I've been wearing these for a couple weeks now, and I actually like them more than I thought I would. I run in Machs, so I probably wouldn't choose this for my everyday mileage shoe, but it's perfect for all day wear. If you want a comfortable shoe for every day, you've been considering HOKA and don't want to spend a fortune, this is the shoe!

The improvement to the bottom sole rubber is nice but the tounge is thick. I prefer the rincon 3 but these will do

I ordered the Hoka Rincon 4 as my first entry into the Hoka lineup, hoping it would be a good match for distance walking, light jogging, and senior mobility training. Out of the box, the shoes were impressively lightweight, but the first try on gave me pause. The combination of a high, firm arch platform and the lower heel padding left me feeling oddly unbalanced. Not good for a senior! It was almost like slipping back into Earth Shoes from the early '70s.
I rarely need a break-in period with running shoes, but the Rincon 4 definitely required some adjustment to the "rocker motion". After working through a stretch of sore arches and feet, things have settled in. The shoes are more comfortable now, but I'm still deciding whether this modelor Hoka in generalis the right fit for me.

Light, but tight compared my normal NB860. I can feel the "road" more under these shoes - vs the cushioning of the New Balance. Tight on my toes - laces too short to properly lace via the top eyelet. Bottom wears quickly. Knees felt OK, but hips did not feel good with these shoes (I am 60 YO - running for the last 25)

I've loved to wear RINCON 2 and 3. RINCON 3 is significantly more comfortable and has much better cushioning. We strongly hope that a product identical to RINCON 3 can be produced again.

Size didn't fit so I sent them back. Was disappointed because I liked the look.

Shoe feels great but kinda ugly. Dont know why wide shoes are so limited. Seems only few models come in wide.

These run so, incredibly small. I wear a size 7. I've now had reorder 3 different times to get a true fit, and the customer service has been awful.
Expect to purchase 2 sizes up!

Was always anti Hoka because of the bulky look but finally broke down and got a pair for a 3 week trip to Japan. Lotsa of walking required. Initially I loved them but after about 10 days they started rubbing on the back of both of my Achilles and eventually caused bleeding. I had to stop wearing them and went back to my Nike air zooms for the remainder of my trip. Very disappointed given the price I paid. Won't ever purchase Hoka again.

while so far we love the Hoka shoes. the Rincon 4 - size 14 wide, gave my husband a sore on this foot. He is diabetic so this is concerning. We have initiated an exchange with a different shoe. just be aware, it could possibly just be stitching or where the shoe cuts across the top of the foot.

The good news:
These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had.and I've had a LOT of Hokas.
The bad news:
The tread wore out so fast it was sickening. Literally wore out in less than 3 months.

This was a dissapointment. I wanted these shoes for work. Standing in water at times so when I see in the description that it has a 3 1/2 inch heel height, I ordered them. The heel is not even 1 1/2 inches high. Returned both pair.
I'd also recommend:

This is a great looking shoe, I purchased the shoe size 14 which was all they had. I wanted a 15 which became available the next day after I ordered the 14 D. Now the main problem is that the shoe advertises a 3 1/2 inch heel height. That must be a total misprint because the heel heigh barely hits a full inch. I am very disappointed in this and probably will be returning the 15 D also.

I preferred the previous Rincon versions (I have four other pairs with a ton of miles on them) so I've been disappointed with the Rincon 4. It's more firm and less cushiony. I made the switch over to the Bondi series.

Used it for every day shoe and it works ok. Tried it for running and it is terrible. Tried it for a workout and it was not bad but not the best

Fits and feels very well. But after less than 20 miles of running, the left heel is already showing wear.
