I really don't have to plan a route with Pursuit 2s on- comfortable on dirt, grass, rocks, water, mud, obstacles and fine for long sections of road too. Tread bites into snow. Just go and see where it takes you. No stuffing a second pair of shoes in a backpack for that other surface if you have to change plans. Comfortable, nice ride. Am 70 years old and I've started setting PBs in places I've been running for years. The upper is forgiving- accommodates arthritic swelling in both feet when tied snug.

I use my Persuit for hiking and running in Bieszczady mountains in Poland. Thanks to their foot shape, zero drop, grippy outsole and light weight they are truly great shoes. They are very breathable and not waterproof, so less suitable for winter time. I had MNT Racer 3 before but they wore off already. I find the Persuit model even better.

1. Extra wide space in the front gives me more room to adjust the step point. 2. The rubber is so grabbing, it makes me feel so confident both speed up or slow down. 3. The breathable vamp and waterproof insole let your feet dry easily.

This is the best trail shoe I've ever used! I feel like O can run forever in them and they never give me any toe or foot issues, and feel cushioned just enough, yet smooth and fluid, even after hours on the trails! They are so comfortable and just perfect stride after stride that I wish Topo would make this exact shoe, but with a road tread for pavement miles! I love this shoe and it is by far my favorite shoe to run in!

I've had this shoe for over 150 mi now and I just really love it. Every time I select them from my shoe rack I honestly get excited because they just fit so well and feel so great on the trail. It's a good middle of the road trail shoe, more cushion than maybe my race day shoes but also not overly cushioned.

I have been searching years for a truly comfortable and quality zero-rise shoe. I believe I have found one in the TOPO Pursuit 2. The wide toe-box allows for a much more natural placement of one's toes when walking and running, while the snug mid-foot and heel offer a nicely secure fit. Cushioning is midlevel and is comfortable without sacrificing a 'feel' of the ground surface. The shoe uppers also are well designed, particularly the gusseted and dual looped tongue. This model may be one of highest quality shoes I have worn in years. I have tried a variety of heel-toe rises, as well as different cushioning, in shoes over the last several years, and I have never been completely satisfied with their effects on my running and walking. Nor have I always been impressed with the quality of materials and workmanship. The TOPO Pursuit 2 stands at the top of my ranking for shoes at this time, and I will explore other TOPO models for road running, walking, etc. #sweepstakes

I bought these shoes after watching a youtube review posted by @DarwinOnTheTrail, whose review appears to be spot on. Although I found the toe box to be slightly wider than I needed, my feet adapted to it quickly without any discomfort. What I particularly like about this shoe is its highly flexible sole, which gives the perfect amount of trail feedback while adapting intelligently according to the terrain.

Use these as everyday and hiking shoes. Only had a couple months but they have cured my knee and hip pain on hikes.

Moved from hiking boots to trail runners and tried the Altra TIMP 4s which I loved from a comfort and wide toe box. Unfortunately the durability of the TIMP 4 was poor and had to be replaced after four prep trips for a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch that would be 10 days of hard backpacking. The TIMP 5 came out, but they narrowed the toe box which left me looking for another solution. the TOPO Pursuit 2s met and exceeded my expectations on trail and even in some rock climbing we did. They still look new after 10 days in the NM mountains! I am sold on this brand and will be using them going forward! I typically wear a size 10 and that is what I bought and they fit perfectly. I did also buy the gaiters which initially I was not happy about the proprietary connector on the heel, but they performed very well so can't complain.

By now I've ran ~70 miles and walked ~50 miles in these - my first Topo's, holding up well! I typically use Merrell's Trail Gloves or Vapor gloves, but for an upcoming hiking trip in Scotland needed 1) zero-drop 2) Vibram soles appropriate for a rugged and wet conditions 3) Size 7.5 Men. Merrell does not make this so I tried several Altra's (new models with Vibram) but they were not a good fit. Then I found the Persuit 2.0. They are very comfortable - except for me a 7.5 will be ideal.

Purchased the Pursuit 2 as a post knee replacement, zero drop, walker. They fit the bill perfectly. The wider toe box & snug mid/heel section work great for my foot offering comfort, stability and confidence. Zip foam cushioning lowers knee stress with the right combo of soft/firm. Just right for me! Thank you Topo!

walking/running/hiking with my dog in these. We generally put in at least 10 miles a day, so I've roughly put around 140 miles on them so far on grass, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, dirt, water, etc. There's very little if any wear on the lugs, no wear on the upper, and they are close to as plush as the day I got them. My only recommendation would be to maybe make the toe box a smidge wider in future iterations. Bottom line, I recommend and I'll never buy Altra again.

I am a mountain trail ultrarunner frequenting the trails of Acadia. I Traverse over mostly open granite summits and very technical New England rocky and roots trails. Topos are the only shoe I've found that grips to the wet granite. The wide toe box allows my toes to spread out avoiding blisters and toenail injuries. The insole is a bit slick, so my foot was slipping around a bit, but it can easily be swapped out. The midfoot lock is not a good as prior models. Still the best shoe out there for the trails I love to run and I feel confident in them.

