Very comfortable right out of the box. I am a rearfoot striker, and these shoes forced me to strike with the midfoot when running (which I believe made me run faster). Lots of cushioning without feeling wonky or unstable. I came from Hokas and Altras and prefer these over either of the others for running.
I'd also recommend:
Hokas

Excellent running shoes. very well made, stylish, great cushioning. Regrettably I had to return them because they were too narrow for me. I tried the regular width and my pinky toe went nu b after 20 minutes running. But I always buy wide width, so I was just giving it a try to see if perhaps these would work for me. Too bad these don't come in wide widths because it is an excellent shoe.

Very good shoe in terms of support, cushioning, and looks, it a really pretty and well made shoe. However, I had to return it because it only comes in regular width and it turn out too narrow for me. After 20 minutes running my pinky toe goes numb. Too bad. Hopefully Brooks will offer wider options.

Super comfortable, responsive rocker base with tons of cushion. Feels like jogging on pillows, but with moderate stability. IMO, this shoe is the best of everything. Super lightweight as well! Fit is true to size, and the inner stretch liner around the tongue makes for a nice “hug” feeling around the top of your foot. If you like ASICS Novablast or Hokas and you have normal width feet, you’ll love these!

I absolutely love this shoe! My only complaint is it doesn't come in black in women's! I hope they make one!!! It is my go-to. I love the back where your heel goes in because it does not get bunched up and foot slides in easily. They're super comfortable and great response when running or walking. I have the Brooks Glycerin 20 and they are old and worn and the back where the heel goes in is all bunched up on all of my Glycerin 20's. I'd like to get another Hyperion Max 2 but.....the color thing.... hope they come out with a black one like the men's!

I love these shoes for speed work! They are light and responsive. Very comfortable, my only complaint is the laces can untie fairly easily. Overall very happy with these shoes!

Im on my second pair of Hyperion running shoes, and I love them! They're responsive and can easily take 400 miles. I run 20-30 miles a week and am taking them out for their first half marathon soon. Theyve been great for all types of training runs.

Upgraded my Hyperion Max to the 2.0 version for marathon training. Love the updated cushion and they feel a little roomier in the toe box. Minimal adjustment from the old to new version. Looking forward to getting the Elite for race day!

I love the way these hug my feet. Inner band really solves the problem of the tongue moving too much that I had with the first edition. Fit slightly on the big side.

Love this shoe! So stable and able to keep a solid pace when wearing them. Comfy for long or shorter fast paced runs! 10/10 recommend these shoes!

This is my spare pair. Like the fit, style and functionality of the shoe. No ''Break in" period. Just with the color options were broader.

Marathon runner here. I have been running in Brooks Hyperion Max and hit 400 miles on the last pair so switched to the Hyperion Max 2. The tongue is a big upgrade! Secure on both sides so it doesn’t slip around or the previous iteration rubbed the top of my big toe with the poorly designed tongue stitching. The Max 2 feels more stable and runs a bit wider than the previous model. I have now put 140 miles on my first pair and I am happy with the cushioning and fit. I purchased two more pairs to make sure I have them for the upcoming marathons around the world.

Love this shoe. I have the regular Hyperion shoe and wanted to add more support when running. It took a couple of weeks to get used to the max feel but love it now!

Love these shoes! They are a great all-around trainer. I have used these on 20 mile long runs, easy days, and interval days and they feel great at all paces. I have bought several pairs for multiple members of my family. I find them to be very similar to Saucony Endorphin Speeds and the Adidas Evo SL.

Such an improvement from the the Hyperion and I loved those! Please make more colors!! These are my go to for shorter/average runs and I stick to my Hyperion Elite for long runs.

The fit was perfect right out of the box. I have a bone spur on the side of my right foot and have been ordering wide shoes which are really loose around the heel. The Brooks Hyperion Max 2 is a great fit. Just wide enough for the the fore front of my foot and good amount of cushioning. I have ordered another pair. Wish there were more color options.

I bought these at the end of October 24' and have put 252 miles on them. Getting ready to order my next pair! These shoes have incredible stability even through the cold weather months running in ice, snow, & water. They are not waterproof but paired with waterproof socks, they are the perfect cold weather run shoe as well as warm weather run shoe for me. Can run sprints in them no problem. Absolutely no knee or back pain. I also use them as a trainer in the gym as well. Normal shoe size is 6.5 I wear a 7 in these. Highly recommend this shoe!!
