I actually use these shoes for work. After a ten hour shift on my feet most of the day, no more back pain! I love the way these makes my feet feel when I walk and even just standing. I would 100% recommend just for the comfort and stability.

Love them! Took them out of the box and did 4 miles. These are my first max shoe and they felt a little squishy like they were going to be too soft and unstable when I walked in them. So I was a little worried until I started running.
As soon as I started running all the hype surrounds this shoe was instantly obvious. That squishy feel went away and they felt really responsive. I didnt feel like I had to pull my foot out of quick sand like some highly cushioned shoes. They actually felt like you got a little rebound from them.
The whole run felt great and I cant wait to see how they feel on my long runs. Overall I would absolutely recommend this shoe.

I've been a loyal Glycerin wearer since the G10 series. I run an average of 4-6 miles per day and 1,000 - 1,300 miles per year, depending upon what races in which I'm planning to participate. I usually burn through two to three pairs of Glycerins per year.
Despite the above, I'm not in perfect shape. I'm 5'7" and weigh about 197lbs. I hit the pavement hard, but the Glycerin series has historically offered me excellent support and comfort.
I was excited to try the Max, as it seemed to offer a dramatic improvement in cushion. While this was the case to some extent, the downside issues ultimately led me to return the shoes after about 42 miles of wear. Here are my observations:
1. The Max have a much more shallow rise than the typical Glycerin series. This ultimately hurt me. I wound up spraining my right calf muscle and had much pain in both calves after every run. I could not figure out why until I saw the difference in rise. I think reg Glycerin Classic rise is 10 and the Max is 6. My running gate is just not compatible with this shallow rise. It caused too much stress on my calves thereby creating pain and sprain.
2. The upper is way less cushioned than the classic Glycerin. In fact the tongue actually cut into my ankle and caused some chaffing and discomfort. Personally, I think the upper wears like a far cheaper shoe than the Glycerin brand to which I've been accustomed for so many years.
3. The toe box is really wide. I think the Max runs large compared to the classic Glycerin. Perhaps it may run a half size larger. I usually wear a 12, but I was swimming in these and could have been better suited with an 11.5.
The above said, I really did love the extra spring in my step that the Max provided. If the above issues can be addressed in future iterations of the Max, I'd love to try again. For now, I'm going back to the Classic Glycerin series and just placed my advanced order for the G22's

Im a fan of the Glycerin 21 shoes, but whenever I run in them, I wish for just a little more midsole cushion. So, you can imagine my excitement when I heard about the new Glycerin Max. Sadly, I will be returning these shoes after a few runs. The biggest issue for me is that the arch support extends a little too far forward. Its been a long time since a new shoe has given me blisters, and this is the first time that I got a blister, and pain, on my arch - right below the pad of my foot and at the outer edge of the bottom of my foot. That being said, I think the Max has a lot of potential and Id consider trying the next version if two more adjustments are made. The first is the shape of the rocker. Im primarily a heel striker, and I struggled with the heel to toe transition with this shoe. I dont think its the midsole drop as Ive run in other 6mm drop shoes with no problem. The Max seems to respond to forefoot striking - you can feel the shoe propelling you forward. The second adjustment would be to the breathability of the upper. These shoes feel warm while currently running in high-70s temperatures. With warmer months ahead, I wouldnt be looking forward to running in these shoes. Still, Im happy that Brooks introduced a max version of the Glycerin line and will look forward to the release of the GM2.

Great shoes for base, long, and recovery runs. I enjoy wearing them and they are supremely comfortable and super stable. That cushion! The only issue is they are a little on the heavy side so its difficult to pick up the pace in these. Otherwise, awesome shoe!

I really really wanted to love these as I had the ghost max and thought this was a much better shoe as it did cost more. Thinking more money means better shoe. Sadly for me this was not the case. I walked on the treadmill right when I got them and the bottom of my feet hurt so bad even though they are super cushioned. I will stick with my Ghost Max, unfortunately they dont sell them anymore and I dont want to go to Ghost max 2 because of the reviews. I love super cushioned shoes but not sure why bottom of my feet hurt so bad.

Even though I don't run anymore, I purchased my 2nd pair of Glycerine shoes. I pretty much wear them everywhere. They are unbelievably comfortable while walking and light hiking. All of my shoes are from Brooks, all 4 pairs of them.
Way to go Brooks

I love the shoe. It's very comfortable. The only downside, I would say, is that it feels a little bit tight on the width. it would have been nice to have it in the wide-width size. Other than that its really comfortable shoe.

The good: 1. Breathable upper 2. Great lockdown 3. Excellent midsole that's exactly as advertised 4. Brook's first true max cushion shoe 5. Excells as my daily trainer. 6. One the best shoes I've ever owned for mid-foot landing. 7. Toe-off transition is seamless. Con: There is only one con: It's surprisingly awkward to walk in. I wanted to make this my new go-to for daily runs and walking (it looks good enough to be a sneaker), but it almost gives the impression I'm walking in comfortable clogs. My wife also felt the same about her pair, which limits its versatility to a jog or faster (that's when the shoe comes to life).

I love this shoe. It is very comfortable and soft on the foot. The only issue I would like to say about the shoe is that, it feels a little bit tight on the width. I would like to see Brooks bring a wide-width option for this.

Took them out for a short run. I ran 5k and starter to feel a blister develop. Maybe thought they needed more braking in. Took them out for a 10k run and no doubt developed heavy blisters. I refused to believe it was the shoe and decided to take them out one last time and walked home as all the blisters I developed using these shoes reappeared during the run but this time with a vengeance. Not sure why my feet are different but I cant use this shoe.
I gave the shoe a 3 star because I love how they look! The shoe is beautiful. The silhouette is beautiful. The design is amazing. I just cant run in them. I hope that everyone else can enjoy them because I want to be seen in these shoes, but I cant handle the blisters that I develop so easily in this shoe.
Best of luck to you all.

Half marathoner here. I am definitely a Brooks guy, having previously owned multiple pair of the Hyperion and adrenaline. The glycerin max is by far the best shoe I have owned. Love the support and responsiveness. Use for daily training and racing without issue.

Comfort & Joint Support: At 60, my focus has shifted to prioritizing reduced fatigue and joint impact over other features like energy return and lightweight design. The Glycerin Max seems to excel in providing comfort and minimizing strain, making it ideal for long training runs and even on race day for me! First Half Marathon as a 60 year old this past weekend in Houston and i didn't feel I sacrificed speed for comfort! New race shoe

Best running shoes ever. My only complaint would be to add a thicker tread (like you would find on a trail shoe).
I am not a runner anymore, due to shin splints, but I Love walking.

I never found any brooks shoe nearly as cushioned as other max stack shoes, until now. IMO, these are as good as any max stack trainer on the market. They are also probably the most wearable max stack sneaker for daily use. Well done.

My very first Brooks shoe. The hype was real in my experience, I was looking for a long distance show that would be comfy and somewhat stable. This shows is a very good match for my feet, and the styling of it is excellent.
I would purchase again and plan to purchase this shoe in newer iterations.

The new DNA Tuned form is amazing! The Glycerin Max feels perfect for long runs, and I find it easy to pick up the pace with its bouncy midsole. The upper is extremely comfortable, and the roomy toe box fits my slightly wide feet perfectly. The outsole is quite durable as ever with excellent grip tested during winter runs.
