I use my topos for hiking predominantly. I live in the southwest where the trails are a bit rugged and challenging. The fit is consistent. This is my second pair of the pursuit 2's. I love the lace/ Tongue system . I don't have to play with the laces to get them comfortable. Just tighten them and go. Possibly a bit more durability from the soles. Otherwise love the shoes!

I wear these almost daily for hiking the trails with my pup and playing golf occassionally. The fit and feel is the best that i've found in the wide toe box category which is great for my Fred Flintstone feet!

These fit great. I use my own custom insert with no issues. I love them. Please make them in better colors. FYI The waterproof version does not fit well at all. Something is wrong with that version.

I wear these for walking and hiking and am preparing for an 85-mile trek in the UK this summer. I tried 7 pairs of different shoes in different sizes before I landed on these. That's a lot of boxes to take back to the mailman. But I care about my feet. The wide toebox is perfect, the zero drop is awesome, and there is something about the insoles - these are so comfortable. I tried them with my go-to inserts I wear in every shoe and went back to the Topo ones that came with them. Awesome.

So I bought these for a 5k a last ditch effort to replace my older Solomon's that I loved dearly. While it's a night and day difference and takes some time to get used to I have zero complaints. I just put 20 miles on them in Chicago and by the time the day was done I had to look down because my feet didn't hurt. These are great for big guy I'm 6'5 and 275 lbs with a 14 and don't feel like my feet are cramped and are not sloppy in the shoe. I recommend anyone just to get fitted before you buy these to get theme right because I wear anything between a 12-15 depending on the brand.

In looking for a thru hiking shoe other than the other zero drop brand Altr@ Olym. That is wide enough. I bought 3 ToPo models to try out. The Pursuit was the only 0 drop of the three. Someone in the reviews said " it's too wide" so that gave me hope, otherwise I would've assumed it would not be wide enough for me. Out of the 3 models I kept the Pursuit and Ultraventure 4 in wide. I did size up a 1/2 size from my usual size for both, so that also made a positive difference for me. I have a pronation tendency which has worsened with the above mentioned other brand. This shoe is a great balance between cusion and trail feel under foot. Good mid foot support and toe splay room. The Pursuit will be my day hiking shoe and training whereas the Ultraventure 4 is my thru hiking, backpacking shoe. Topo has really created a superior shoe hopefully they will not change the fit and feel of these. They are light, supportive, cushioned perfectly with a wide enough toe box for my EE. Fore foot. Bravo!!

I used to wear pretty minimalist shoes, but as I've gotten older I have found that I need (and enjoy) a bit more padding. That said, I've been running in zero drop shoes with big toe boxes for years now and really wanted to find a more supportive trail shoe that met those criteria. I also love having the security of the Vibram Mega Grip outsole. It can be pretty dry in Texas, but when it does rain (or when I cross a stream) the footing can get slick fast. These shoes handle everything I've thrown at them perfectly. Plus, they're so comfortable that in a pinch I can wear them out without socks (and I have). They fit like a dream and my wide feet haven't torn a hole through the sides (or even started to wear at them), a common problem for me with other shoe brands. Literally my only complaint is that I'd like more color choices.

The wide tow box and zero drop, combined with a more resilient shoe, make the Topo Pursuit the first shoe in years I've found to be an adequate replacement for my old Altras. I've found that the show comfort, resiliency, and tread are all great for both trail running and short- & long-distance backpacking. The only aspect I'm not a fan of is the proprietary gaiter system. While it looks like a possible upgrade to velcro (I haven't tried, as I have a strong preference in the gaiters I use), if a manuafacturer is going to use a proprietary system like this it would be wonderful to also include velcro attachments to service all their clients without custom shoe modifications.

I spent a long time looking for the right trail hiker and couldn't be more pleased. I have wide feet and these fit perfect! I wasn't sure about the zero drop but after a few miles I really like it. The soles have fantastic grip. The shoe is incredibly lightweight but the materials are durable. The design is minimalistic which I prefer much more to the over engineered shoes I had before. LOVE these shoes and the style (I bought the green). I wear them for everything.

I have been looking for a trail running shoe that I crave on my feet. A shoe that feels right for both training and racing. I finally found it!. The shoe has the blend of a wide toe box, zero drop, while also hugging my foot loosly on easy runs, or getting a nice tight fit for racing and downhills. After about 100 miles on my first pair and decided to buy a second pair, just in case they changed it. Don't!

The zero drop is great for my knees and the sole is stiff enough to protect the forefoot. Great traction for New England's rocky trails. I'm almost 60 and this seems to be the only shoe I can comfortably hike in. Never any blisters or rubbing either. I do replace the insoles.

