It is my first lifter so with a grain of salt I think it is performing exceptionally well. It has allowed a greater overhead position and a greater sense of stability while lifting.

These have been awesome, fit my feet and provide a considerable amount of additional stability beyond my previous lifters

My existing perfect shoe size is a Merrell moab 10.5W or 2E for width. These shoes can fit but I had to go up a full size to 11.5. The toe box is as described, very generous and no toe crowding at all for me. I had to return the nike weightlifting shoe because of how stupidly narrow they are for context. These required a bit of a break in period, I do legs 2x per week and by the 3rd session they stopped giving me pain in my arch and heel. They've held up OK but I would expect nothing less since they're less than a month old. Fingers are crossed they continue to hold up. Point off for lack of color options and the insole is glued in and not easily replaced.

What a difference the L-1 lifters made for me compared to my old lifters. Love the roomy toe box, but still feel super secure with the lower strap. Fit true to size. Got a couple PRs in the first couple weeks of using them.

I got the size 7.5 and it was too tight. Size 8 is a little too big. But good thing is my toes can move.

Runs small. I usually wear 8-8.5. Bought 8.5 and my toes touch very end. I recommend going up half size.

Ive been wearing a Reebok lifter since 2009 and loving them - same pair. Bought a new Reebok lifter but the toe box was too narrow. Just returned and bought the TYR and absolutely love them!!

I should have listened to the other reviews when they said these ran small, and they do. A solid half size too small. I returned them for the larger size, and I found the process of exchanging them cumbersome and slow.

Finally took the plunge and got the lifters! I wish I had done it sooner. Very comfortable lifter, tons of room for the toes and the heal hugs your foot. Doesnt even feel like youre wearing lifters!

I only use these for power cleans, front squats, and low bar back squats. These have been great so far as I can feel a difference in my lifts from being able to splay my toes and press them into the shoes/ground. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of sizing. I read reviews saying to go up a half or full size and thank goodness I did. I usually wear 12.5 or 13 so I got the 14 in these and they have been good. People who do more Olympic lifts may want to stay closer to true size to prevent heel sliding, but going a size up was good for me personally. Overall pretty good shoes!

I am an avid CrossFitter and this lifter is really great. I had to order a FULL size larger than my usual size which is odd, but otherwise, a great shoe so far.

I'm very happy woth the shoes. Great balance of stability/flexibility. My feet are what you'd perhaps call regular (not over wide even though I wear 2E shoes for trail running) and the sizing matches my running shoes perfectly.

Ive been lifting since I was 12 years old. Ive always had great form & could execute heavy lifts with minimal form deformation. My cleans were decent but became even better when I started training under an actual Team USA lifter. She told me that my form was good, I just needed the right shoes. The reason I never bought lifter shoes was because flat bottom shoes were good enough in my mind. Well I was wrong. As soon as I started lifting with these, my cleans became almost perfect. Ive hit 2 PRs in the short time that Ive owned these. They fit great with the wide toe box that I have. Honestly, my biggest regret is having not bought these years ago. Stop debating about whether these are worth the price, because Ill say that theyre more than worth it.

These are my first squat shoes and they feel great. Before this, I squat with only socks, but now with these shoes I can engage my quads more by having a narrower stance and feeling more stable. The wide toe box also helps.

The wider toe box is a game changer. I wore adiPowers a while ago and gave up on oly shoes for a long time, opting for minimalist shoes. IG brought me to Tyr while I was looking for ways to eke out some more squat gains. The L-1s look great, feel great, and provide tons of grip and stability. Perfect for oly lifts or just optimizing leg training!

I'm a 13 6E. Good luck finding an extra-wide weightlifting shoe. The TYR L-1 comes the closest, and the wide toebox prevents my toes from losing circulation.

Only giving it a 4 star because by the website measurement I size up and the shoes ended up being a bit bigger so my normal size would be ideal. But I still love it , the fact that I have wide feet and these doesnt feel uncomfortable while still giving me the support I need.
