Definitely a narrower toe box than the Pursuit 1 and my small toe on each foot is getting crushed. When I called and talked to a Topo representative, they insisted that the size of the toe box was the same as the 1, but admitted that material changes to the fabric on the upper might account for a narrower feel. Would have been nice to have known this before my purchase.

I have Pursuit V1 (from 4/2023 - quite destroyed by walking) and MTN Racer 3 (from 4/2024 - only for running) both size 13. I have already buy a new Pursuit 2, but it's narrower than older Pursuit or than MTN Racer 3. It's a little uncomfortable as it presses on the little finger. Please, as soon as possible make new version of Pursuit 3 with wide toebox as was in the first Pursuit.

I was excited to receive the new Pursuit 2 and get them out on the trail. Unfortunately, I was unable to even wear them due to the narrowed toe box compared to the Pursuit 1.
The Pursuit 1 may have been my favorite shoe of all time, so I had high hopes for the new version. They looked like they would meet my high expectations out of the box. Little had changed other than esthetics, and the quality appeared comparable. These hopes were dashed as soon as I tried on the Pursuit 2 though. The toe box is at least a quarter inch narrower and pinches my forefoot and small toe. I am very disappointed. Altra did the same thing narrowing their toe boxes once they became popular. I am so disappointed that Topo is headed in that same direction.

Only have about 170 miles on these shoes , which I really like. But on my last trail run both insides blew out. Hoping it's not a quality issue, because I really like the brand!

After one trip up a class 1 trail, they shredded. Asked Topo for a replacement and they still wanted me to pay 50%. Not investing my well earned money on this brand ever again.

Durable? Yes, but only cause it's made of the hardest most unyielding material on earth. Will break your feet! Topos slogan should be "will break your soul, but never break your sole." Every step in these shoes feels like slapping your foot on a hard stone while simultaneously toe kicking an armadillo barefoot. Absolute worst hiking shoe I've ever tried. They should recall these shoes like a broken down car.

I hiked for a total of FIVE days before they had a noticeably large rip.
Customer support said, "This type of tear most often occurs when the opposite foot strikes the collar of the shoe during the gait cycle." In the same email they suggested I tape my five day used shoes.
Obviously shoes rip after extended use but what type of shoe rips after five days of use and approximately 50 miles total?
Avoid these shoes like the plague. Topo does not stand by their product.

Pursuit 1 are my favorite trail shoe. I've had 4 pair. The durability was excellent, and the wide toe box was excellent. I was worried Topo would ruin a great shoe with the update, and they did. I guess this approach by every company does sell a lot of shoes as we desperately try to find something decent again. So wasteful, and destroys brand loyalty. Shortsighted.

From Campo to Kennedy Meadows (south) the Pursuit (1) was a reliable companion for 700 miles : no blisters or black toenails. In KM I exchanged the Pursuit (1) for the Pursuit (2) because the soles started to break (after 700 miles fair enough!). The new Pursuit (2) gave me blisters on my toes and black toenails due to a more narrow toe box. After only 200 miles I had to get rid of these shoes. And the fabric looked like the shoes were worn for 1000 miles. Please bring back Pursuit (1)!