I wear work boots everyday and run 4 days a week in adidas. I wouldn't describe my issue as pain but more of a mild discomfort at times in the heel and arches. I have been looking for a comfortable walking/recovery shoe. The Topo brand was recommended by a close friend. These were on sale and I figured, why not? They have been great so far. I wore them for the first time during a weekend long celebration where I was on my feet most of the day. In addition, I tend to supinate a tad. This shoe does support my foot into a more neutral position. That may be an unintentional or intentional in the design.

I use pursuit2 for hiking and backpacking. Straight out of the box to a ten mile hike and they were great. No hot spots, comfortable toes, stability and great grip (slippery rocks of PNW trails). These are my 4th pair of Topos and love every pair. I use them for work shoes, 14 hour shifts and my feet feel good. Walking through shallow creeks, dewy grass, my toes stay dry. The shoes dry quickly if saturated. Honestly, I prefer the first generation pursuit for the unmatched cushioned sole. Two years and countless hikes they are still incredibly comfortable and durable. I have tender feet and toes. These are truly the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. #sweepstakes

I run mostly on technical mountain terrain and race ultras. Been a fan of the mtn racer line for the past 5 years and finally branching out to something different. These are more forgiving than the racers in the midfoot which is nice for training, but the fit is still super secure so I wouldn't hesitate to wear them on fast efforts on the trails. Only downside so far is the lacing system is pretty weak compared to the racers and I busted through one of the eyelets my first time putting them on

I bought these for trail running, but my footsteps don't feel secure when running in rocky terrain because there is too much movement in the toe box. They are fine for flat terrain or when not running.

I have 400 miles on my pursuit 2's and expect i'll get at least a few hundred more. Got 600+ on my Pursuit 1's. Overall very happy with them! Thanks for keeping a zero drop shoe in the lineup. The heel collar gave me blisters at first (didn't have this issue with my Pursuit 1's). Biggest complaint is the colors/design - could take a lesson from Altra in this aspect. Otherwise, they hold up much better than my Altras.

I love the Topo Pursuit. Also love the MTN Racer and Ultraventure. The brand in general has the best fit compared to other brands. I use the Pursuit and MtN Racer to run more technical and steep trails. They feel like a part of my feet, which is exactly what I want. Unfortunately the Pusuit 2 upper is starting to tear already (150 miles in) and they don't drain water as fast. It seems like the upper changed from the V1. For the version 3, it would be great to get that original upper back. V1 was perfect.

Best zero drop trail shoe yet. Wonderful Vibram sole and fit. Durable. Don't care for the color scheme but functionally they're wonderful. I also have a pair of the traverse in green along w a black midsole and I think that color scheme is great. The Pursuit in orange is too bright. The Pursuit in green, which I have is not kind of an uglier green and looks off contrasted with the grey midsole. I hope to buy again but will wait for a better color.

I hike in these 3 miles everday on rough terrain. You have excellent control on off-kilter terrain. love the way way the sole is not too stiff. You feel the trail but not too much. My only complaint is that the toe box was slightly wider (better IMO) on the previous iteration.

I just bought these shoes and the first thing I did was I put on 35#'s and walked all over the store, then I took out the insoles so I can really feel the shoe and ground. Without the insoles was fantastic stepping on blunt things on the floor, was surprised that I really didn't feel that there was something underfoot. So I bought them. I mine crystals and minerals blasting in crazy places with extremely steep or vertical places just to get to my mine. There's skree slopes and it's sketchy just being on them or you can just slide off into the air hundreds of feet down. They grip on to every slippery rocks and very stable without twisting your ankles or worse. I've never had anything to compare with the stability keeping my feet from being unstable. Honestly I actually prefer not to have the inserts in my shoes because they make it feel like I have a squishy no confidence where I place my feet. I tried Hoka's and Altras and they were my last picks. There was one other shoe from topo I had a really hard time deciding on, but I will be getting a pair of mountain racer 3's or terra adventure 3's hopefully in waterproof style because of where I mine at in Washington State with plenty of rain and wet conditions. I'm on SSD so if anyone else is on SSD go see a podiatrist and Medicare plus Medicaid can pay for your shoes if you qualify from what your Dr recommends you to have. I'm going to do the PCT trail next spring and I'm getting all of my stuff bought and planning so I'm ready to go. I recommend you break in your shoes before anything you go do before a long hike, backpacking trip etc to break them in. I hope I helped anyone reading this message, I try to be a easy read and just get out and have fun outdoors it's our best TV show you can ever have

I started the p c t with these shoes, and I really wish they lasted longer than they did. Starting off, The heel was already too tight and slanted into the foot and caused a lot of blisters. Within the first two hundred miles, the inner fabric of the heel completely shredded and caused even more blisters. The shoe was my size, and the toe box was roomy. if I had gone up even half a size, it probably would have been too big Other than that issue, these are good shoes. the outside fabric staiyed together pretty well
