A great follow up to the original Ghost Max. Just as comfortable and stable, but with a little more style. They do run a little smaller. I had to go up a half size.

So first a little background on me. I have disintegrated discs in my lumbar spine so I have moderate low back and leg pain daily. I'm also a nurse on my feet 14 hours a day so this is my take on the Ghost Max 2. I have no doubt this is a sturdy shoe but being a lover of the Ghost Max this Ghost Max 2 felt completely different. I was expecting improvements on the things I loved about the Ghost Max such as the comfort and Max cushion. I felt this shoe to be very stiff, narrow and uncomfortable for me to wear. I put them on just before work as I did with my Ghost Max shoes but the difference was with the Ghost Max I instantly fell in love with the shoe as soon as I put them on and stood up to walk. I did not feel this with the Ghost Max 2. So I boxed them back up and returned them and purchase another pair of Ghost Max.

I like the fit. The toe box is a bit more accommodating than the regular Ghost. The rocker style is nice. It will be a good trainer for longer runs. It does not feel as plush or responsive as the Aurora BL I previously ran in (Please Brooks, bring the Aurora back!). The Ghost Max is a good all purpose running shoe - maybe not for fast paced tempo runs or races but a solid trainer

Ghost Max 2 is a stepped up Ghost Max. The ultimate sole with the max cushion that is not sloppy but ultra forgiving. It's like a firm pillow with cloud like cushion that lasts a good while. At first they start pretty firm but after about 10 days of breaking in they fit perfect and are super durable. These shoes were made to last. These are the best shoes you can buy. I highly encourage everyone looking at these to take the chance and get these shoes.

I really like this shoe. It is lightweight, and has a very roomy toe box, with plenty of cushion as well. It also offers a nice rocker bottom which takes stress off the calves, and was recommended by my podiatrist for my plantar fasciitis condition.

Love the Ghost Max line. I really like the Ghost line in general but the max line is a step above. Helps my run to feel more effortless.

Great shoe and available in 4E! However, as with all extra-wide running shoes, it's somehow impossible to get them in the variety of colors offered in all other shoes.

Super comfortable, probably the most comfortable shoe i have ever worn. Only complaints are 1. Id prefer the heel come up a little higher. Just sits a little low on my ankle. Could just be my fat foot. 2. The shoe laces are like a foot to long.

The Ghost Max 2 wont stay bright white for long as they are my new go-to for my neighborhood runs. This is the first pair of Brooks Ive owned as I always thought they were for older folks. This pair changed my perspective! They are very comfortable and fit my feet just right. Ive even used them during for CrossFit workouts and found them to be great for box jumps and jump rope. The cushion is has been great for my knees especially only a year and a half out from ACL surgery. If you have knee, ankle, or lower back issues, you will appreciate the comfort and stability of this shoe. All the extra foam and comfort features mean that they are not the coolest-looking shoes in my collection, which is the only drawback. As a mid-30s busy dad, style is often a second thought.

I am 4E and have been wearing the black/black/onyx color scheme in the Ghost, Ghost Max and Adrenaline series since it blends nicely as an office type shoe too. Incredibly disappointed that I can't get the Max2 as I have been looking forward to it, but that blue bit ruined it. Please make the classic black in 4E.

Ive been using the Ghost Max 2 for a few weeks now and I cant say anything bad about them. The feel when running is great and hasnt left me feeling tired after my runs. My legs and feet afterwards have a feeling of wanting to go run some more if I had the time to do so. The look of the shoe is nice and sleek. I got the all white which may not have been the best idea since they quickly have a need for a clean but the shoe still feels great even after cleaning them. The materials and construction have felt and still feel sturdy. Ive put over 50 miles on the so far and they fit snug as I would like them to when going for a run. I look to continue to use these more as I like not feeling worn out after a run and these have given me the wanted bounce and shock absorption wanted. Would definitely recommend picking up a pair, just maybe not in all white!

