Nice leather, construction style, and heel, though somewhat difficult to pull on, even though I have a narrow foot. Rather prominent arch support didn't accommodate my foot arch very well, was a bit hard, and uncomfortable. Ended up getting a different ankle boot in 9N.

I normally wear an 8M but ordered wide to wear with heavy winter socks. Compared to the other brands I ordered in wide, these seem more like my regular shoes: with just my normal thinner socks they fit well, maybe even a bit too snug on one foot. Excellent quality leather and worksmanship, no heel slippage and I like the padding at the top front and back. Still deciding if these will be keepers.

I ordered my normal size in other brands, 10.5 N, but these felt loose in the heel and kept slipping in the boot when I walked. Unfortunately, I sent them back. These were nice boots otherwise. I really want a pair of boots, but haven't found one yet that works for me.

Plain, basic, black boot which is what I was looking for. Slightly long length-wise but felt the half-size down would probably be a bit short. I ordered the extra-wide width but did not feel extra wide. Pinkie toes were rubbing by end of day. Slipping in the heel. I kept these and wear with thick socks which help some.

Returned this size as overall too big. Reordered 8 Extra Wide and it fits.

A very pretty boot. The leather is supple and smooth and the style is appropriate for casual or office attire. The boots were very uncomfortable until I removed the thick, stiff, inner liner and then they fit well. I will add a stick-on arch support to compensate for removing the liner. Glad I tried them without the liners or I would have returned them.

Really nice shoe. Too bad the heel is not just a little higher. Had to return.

I found this ankle boot to be comfortable right out of the box. In fact, I wore it for 14 hrs the first day w/no rubbing or problems with the fit. I've read the reviews that reported it's a narrow fit. I found that interesting because I do not have a narrow foot at all, and it fit just fine. I wore a Smart Wool no-show sock that worked well. It is not the cutest boot out there, but it's acceptable. I actually like that it doesn't have a bunch of extra hardware, straps, etc. I wanted a true chocolate brown color, and it fits that perfectly.

The shoe was a beautiful shoe and the front fit perfectly, but the back of the shoe is too wide. I normally wear a S/SS, and with these being Trotter's which run a little narrower, unfortunately these will not work. I walked around the house all day with these on and they just kept feeling wider and wider. If I'm going to pay this price for a shoe, I want it to be a better fit.

It is very nice material. I ordered a marrow, but wish they would have had it in slim. The shoe fit nicely around the front of the foot, but was a bit wide as it came up from the ankle. I think the top of the shoe would fit better if it was tapered more around the ankle. I am really a S/SS and have very narrow ankles, so maybe the extra gap was due to this.

These booties are a true narrow. I wear a 7.5-8 Narrow in trotters. The 7.5 felt a little tight, the toe box was too narrow to feel comfortable. Tried the 8N, toe box was much better but the heel lining rubbed on my right foot. So back they went. Nice leather though. The red is dark, almost like a wine/burgundy color.

I really love this boots and they are comfortable except they are to snug to wear with socks. That’s not a good thing for wintertime.

I bought the black smooth leather boot. They are very comfortable. Inside is nicely cushioned, and the rubberized sole is great for walking. My foot is a size 10.5 and runs on the narrow side of normal although I'm not a true narrow. I originally purchased a 10.5 Medium. I had to exchange for an 11 Medium which fits me nicely. I say the boot runs about 1/2 size small and a bit narrow, but very comfortable once you get the correct fit.

These boots have everything I wanted: beautiful color; nice leather; seamless, quality construction; stylish look, with a low heel. But, my feet were not happy and when my feet hurt, I am not happy. Even with the wider width, the tapered toe cramped my squarish forefoot, my heel slipped, and the support was only moderate. Sadly, I am returning them so someone with less fussy feet can enjoy them.

Overall this is a cute and versatile bootie. I found it to fit just right (though I'm a bit on the narrow side), but I'm returning them because they're too big around the ankle and I don't like that gaping look with skinny jeans.

I returned the shoes because of the color. These were a burgundy color. I wanted a true red.

I wear 10 w's and have issues with a flattening arch, pronating, plantar fasciitis, a pulled perineal tendon in one foot, and a healing bone spur in the other. One zipper, outside of the shoe, is merely decorative. The other zipper is very smooth. The leather is so smooth and pretty! Good heel, was even more comfortable when I substituted Powermax inserts. However, I found the Aetrex Kailey to beat this one out in comfort and looks. But SO close! This was a good boot, just not a great one for me. Thank you for the better selection of wide shoes and boots, Zappos!!

Loved this boot. Sturdy sole and support and very soft supple leather boot. Feels like I can probably wear this all day comfortably. I like that I can wear this with jeans or slacks.

Nice shoe and well made. Felt like it was too narrow for my foot and I usually wear a medium width.

The fit and style are great and that means a lot coming from me. I wear a narrow and I really get tired of B wide shoes marked "narrow". They look better but aren't as comphy as Clarks Cloudsteppers. The style is not special except they are simple and can dress up or down. I need these for travel so they have a big job ahead.

Be aware that outside zippers are fake. Don't try to unzip them as I did.I thought the shoe was defective until I realized only the inside zipper is real!

I ordered the Trotter Major boot in my usual 9AA. This boots runs narrow but is true to size in length. The boot has a zipper on each side, but only one of the zippers on the inside of the boot is functional. The other zipper is for looks only. This might explain why the boot is narrow when putting it on. Because I have narrow feet, I liked the secure fit. I love the look of this boot. It is sleek with soft leather. My only issue was the arch support. The arch is a firm material that was uncomfortable for me. This could be because my arch does not fit the contour of the insole. Regrettable I must send them back. They are great looking boots, for someone who wants a firmer insole.

Although I think the overall fit was ‘true to size,’ these boots were uncomfortable. The primary reason I am returning is the style is awkward. I was drawn to the quilting on the boot, but the boot doesn’t look good with skirts or dresses. The shaft is short, no tapering, and the resulting look is uninspired.
