1st pair was fine. 2nd pair the tongue was too hard or long or something and i had to cut it during a race to be able to finish. Digs into the ankle and causes a lot of pain and bruising

This version is disappointing. The sole is harder, the width is more narrow, the heel cup is shorter and firmer, laces (which can be exchanged) are shorter and untie even with a double knot. Overall I'm sad about the changes and they have ruined this shoe for me. My feet hurt in it, and no matter the half size it just doesn't fit right like the previous version. Please make the next gen better, this missed the mark.

Fit is true to size, but the escalante's felt much better, this is my 3rd pair. They are just made for my feet, the experience flow shoes have a weird heel support on both sides. Felt like it would hurt me down the line.

These shoes give me Posterior Tibial Tendonitis on my left foot. They are super comfy to wear, but I struggle with pain the days after I wear them. These just aren't right for my foot. Have never had this issue with any other pair of shoes.

I have been wearing the provision 7s but I bought these because of the Black Friday sale. They are tight, the heel doesn't have very much cushion, and overall just not comfortable. I wish there was a wide or maybe I should have purchased a half size bigger but I will not buy again. I try wearing them in the house to stretch them out but I don't think it will make a difference. I wish I would have payed the extra money and just bought what I'm used to wearing. When you like a wide toe box, you need a wide toe box. I wish descriptions would say true things like more form fitted or less wiggle room. Then you would know what you are really getting

As far as altras go for me: I have always loved torins (except the last few years) + lone peaks; paradigms are okay; only ever hated provision besides these. I just have zero love. That being said, a coworker and my husband find these comfy. Sizing/Fit: I would order half a size up than you do for other Altras. I've always worn a 9.5 in altras but got a 10 in these and they feel fine. I have a higher arch/neutral-slightly overpronate and these felt miserable to me. My husband liked them. He's more flat footed/under pronates. Rocker: something about the heel strike kills my (very bad) back and I feel like I walk like a baby deer. My husband walks like he's autistic in these; I'm not trying to be insensitive, it's just the only way I can describe what it looks like. However, as I said above, he liked these shoes but there's no way I'm going in public with him wearing these. Cushion: seems pretty good. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for shoes at the moment. Current torins aren't available in my size. I've had 5 pairs of torin 5 luxe (because they're the best shoes I've ever worn and the last few years, torins have been AWFUL because of the tongues) and I'm down to my last pair of the 5 luxe. Pretty bummed these didn't work for me.

First -- I generally love Altra and have been running in them since 2018. But, the Experience Flow fell far short of what I'm come to expect from Altra. I wore them for the first time yesterday (32 days after receiving them, so can't return) and they were a disaster. I was left with multiple blisters on both feet, including the tops of my toes -- a place I didn't realize blisters were even possible. And when I awoke this morning, my feet hurt upon getting out of bed...sore, tight, stiff. This hasn't happened to me before, so believe the shoes were the cause. The one and only thing I liked was the extra long shoe laces. Please use these in all models of your road shoes. Anyway, now my worn-once Experience Flows sit in my donate pile. There are too many superior models Altra makes to even contemplate buying these shoes.

It is not made for running. The bottom of the shoe wears off after a couple weeks. Altra should stops making shoes for runner because they only destroy people's feet. This shoe is not made for runners.

I am so disappointed because I cannot wear my brand new sneakers. I wore them on a walk and my feet were killing me! It was my fault I bought the wrong size :( I cannot afford another new pair right now.

I wanted so badly to like these shoes. They are super cute, and initially, they feel pretty comfortable. However, in minutes, I noticed how tightly my toes are squeezed together and pressure on the top of my foot. They feel stiff. Ultra has been my favorite brand of shoe for the last 10 years, but something has changed over the years. My last pair of shoes purchased last year squeak and are suddenly causing injuries and blisters. I know I'm due for new shoes, but I've purchased two pair from Altra, and both have to be returned because they're narrow and downright uncomfortable. What happened??? I'm going with a different brand now to see if it suits me better.

I had read reviews of these shoes that indicated that they had a wide toe box. I need a wide toe box - not for my big toe but for the other toes. These shoes did not have sufficient room for my smaller toes - they were jammed against the outside of the shoe. Wearing them would have proven to be very painful so they are being returned.

My shoes came clearly worn when unpackaged out of the box. There was dirt around the heel area and the laces were dirty. I will not be purchasing another pair of altras. I am very dissapointed in the quality and warehouse distribution!

The shoe felt true to size, but the back part that wraps around the ankles is so slippery that it feels like your feet are going to slip out at any moment, no matter how you tie your laces. Because your feet are made to want to leave the shoe, the soles of your feet will float mid-stride and compromise your landing. I ended up rolling, falling on, and spraining my right ankle on dry, flat road while running in these, so I will be out of commission for at least a week. I do not recommend this product.

Felt small and tight in toe box. With hammertoes, I was seeking more room, not less. Also, the heel cup felt shallow with my orthotics in place. Overall, a fail for me.
