoping that they would hold up, but water is always seeping in. Other than that they can be comfy and I would suggest not getting the wide because I'm usually a wide and these feel a bit wide for me

So far only 1 issue. The top lace buckles dig into your ankles and legs. Had to add extra padding to keep it from hurting during the day. Otherwise, pretty solid work boot. insole is comfortable compare to other boots but the lace buckle thing is driving me nuts...

I've bought two pairs of these boots and both broke down at the sole very quickly. Neither pair lasted longer than 5 months and the waterproofing only lasted 3 months before socks began getting wet. It's a shame because I can honestly say these are the most comfortable work boots I've worn.

Comfortable BUT not worth it, less than six months in and I notice that the soles and heel area are separating, and the eyelets are sharp and I go through shoestrings 1 or twice a week, I will not be buying another pair, for the price I will by Red Wings next time.

I bought this boot on the recommendation of several people. I work on the highways and walk a lot. These boots hurt my feet so bad after 2 days I had to return them. They would have been comfortable except the tongue was digging into the top of my feet. 16 hours in these boots and I am back to my old ones. I would not recommend these boots for anyone with flat feet they plan out just hurt. I have had several pairs of boots and gone through the break in period with no problems these boots I just could not handle it. Just not for me

I have purchased Timberland boots for 15 years now. Great boots overall for my feet, I have had the original chukkas, the first Timberland Pro's and now these Boondocks. I have to say comfort wise these Boondocks are amazing. Even with the inner sole wearing out from the ball of my foot, just popping new inserts in gave new life to the boot.
The biggest problem I have had is how wet my feet are getting shoveling snow in New Hampshire seacoast, not far from your Headquarters. When the storm is underway my feet feel great but then the snow covers the boot at first, then the heat from my boot breathing melts the snow, and soaks the leather. Then the storms switches over to rain and all the waterproofing that is promised goes out the window. My feet are soaked and I'm starting to feel miserable. I shoveled for 13 hours the other day and my feet were so prunie they hurt, not to mention it's cold so this changes the whole body, everything gets sore when your feet aren't protected. So I feel like the talk up of these being water impermeable is misleading and should be addressed plus now I need you to recommend me a boot that will keep my feet dry and comfortable!

I payed a lot for these boots specifically because they claim to be water proof.. well they're fine if you're stepping In an inch of water. They definitely are not for the winter. The first snow storm I used them while I was plowing. I barely stepped in the snow.. but when the snow melts it runs right into the top of the foot. Poor design guys. I am so disappointed and broke.. im going have to put plastic bags on my feet. Gonna have to save up again, and find some actual outdoor boots

I wore these boots every day, to work, on the weekends, in the woods hunting. Up until the waterproof membrane inside the boots was compromised and water seems to now pour through the seam between the composite toe and leather especially once water is over the top of your toe. These boots are now useless to me as it is miserable to attempt to work with wet boots. One a little water comes in these already weighty boots they feel like cinder blocks on your feet. The left and right boot had the same issue occur around the same time. I paid more than I would have ever paid for this pair of boots due to the fact that I've had a pair of timberland's waterproof shoes last over 10 years, I still have them. But now I am questioning the company's ability to produce a quality product... I definitely am not happy with this company or the purchase I made.

Timberland Boondocks are the first pair of safety toes to leave my mishapen forefeet blissfully unmolested, despite my having wide bunions, hammer toes, and a full size disparity between left and right foot.
Despite finding my dream toe box (the harsh mistress hockey has taught me patience) in the Boondocks, I cannot recommend Timberlands if the remainder of the shoe requires so much modification.
As mentioned by others, the poorly designed hooks providing each boots' top two lace points cause needless harm. Their excessive metal sinks painfully into ankle flesh because the washers bolstering the hooks' rivets extend beyond the interior shoe leather and transmit through the shoe's tongue. I solved this problem by cutting out these aluminum hooks and washers out and installing plain eyelets.
But another problem arises, literally. Too much material around the boot lace areas prematurely halt the laces from fully securing the boot around the foot. This condition only became apparent once the boot's insulation and padding compressed after a few days use. It's like the user's ankles were assumed to displace the same volume as a knee does! All this unexpected and unwanted space allows heels to lift out from the back of the boot with each step, ensuring blisters are soon to follow. And wearing the next smaller size would only cramp my toes.
Since I cannot afford to waste hundreds of dollars, I'll trim the leather and punch out new eyelets farther back than the original locations. Goodbye, waterproof protection!
Stepping away from design mistakes and toward quality control foibles, I found the right shoe's shank was twisted, even visibly so, more than the left in every pair available I tried at the store. A sole's shank with excessive curvature bends the toes upward, possibly placing hammer toes' knuckles in contact with the toe cap's roof. Luckily for me, thosetoe caps are tall enough and the shank's bend is slight enough to allow my toes enough space.
For nearly $200, I don't expect such boots to last forever--but rudimentary design practicality anduniformity in materials isn't too much to expect.

Boots are falling apart at heel and soles! They are NOT worth the money because they did not last! Husband works in high voltage job and I thought these boots would be perfect for the job but not if they are going to fall apart so quickly! sad part is I bought 2 pairs because he did like the feel and fit of them. $350.00 down the drain! vERY DISAPPOINTED IN TIMBERLAND!!!!

The shoe is super heavy, the laces aren't durable enough. The quality of the shoe is cheaply made. Very disappointing!

The product states its waterproof. According to the quality control team the boots are not ment to be in water. Only good for rain and stepping in puddles. Not to in deep puddles.

I ordered my first part of Timberlands. When they arrived, I tried them on in my living room and realized they were too heavy. I returned them to try a different style. I was told they were worn & I can't get a refund.

These boots are the heaviest boots I’ve ever owned. I kept thinking I was going to use them and always chose a different shoe or boot because they were so heavy. I didn’t want to use them. Unfortunately, I’ve had them for two years and worn them two or three times because they actually make my legs hurt after I use them for a day. These boots still look brand new and I paid almost $200 for them. Wish there was a way to get Timberland to exchange them. They don’t even actually look worn. Excellent looking boot and extremely comfortable on your foot. But the weight of them makes them undesirable to use.

Only wore the boots for two days the second day it was raining out and I felt water getting the tip of my feet wet, and when I mailed down bubbles Was coming out the tip of the One boot so I sent them back as a defect, and they tried to make me send them back as a 30 day comfort guarantee so I agreed but I needed work boots at that time because I threw out my old ones then they try to make me pay for shipping when I $22 or something just to get it fast shipping to me so I made a call to them again and told them the situation then they had me mail it to them for free under defect but now I have to wait for the money back because I guess that's what they're going to do instead of sending me out another pair of boots and the boots were on sale so I guess that's why they don't want to send me another one now the boots are back to full price and The whole process of this has been about a month they just received it two days ago and still haven't heard anything back so I guess I have to wait another month just to get my money back because I know they're not going to send me another pair. This is all a joke I bought a pair of boots Thought they were going to be good for Work so I threw out my old ones and I even paid for fast shipping but now it's saying on their website that they would not pay me for fast shipping
