Very comfortable, foot hugging shoe that allows me to traverse rough terrain in sure footed comfort.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for!! Really comfortable and have great tread!! Easy to slip on and go!! These are perfect for my wide feet!!

Exactly what I was looking for! First time wearing, went for a 2 mile walk (paved path and woods). Total comfort right out of the box! And the bonus was having a leather shoe!! Love the slip on. I do need a shoe horn to get it, but I don't find that to be a negative. I would rather have that with a secure fitting shoe than one that slides around like this other flimsy famous slide ons (Sk**chers). The lugs on this shoe are seriously aggressive which I also appreciate as it provides sure footedness while out in the woods with my dogs. It is my first LL Bean shoe. I see a lot more in my future!

Wonderful for snowy winter weather. Nice grip and protection from the cold. Fabric on top helps keep snow out.

I read the reviews about the tightness. I opted to buy a wide shoe because I wear orthotics in my shoes. When I wear thick socks, the toe box is still tight (I've had them about a month, worn them 20x maybe). The heel is loose in the wide. I love the treads. I love the stability of the shoe. I love the quality of materials. Overall, I'm happy.

I wanted something to wear in the winter for quick trips to the store. These are perfect, because they have a good tread which makes me feel secure, they are water proof, which is critical in winter, and they are easy to get on and off. Also, they have enough insulation that my feet don't get cold. Great winter shoe

I was looking for a good pair of shoes after this post winter storm we had: one with good grip and warmth. I have always heard of LL Bean shoes being a good buy; and recall seeing my father in law having a similar pair of these for decades. These boots did not disappoint. I tried them on at the store, and they fit my flat feet very well. Got a women size 10 wide. I have arthritis on one of my feet, and the cushion and warmth really supports that foot well. I walk around a lot in my day for work and other things, and the boots do not tire out my foot or legs, especially at this moment with slush and cold. Hope they last for a good while!

This is my 4 pair of storm chasers. I use them twice a day everyday to walk my dog. I'm glad they went back to the rugged sole. My last pair was a men's because the women's smooth sole wore out way too quick. These are warm, weatherproof in low snow and easy to put on with a long handled shoe horn. They keep my feet warm and dry. I love the easy on and off. Glad they make them in wide width.

Comes in wide width which I need. Very comfortable for winter walks.

I went to the LL Bean store to exchange a pair of moccasins and these caught my eye. These are great, they fit well and have great traction . They are very sturdy as well. I haven't had to do a break in period with them, definitely a bonus for me. I am part of a walking group who averages 4 -5 miles per walk , I was able to wear them pretty much straight out of the box for our walk . I didn't come home with sore feet or a sore heel.. the only possible negative is the first few times I wore them I needed a shoe horn to get them on. Now they are fine with out the shoe horn, as promised by the clerk. I highly recommend these.( And special sout out to Nina of the Hadley store for sharing her experiences with them!)

These are even better than the older version. The ankle height is perfect. They seem easier to slip on. The inside lining is comfortable even without socks. I like the quality of the craftsmanship and I think they're worth the price.

I've worn the low slip on Bean boots for years, so when I found these storm chasers I thought they were a better choice for me. They fit my foot perfectly. They are warmer and the traction on the sole is perfect.

I had an earlier version of this boot from 20 years ago and finally needed a new pair. I spontaneously wore them on a 3-mile walk on snowy, frozen surfaces the day after I got them and they were comfortable the whole time. Great traction too. I wore thick socks and feet were not cold. I live in an area that rarely gets more than a couple inches of snow so these are perfect. My only slight criticism is that they're tough to get on; I probably need to track down a shoe horn.

I was looking for boots with better traction for winter. They are not the warmest boot I own, but they are waterproof and the treads on the soles are awesome! I can feel the difference when walking on snow and ice. They are roomy enough to wear thick socks in them for added warmth. I would definitely purchase again.

Perfect for doing chores around the farm. Sturdy and waterproof.

AT first the "Storm Chaser" was a little hard to get on, but after a few weeks, I threw the shoe horn away. Now I can get them on and off j"just like that." They are a first rate winter boot, with a good solid cleated sole that keeps me from slipping on snow and ice.

I've been buying stormchasers for years. I was not a fan of the previous model stormchasers 5 (of the way the sole looked), I like these better. The sole looks like it will have better traction and is much easier to clean too. But I did have to size up to 8.5 in these (I always bought them in size 8) due to tighter toe space, as others have mentioned. They are much tighter to enter so less sliding up and down, which is a plus as well.

I love these ! I will say finally LL Bean got it right with sizing. In the past my "normal" 6.5 size was always too large. I almost sized down with these but something made me change my mind. 6.5 is perfect ! I will say the reviews about being a little narrow in toe box may be accurate, but in my case it works. Most LL Bean shoes that I had in past were too roomy there. I am so pleased with these.

Love them! Purchased them for walking the dog but they are so versatile, I wear them all the time. Comfortable and warm with or without socks.