I am returning to add more information on a review that I wrote about 6 months ago. For the most part, I stick to that review. The sole of the shoe wore out faster than I expected, but the shoe was very comfortable and stable for walking/hiking under all weather except snow (did not try in snow) , and on a variety of terrains for over 1500 miles. The insole still gives the same comfort it did at 0 miles. This shoe breathed extremely well, so my feet did not feel like it was getting steamed even at 103-110 degrees (F). Just a couple of weeks ago I did a day hike of 40 plus miles wearing this shoe, which already had over 1500 miles on it, and I at the end of it, I felt like I could continue on easily for another 20-30 miles. One of the things that I found wonderful about this shoe is that it translated most of the force that I applied for moving forward into forward motion, maximizing the output per unit of force applied while minimizing the strain on the muscles. This aspect contributed to making all of my walks and hikes extremely enjoyable. However, I do understand that the experience can vary depending on the shoe, style of walking/hiking, how we use it as well as other factors. This shoe has been an exception to the idea of 'no pains no gains'. For more convincing reviews, I would suggest to visit the YouTube pages of 'Darwin on the Trail' and 'Homemade Wanderlust', especially if you are a hiker.

This is my first pare of Topos, bought after enduring a really rocky 9-mile hike in my usual New Balance minimalist trail shoes. Wow, these already feel MUCH better. Great toe box. The 12.5 seems perfect for my usual size 12 wide feet.

Really like these. I wore them in a race for about 60;miles and didn't run into any issues with them. No blisters or anything. 0 drop, perfect amount of cushion, and they dry pretty quickly. Definitely recommend them! Perhaps my favorite Topo yet and I've tried at least a half dozen different Topo shoes.

I really don't have to plan a route with Pursuit 2s on- comfortable on dirt, grass, rocks, water, mud, obstacles and fine for long sections of road too. Tread bites into snow. Just go and see where it takes you. No stuffing a second pair of shoes in a backpack for that other surface if you have to change plans. Comfortable, nice ride. Am 70 years old and I've started setting PBs in places I've been running for years. The upper is forgiving- accommodates arthritic swelling in both feet when tied snug.

I use my Persuit for hiking and running in Bieszczady mountains in Poland. Thanks to their foot shape, zero drop, grippy outsole and light weight they are truly great shoes. They are very breathable and not waterproof, so less suitable for winter time. I had MNT Racer 3 before but they wore off already. I find the Persuit model even better.

1. Extra wide space in the front gives me more room to adjust the step point. 2. The rubber is so grabbing, it makes me feel so confident both speed up or slow down. 3. The breathable vamp and waterproof insole let your feet dry easily.

This is the best trail shoe I've ever used! I feel like O can run forever in them and they never give me any toe or foot issues, and feel cushioned just enough, yet smooth and fluid, even after hours on the trails! They are so comfortable and just perfect stride after stride that I wish Topo would make this exact shoe, but with a road tread for pavement miles! I love this shoe and it is by far my favorite shoe to run in!

I've had this shoe for over 150 mi now and I just really love it. Every time I select them from my shoe rack I honestly get excited because they just fit so well and feel so great on the trail. It's a good middle of the road trail shoe, more cushion than maybe my race day shoes but also not overly cushioned.

I have been searching years for a truly comfortable and quality zero-rise shoe. I believe I have found one in the TOPO Pursuit 2. The wide toe-box allows for a much more natural placement of one's toes when walking and running, while the snug mid-foot and heel offer a nicely secure fit. Cushioning is midlevel and is comfortable without sacrificing a 'feel' of the ground surface. The shoe uppers also are well designed, particularly the gusseted and dual looped tongue. This model may be one of highest quality shoes I have worn in years. I have tried a variety of heel-toe rises, as well as different cushioning, in shoes over the last several years, and I have never been completely satisfied with their effects on my running and walking. Nor have I always been impressed with the quality of materials and workmanship. The TOPO Pursuit 2 stands at the top of my ranking for shoes at this time, and I will explore other TOPO models for road running, walking, etc. #sweepstakes

I bought these shoes after watching a youtube review posted by @DarwinOnTheTrail, whose review appears to be spot on. Although I found the toe box to be slightly wider than I needed, my feet adapted to it quickly without any discomfort. What I particularly like about this shoe is its highly flexible sole, which gives the perfect amount of trail feedback while adapting intelligently according to the terrain.

Use these as everyday and hiking shoes. Only had a couple months but they have cured my knee and hip pain on hikes.