These are one of my favorite pairs of shoes now. They fit just how they should and I honestly feel like I'm walking on air. The shoes are not tight and the laces stay tied after I put them on. While not super breathable I do still find that my feet do breathe in them. They're made very nice and the material and stitching is all high quality.

Overall: The Ghost Max 2 is a great shoe for the short to medium distance runs, recovery runs, or for someone who spends a lot of time on their feet during the day. The DNA Loft v3 cushioning is amazing, striking a very appropriate balance of forgiving yet firm. And the 6mm drop from heel to toe really helps provide a smooth transition for anyone prone to heel striking. The tradeoff for all of this is a shoe that is probably slightly heavier than average, but the positives certainly reward the wearer for that. I would not recommend it for agility or sprint workouts. Design & Material: The design combines a traditional athletic look with elements that express modernity, making it versatile for running, walking, and casual wear for errands. The fabric used in the Brooks Ghost Max 2 is breathable and durable, though the all white version definitely attracts blemishes quickly. The upper provides efficient airflow, which is a big benefit for activity in warmer summer weather. The DNA Loft v3 is again, amazing. It was responsive, yet sturdy. I put on 25 miles in my first week with these shoes and the soles haven't shown any wear yet. Fit and Feel: From the moment I put on the shoes, they felt comfortable and surrounded my feet well. My heels were well secured with no slipping, and the toe box was roomy without being too much. Overall, the shoe has ample cushioning without feeling bulky or too tight. Just the perfect amount of snug. I did not experience any issues with the toe box during my runs of 5 and 10km. And during a day of 15k steps, I honestly hardly noticed that I had put that many in. The Ghost Max 2 made it so that I was ready to keep going. What I Liked Most: The standout feature of the Brooks Ghost Max 2 is its' superior cushioning in the DNA Loft v3. The midsole provides a perfect balance of softness and responsiveness. I could see this shoe being particularly beneficial for walkers/runners who require extra support and comfort. What I Would Change: While the Brooks Ghost Max 2 excels in many areas important to runners or people who spend a lot of time on their feet, however, the weight could be a concern for some wearers. And it would be great if there was an added layer of protection to the material so it doesn't absorb dirt so quickly. Overall, The Ghost Max 2 is a high quality shoe that functions the way it is supposed too. If you like high-stack shoes without the squishy feeling, this is the balanced ride for you.

The original Ghost Max sneakers were the only shoe that prevented hip, knee, foot pain for years. The Ghost Max 2 is not only a huge disappointment but has a negative impact on my body. They are heavier and just not as comfortable as the original, even after break in. In an attempt to make a great shoe more durable, they botched it.

The color options are diverse, catering to different tastes, from classic black to vibrant hues. Fabric: The fabric used in the Brooks Ghost Max 2 is both breathable and durable. The upper mesh allows for excellent airflow, keeping your feet cool during intense runs. Additionally, the material dries quickly, which is a plus for those who run in various weather conditions. This shoe is particularly beneficial for runners who require extra support and comfort. What I Would Change: While the Brooks Ghost Max 2 excels in many areas, its weight could be a bit lighter. Although the cushioning is excellent, a slight reduction in weight would make the shoe even more appealing, particularly for speed training and longer runs. Overall, the Brooks Ghost Max 2 is an outstanding running shoe that delivers on comfort, style, and performance. With a few minor tweaks, it could be nearly perfect for a wide range of runners.

I have the Ghost 15 and the Ghost Max. I had high hopes for the Ghost Max 2 but had to return 2 sizes because the Ghost Max 2 is shorter and narrower than the Ghost Max. All I wanted was more cushion and a sturdier shoe, but I gave up trying different sizes of this shoe.

Firstly, the 6mm midsole drop introduced with the Ghost Max 1 and kept in the 2 has been a real gift for me as I don't feel that I am being launched forward as with the 10 and 12mm shoes. Thank you Brooks! The Ghost Max 2 is a nice improvement over the Ghost Max 1. The outsole and the nitro infused midsole are much more stable and durable than those of the Ghost Max 1. For myself the 2 fits my size 14 wide foot much better. Definitely my favorite Brooks shoe now.
