I was so happy to finally find some wide toe box shoes that are comfortable. These had cushion to the sole most importantly, oftentimes with zero drop shoes there’s minimal to no cushion. The color-way is my jam, and they were super comfy. My biggest issue is price… I ended up needing surgery right after I got these and with no paid time off I had to return.

Seams on the inside back of the shoe protruded and gave me huge blisters. Shoe also ran small and narrow even though I purchased a wide. These shoes are unusable. I had to throw these away along with my $150. I’ll never buy this brand again.

Great fit, my usual size 9.5 fits perfectly. First time on I walked 5 miles and absolutely no problems. Love the support and appreciate both the fitted heel and arch support. I’d never heard of these but decided to take a chance because I love the color and they are a nice change from my On sneakers.

Fit is perfect. Usually wear narrow width, but these are good, because they're narrow in the heel with wider toe box. Very comfortable and I love the purple color. Normally wear size 7.5 and 7.5 was great fit in this show.

Many of the top brands of running and trail shoes I have worn over the years seem to be having an issue with fit and quality. I put in a decent amount of mileage weekly and I was starting to have pain. I had to make a change so I started to explore other brand. Topo wins!!! I found my Goldilocks shoe! I ordered three different Topo shoes to try on and it was honestly hard to send any of them back. They were all great. I kept these because they are trail runners and sport Vibram soles/lugs. Vibram is the only grippy/anti-slip material I trust. I live in the PNW and am no stranger to rain or damp, slick boulders. I speed walk 6-8+ miles daily and do a mix of road/trail/gravel/stairs/etc. I need shoes that I can trust to perform. These have been perfect so far. No slips. Responsive. Comfortable right out of the box. No rubbing or blisters. Finally a toe box that lets my bones actually rest where they need to! With no heel slippage! GREAT arch support. Lightweight. Soooo comfortable. I also love the color options so far… outdoorsy or simple. None of that neon Miami club stuff. The only thing I would add is a little reflective material and a shoe lace elastic band or cargo net. I usually just tuck my laces which is fine but that little extra attention to detail would be helpful. I did size up as I usually do. My feet measure at size 5 but I go up to a 6.5 and the fit was perfection. Definitely a must try!

I wanted to love these, but they just did not feel right on my feet. I kind of felt like there wasn't a normal amount of foot support?

I'm so much "on the fence" with this Ultraventure 4. It has a good stack of cushion, comes in Wide, has a rugged outsole for dirt & rock surfaces...but it feels weird in the middle of the feet. My husband & son thought the same thing -- it gets real snug at the arches & inside the heels. But the shoe is so soft that it allows pronation quite a bit, especially at the big toes. I might try a more supportive insert. Also, it just feels lacking in some cushion at the forefoot and curves upwards a lot at the toes.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, Keen, La Sportiva

I really liked my pair of Ultraventure 3 shoes, but the Ultraventure 4s broke down a lot faster than the 3s. The fabric on the top of the shoe where the toe bends started tearing after about 7 months, and I only wore them 2, maybe 3 times a week. I mostly used them for walking as well, so it's not like they were accumulating a ton of mileage. My Ultraventure 3s are nearing the end of their lifespan after about a year and I wore them much more than the 4s. The tread is pretty worn down, but the fabric is still in pretty good condition. They were pretty comfortable, but almost felt like a different model than the Ultraventure 3s. Not sure why they change so much between versions.

I loved this shoe at first (this was my first Topi ever), the first time I accidentally got them wet, then they were too big, they really stretched out. The mesh like uppers started wearing a hole in a spot where they were bending just a little. I unfortunately had to return them.

I loved much about this shoe, but the arch just didn’t work for me. I wish Topo would sell a shoe without the arch. I embraced the barefoot running shoe style back in 2008 after reading Born to Run and have never looked back - the ability for the arch to flatten with impact and bounce back, taking the main body impact as designed to do, has saved my hips, knees, and feet. Ditto for hiking. Now when I hike with a shoe with a built-in arch hitting my foot arch with every step, I hate it - I feel bruised, despite having a fairly high arch. Besides the arch, this shoe was perfect: wide toe box, snug heel cup, decent colors, and a gently curved sole that slightly propels you forward. I wish they had worked better for me, but if you like a supportive arch in your shoe, these would work great for you.

I have a couple of other styles of Topos, and the fit seemed similar to my Atmos. Nice wide toe box (to accommodate bunions), narrower heel and cushy sole with good arch support. The issue is the Vibram sole, which seems really sticky and squeaked all the time on the hardwood floors. The stickiness may have gone away with some wear and dirt, but I didn't want to take a chance.

These Shoes! If you have a wide foot, you may have noticed many brands shrinking the width of their shoes. Not so with these. They have a wide toe box and a narrower heel, suited to a woman's foot. Zappos recommended I go up half a size from my usual 9, and the 9 1/2 is a great length for me. They are, in fact, almost too wide, something that delights my toes. The arch support is built into the shoe, and provides a noticeable boost to my arches. The slightly curved orthotic that comes with the shoes is removable so you can play around with other orthotics if you feel you need more. I love the color (a dusty denim blue) and more importantly I love the fit. If you've been let down by the other brands and their shrinking shoes, try these.

I am new to Topo Athletics and since I discovered them a few weeks ago, I know own 3 different pairs. These Utraventure will be used more a low / lightweight hiker and I am so happy with the way they have perfumed in woods on rocky beaches and roads. The regular width is surprisingly wide. I have very wide feet and felt the wides were too roomy in the front and kept the regulars.

These are terrific. I have challenging bunion feet and need a wide toe box. These are wide and supportive. I prefer them to my altras.

I was so hoping these shoes would work since I need a wider toe box. But the rock guard on these ended up being too "thin" which caused my toes to catch. So I'm returning them.

Very comfortable! I've worn Brooks and Hokas for years but eventually they'd all have my feet hurting after awhile. These are extremely comfortable, enough support to do what's needed.

Kind of has a funny shape and it felt awkward trying to walk in them. Does have plenty of room for toes to splay.
