Have been waiting for Cronin pants to make a reappearance and I certainly havent been disappointed. I have had several pairs of the canvas Cronins and these while being lighter are certainly quite robust and well fitting. Thank you Arcteryx for a great trouser

Went in to the store to look at the non cotton version of the pants was disappointed when they told me they were pretty much out of my size. The store employee pointed in the direction of the cotton version and when I tried them on I loved the way they fit at the waist, thigh, and lower leg. The material make them very comfortable for everyday wear, also excellent for hiking. Design of the pockets and zipper pocket are nice.

This cotton version is way better than there pure crinkle nylon version. Bought the Cronin pants but I didnt like the crinkle look. I was looking for something more light but heavy/ retain its look when walking and still be able to wear everyday in hot weather. I do gotta say this is it. Feels like a lighter cotton canvas which is great for the hot weather and everyday use. Im a size 30 waist (measured). I sized down for a fitted baggy look. When tried on Pants were about a 31 waist for a size: 28R. Bought a 30 previously but fit way too baggy and big. Bought the black and tatsu/green. The black is like a lighter black and not true black. Would definitely want a dark navy and light khaki and charcoal/grey. If youre on the fence about these pants dont be. There excellent.

These pants are super comfy and airy. Perfectly cut for comfort and articulation. I've got 3 pairs, 2 cotton and 1 synthetic. They have been used all over the western rockies to hike, scramble and climb mountains for which they are great - there is a but coming though both of the cotton pairs (black and Tatsu) have severely faded after only a few washes and months of use (not acceptable). They almost have an orange like tinge to them as if they've been bleached (they haven't). It has kinda ruined the whole look of the pant for me and it's insanely disappointing to have such poor quality. An older comment about the pants holding onto stains is also very accurate - don't cook oil or fat with them on!!

These fit massive. Ive been a 32" waist in every pant. These, the 32" fits like Gen Z baggy jeans.

After waiting months and months for these to restock, I was excited to replace my 5 year old Cronin pants that have completely worn through after near-daily use. I knew that the redesign would mean that some changes were to be expected, but I am exceedingly disappointed with these. They are not even close to the original pants and should be given a different name to clarify this. The material is thin and feels quite abrasive compared to the soft thick cotton of my older pair. I read that the redesign included improving the sizing so that small sizes were a bit smaller and large sizes a bit larger. Compared to my worn out pair, the size 28 are at least 3/4 of an inch wider. I can't wear them without a belt, which was never needed with my old pair. I don't want to wear a belt when I wear these for climbing and commute cycling. These are far less versatile, looking like hiking/exercise pants, especially since the black is not very dark. The oversized pockets make them gap in odd places, so I can't pass them off as casual trousers for work. They simply won't replace my old Cronin pants as they lack the fit, style, and versatility. I'm sure they are fine for climbing only, but at this price point, I can't afford a pair just for climbing.
Finally, despite setting up notifications for multiple sizes and colourways, I did not receive any emails when my sizes came in stock. Yes, I checked my spam folder.
For the cost of these pants, I am disappointed with the quality. I will be returning them.

Pros:
Material, mechanical properties: fantastically comfortable, the stretch provides a comfort you won't find in jeans.
Fit, design: excellent, wide.
Cons:
Availability: 3 months waiting for the size to be in stock. Available only at the end of the season. Hey guys, are you sure you are doing business in Germany?
Material, durability: I don't know how this fabric will handle climbing rocks, but even in regular casual use snags started to appear, which cannot be fixed.
Material, color fastness: faded on the knees within the first month and after just 2 gentle washes. Turned into black-orange. Photo attached. A big disappointment for this price.

The Cronin pants are very solidly constructed and have a nice, clean, easy fit appearance. There are some drawbacks. I suspect that most buyers of these pants have never inched up a rock face and wear them for their look and comfort (include me in that camp). The material seems to be highly abrasive resistant with a tight weave that while ideal for rock climbing makes them resistant to cleaning; i.e., they hold stains that are difficult to remove even for something as innocuous as a drop of cooking oil. I have had to spot spray them and wash more than once to remove stains so you've been forewarned. Also, the zip pockets on the sides are too small for a passport so they don't make for ideal traveling pants either. Back to the drawing board! (And better colors, please.)

I ordered these hoping they would live up to the hype. The material is nice. However, the "tall" sizing seems to be wildly off. I added a picture of how the 34T compares to a 34x34 pair of jeans. The tall size looks to have a 32" inseam. Not the 35" inseam that is advertised.

I'm not sure if these were a manufacturer defect but I ordered a 30 short and they measure out to 33" waist and 31" inseam. My 30 short other pants from arc fit great.

The cut and durability of the fabric and design look good.
However the black fabric is not black. More of a dark grey that stains easily and does not wash out well.
My other Arc black (cotton) pants are noticeably blacker than these, and do not show stains. And my grey Arc pants(cotton) that get stained easily wash out.

I love the fit of these trousers however I purchased them in the "Tatsu" colour. They looked a shade of light mole (grey/brown) in the photos, I was quite annoyed to find that they are a shade of olive green

Pants are comfy but the material on the Black color is quite poor and the color fades within a couple uses. Not even close to black anymore, quite disappointing given the price

Just received these in the mail today. Put them on and was instantly uncomfortable with the inseam of the pants around the knee. It rubs the skin with every step and that sucks. I like the way they feel at the waist and how they feel elsewhere. But I can't wear these pants. It's like a tag rubbing you wrong but worse because of the bulkiness of the seams and you can't just cut it out. I get why they thought it was a good idea and it is for a thinner material but not the cronins. Was hoping to wear them on an upcoming trip to Mexico City.

Among all of the good reviews I seem to have found a big issue with these pants.
They fit really well on my but there is one HUGE issue with the inner seams that run down the knee and inner thigh.
Everytime I move it rubs up against my leg and its so rough and uncomfortable. Something that the designers should consider as it's such a huge issue to me I'm surprised nobody is mentioning it.
