Earlier this year, I bought the Ghost Max, and they are wonderful for the cushioning and stability. I needed a waterproof shoe as we headed into the rainy season, but couldn't find a waterproof Brooks shoe that had the cushioning of the Ghost Max. I was hopeful, but skeptical when I ordered the Ghost 16 GTX, but I have been very happy with them. The cushioning has been sufficient, and my feet stay nice and dry.

Sometimes GTX version of a shoe would be less comfortable and does not fit as well, I was happy to discover it's not the case with Ghost 16 GTX. They fit great and are comfortable.

Love these! Was slightly skeptical about the "breathable" and waterproof but Brooks nailed it! These sneakers are wicked comfortable and super supportive. Laces have a slight stretch to them, but once you get used to tying them accordingly not an issues at all. Highly recommend!

I'm a housekeeper and Brooks are always my go to! I have yet to be disappointed and ghost is apart of my Brooks collection

I use the Ghost 16 GTX mainly for walking. It fits well and has ample support.

I love the color combo but I really needed a Wide, which was not available. My instep is high and it puts pressure on it. I may have to return it because of that. Otherwise, I love the shoe.

Beautiful shoes! Ordering was simple and delivery was fast. Wore them for several hours, today, for the first time. Fairly comfortable, but unfortunately they do not fit quite as nicely as the Addictions I've worn for years. After about 3 hours of walking short distances (running errands), I noticed some distinctly irritated spots on my big toe knuckle, on both shoes. Also, the foot pad doesn't seem to be quite as thick/cushy as the Addictions. However, I will continue to wear the shoes, but will probably go back to my Addictions next time. It's just that the Ghosts were suggested as a replacement for the Addictions. And they are so pretty!

I love the Ghost 16 gtx. This is the 3rd pair of ghosts GTX over the past 10 or 15 years. I recommend them to everyone that wants a great shoe.

I love ghost and was excited to try these because they are waterproof which I really wanted. I got the size I normally get with ghost which is already a half size more than what I normally get in other shoes. Well these are way too tight. I tried them for a couple weeks and they just are painful. So I returned them and got an additional half size up which just makes them too long and they are still too tight. I really wanted to like and wish they offered them in a bigger width but they dont so Im returning them and going back to regular ghost.

They feel a little clunkier and tighter than the regular Ghost 16 pair that I also bought at the same time. Other than that they are comfortable and help me walk/run without pain in knees or feet (this is a big deal for me because some other shoe models and brands DO cause knee and foot pain). I don't feel as much arch support compared to previous Ghost models but so far that has not caused issues. They are no warmer than the regular Ghost16 pair. I have not used them in wet conditions yet so I don't know how well they will keep the water/moisture out. I like this color but wish they had other colors as well.

These shoes are amazing! I am an avid brooks lover for over 10 years and needed a waterproof pair for a trip to Europe. These and so light weight and comfortable! The texture is soft unlike some other waterproof varieties, but they do indeed keep my feet dry! I have high arches and normal width feet with a slightly wider toe box and these fit me perfectly. I feel like they have the best arch support of any brooks shoes Ive purchased so far (even better than my current glycerins). I wish there were more colors because I want to buy them all!

So warm! Highly recommend these for winter running! My feet are always so warm!

I bought this shoe to walk in cold weather because my toes were too cold in my regular Ghost. The Goretex really does a great job in adding an element of warmth especially because it blocks the wind. The fit is really nice EXCEPT for one major problem. Because of the Goretex lining in the shoe, the fabric on top of the toes is extremely rigid. It makes it impossible to wiggle your toes and makes the toe area feel very restrictive and confining. After my last walk I had pain on the top of my left toe near the base of the nail. I'm going to try a somewhat thinner sock next time but it would be ideal if Brooks could make the front of the shoe higher with more space on top of the toes because of the stiffness of the Goretex in the shoe.

So in love with these! My feet never hurt while wearing them and didn't need to "break them in". These are my third pair and I will continue buying them.

I really like the shoes, theyre soft but have plenty of support.

I have a ton of ghost shoes and love them but for whatever reason these were too tight for me I had to loosen the laces so much just to get them on - then once I got them on and tied them - I had hardly any laces left to tie and it was just to tight across the top of my foot

I love this shoe. My podiatrist recommended Brooks to me years ago, and I've have a really good one for walking in dry and/or warm weather. It has a great mesh upper. However, I also needed a shoe for walking in cold weather while it's raining. I've now worn this one a few times in rain, and it keeps my feet warm and dry. I only wish it came in wide as I have wide feet and very high arches. However, I solved that problem by buying the next half size up and by rethreading the shoelaces to every other hole so the shoe accommodates my feet.

Good fit; stability excellent.
