Didn't realize the sole wasn't wood, it's a weird spongy material

Did not like , I would of sent them back. I should of walked in them first before I threw the boxes away. I didn't know they would be that spongy:

The heel is wobbly, very unsteady. I cannot wear these at all as I do not want to twist my ankle because the heel collapses to a side.

This shoe did not seem like a Dr. Scholl's Shoe, felt like an off-brand slide, your toes just slide straight through the shoe

These are nothing like the 1970's Dr Scholl's, don't let the "Classic" in the title fool you. While I was expecting a plastic sole based on the descriptions. I was also expecting the contoured shape at the toe that the original shoes had - it does not. The strap has a fake bucket. The strap is adjustable with velcro. Not as snug and secure as the originals.

This shoe was a HUGE disapointment. It is NOT the wood bottom scholl's I am used to in my early years. THis cheaper plastic bottom does not even come close to imitating the wood bottom. I am in the plastics industry and you CAN make hard plastic bottoms. Very disappointed.

I have adjusted many times and now have blisters on the top of my big toe. It is velcro not the adjustable straps

The leather? or man made material upper was too rough. Not like the old ones from the 60s

Dr. Scholl's Classic shoe has changed dramatically. I had to return this purchase because I could not adjust the buckle located on the top of the shoe. I actually had to resort to an online video showing the instructions. The buckle was permanently frozen. I am grateful to be a long-standing customer with Zappos - their return policy is amazing!

Shipping was very slow and then once I received the shoes I was really disappointed. I don't know how I missed that there wasn't a true buckle and was velcro instead. When adjusting the width it looked awful. I returned these sandals.

I don't know how you can be OK charging those prices for the style.

I usually only buy Dansko, Vionic, and Aveo sandals, but thought I'd give these a try. Huge regrets. After wearing these for one day, I had the worst blisters I've ever had.

I loved the Exercise Sandals of the 70's thru 90's - the ones that were crafted of good hardwoods and real leather in Italy. These are very, very amateur knockoffs. The rubber sole was eroded in a week, the pleather upper chafed and never did soften up, and THERE IS NO TOE GRIP to help keep the shoe in place as you walk. And on top of all that, the price is ridiculous.

When I first saw these were available in the non wood soles I was thrilled. These used to be called Sashays and were the best sandals I ever owned. I wore out the last two pair I bought. I would have been thrilled after delivery if they had the true buckle closing the sandal. Instead "someone" decided that velcro would be Ok (cheaper to manufacture probably) Soooo Disappointed :(

I was extremely disappointed with these shoes. I had a pair back in the early 80s and was hoping these would be a close replica. I should have read the description in a bit better. The “flexible sole” means rubber/plastic. Not wood and there is no contour under the toes. Also, the buckle is just for show. It’s actually Velcro! I sent them back immediately. What a cheap ugly product.

This is not the old style Dr Scholls that I wore religiously a few years back. The entire sole is rubber, and flexes. Which might sound like a good thing, but it twists in a weird way, making your foot slide around.
