Lasts for years - I got my first pair of Docs about six years ago and finally wore them out after wearing them everyday.

The Best Shoes I Have Ever Owned, PERIOD! I have owned a pair for one year. Not only are they extremely comfortable, they incite compliments from everyone, including my "hip, in the know" young adult children. I saw a similar pair on the feet of Johnny Depp once. His looked like they never left his feet given how worn the uppers were. I figured, if they're good enough for Mr. Depp, they're good enough for me!

Best boot or shoes in the world - I got my first pair of Dr. Martens when I was 15!. I still wear them! They have a few holes, but they still do well in the pits. I just got my new pair and I'm 30. Take care of them and they take care of you!

The best ever - I love these shoes. I bought my first pair of "docs" in 1995 and they lasted me until 2000, they always were very comfortable and they got a heck of alot of wear and tear! Well worth the money, they will outlast any shoe!

Always and Forever - This is by far the best boot I have ever worn. I had a pair for five years before I finally wore a hole in them and needed to buy my new pair from Zappos. I still have the old ones for when I go to concerts and in mosh pits, they hold up great. I also use them for when I know I'll be doing something where they might get further damamge. They never leak, never poke or bother my feet and I dread the thought of five more years down the road when I need to buy a new pair again and they don't make them anymore. Any other boot I have worn has had nothing on these, the only thing more comfortable are my moccasins. I hope I die before I have to live knowing that another great thing that this world had is gone.

I gave these as a gift. My boyfriend did say that felt really narrow but he thinks they will loosen up. I bought a pair he didn't like originally from Zappos so I had to send them back and order a different pair. FREE shipping and returns made it possible to get the right shoe without additional cost.

MY OPINION ON DOCS - I've had my Docs since last year. They're really great! I like them very much cause I can wear them with everything. The only problem is that there is not air coming inside the boots from the outside. When I go to school, I wear shoes for about 10 hour per day, and after having worn my Docs for so many hours my feet are really "boiled" and since about four months ago my boots have begun to stink (even if I sometimes wear trainers and I wash my feet and change my socks quite regularly). And it got worse the few times I wore them in summer. However, the stink is bearable. Apart from that, I'm satisfacted with my choice and I'd BUY THEM AGAIN !

Good quality - I have had this pair since '95 and they truely live up to the quality that Docs are known for. Granted they are looking rather ragged now, they are still in great shape, and I use them if I'm going to do some rough work outside. I also own the typical Doc sandals which are OK. Just OK because I have a narrow foot and they don't exactly stay on very well. However, I use them all summer, and after 3 years, they still look brand new. I just bought another pair of black Doc boots this week so I'm hoping that they also live up to the boots I originally bought. And yes, what great prices!

This is my 6th pair of Docs. I love them as much as all the others. I have to admit, this is the only pair I ever had to break-in, but, after a month they fit my feet perfectly. As I knew they would. I agree, they should definitely bring back ox-blood, that was by far the coolest color ever. My fellow soccer moms think I am crazy for wearing "kids" shoes, but my feet feel great!

Best shoes I have ever had - I do a lot of walking around my college campus, and since I have sensitive feet, my feet would often feel very sore from walking around in sneakers all day. But these are great, my feet don't feel sore at all after wearing them all day. They hurt for about 4 days after I started to wear them, but it was bearable. I can wear them with anything; jeans, dress pants, etc., and they look great.

Oh baby - I have these in cherry red and they're sweet. My fourth pair of Docs (black mary janes, brown sandals, and blue/green boots) and my favorite. Yes, they do need breaking in, but that's why eventually they fit your feet like they would fit no one else's. It's a trip when you first try a pair of Docs, the air soles are great. I've had these for four years and the soles are still just like new, the color of the leather just as lovely, the shine remarkably resilient. And, oh course, you can never beat their style. One suggestion: If you don't wear socks in these the leather inside the boot tends to actually cut your feet. There is no lining inside these boots.

Gods feet - Praise the almighty boot for it is holy, o me o my, Doc Martens... they're great. I've had my pair for at least 4-5 years now and they're still comfortable. My only fault is I didn't have steel toes.

Superb - I bought my boots a few weeks ago. I first got them and I tried them on I was like "man, what's the big deal with these boots." But soon they loosened up and formed to my feet now I will not take them off untill bed time. They found a customer for life. I still have to wear my Converse chucks some though.

Dr. Marten 1460 series boot cherry red. I shopped online very thoroughly for a well made workboot with a gum sole that would leave no marks on any surface. I need a boot with a sole such as that, as I work at a marina and work on a lot of boats. Almost every boat is all white and I needed a gum sole boot that would not mark and blacken the gelcoat decks. I searching for a boot that was rugged, had good reputation for comfort and quality, a handsome boot, and could take abuse around the boatyard. This style and the red vintage color attracted me, and I researched the boots. I heard nothing but excellent remarks from happy customers who have owned this series boot. I just received mine today and they feel broken in, right out of the box, and they're so attractive and elegant, yet rugged. -And VERY comfortable. I've decided NOT to use them for work, but rather in place of wearing sneakers. They're just as comfortable, and so much more dressy, but not over-dressy. I'm now going to buy another pair just like them for work. The leather, I might add, is the softest and the soles conform to my feet at every step. I would recommend them for outdoorsmen, workmen, and people who enjoy a ruggedly stylish boot for every day use. When I get my next pair, I'll use them at work as well as at the rifle range, where I need a good field boot such as these. They look real military-like when you tuck your trousers into them, too. I'll forever purchase Dr. Marten 1460 series boots as long as they keep making them in cherry red and gum soles. I just plain love them. And Zappos delivered them to me in just 2 days. They're a very well oiled machine when it comes to customer satisfaction and reliability. I'll tell all my friends and family to go to Zappos for all their footwear needs. Great prices, great products. Just as good as I would rate the boots. Thanks Zappos! Ilove my new boots! I'll be back for more.

They're GREAT I've had mine for almost 10 years now and they are still in great shape. I bought them back in 93' when they were still "in", I don't think that they will ever completely out of style and if they are, I will still wear them because they are just wonderful shoes. They look great and feel great. They're GREAT!!!

1460s rule Docs are the only real luxury I allow myself in life. I have about eight pair (at different stages of wear) and love them all. Actually, come to think of it, because of how long they last, they're really not a luxury, just a sound investment. Of all the styles I've worn, the black smooth 1460s have to be the ultimate (although I couldn't pass up the sale on the Navy smooth and love them too). They are timeless classics and, like Black Converse Chuck Taylor hi-tops, will outlast all of the trendy pretenders. Highly recommended.

i just got my first pair of docs, they feel a little bit long but i still think they are a great shoe. I can tell they will take a while to break in, but I'm sure it will be worth it.

Traditional I received my 1st pair of Doc's in '93 after begging my mom for what seemed like an eterinty. My older sister already had 2 pair, now it was my turn. I picked out this exact style, then went on to this in a 20 eye. I hate the greasy, and agree that oxblood are better. They do take some breakin in time but it's all worth it, especially when they last you 9 yrs. I put them through hell.

Cherry Reds Dorothy (from the Wizard of Oz) had her red shoes and I have mine. I wear these to work at Dillard's Dept. Store and get so many compliments on the look. I am on my feet the entire day and my cherry red Doc Martens are tops in comfort.
