Returning shoe. I developed a blister after running 4 miles in these shoes. I wanted to like them but I think I will stick to my Adrenaline GTS shoes.

Loved my original Ghost Max. These Max 2's are more stiff, left & right don't feel equally comparable (left hurts under toes & ball of foot), and both seems overall shorter (toes hit end of shoe).

I have owned and loved all of my Brooks Ghost and Glycerin shoes. Unfortunately this last purchase has been disappointing. I work and healthcare and for the most part I am up on my feet. My foot started hurting on its sides. None of my previous ones did.

I was a fan of Ghost shoes several years ago but I found that the cushioning broke down after a few months. I was still a fan of the Brooks brand so I decided to try the Glycerin model. I experienced the same thing. I primarily wear the Glycerin while at work. I've found even with these the cushioning wears out quickly, which can be costly to keep purchasing every few months.

Original Ghost Max are way better. Brooks, please bring back the original ghost max! Or at least something that is closer to it than these new ghosts Max 2. The original ghost max roll better in the front then these ones do. I have a really bad knee so that role in the front was such a game changer!!! When the original ghost Max came out, I liked them so much that I bought 6 pairs of them! With these new ghost max 2, I bought 2 pairs in 1 day and regretted buying the second pair. I should've only bought one pair I was just so excited thinking that the new version of the shoe was gonna be so much better than the other one, but was sadly disappointed.I even recommended these shoes to a friend of mine, and she agrees that ghost max 2 does not roll as good as the ghost max originals, she likes the first ones better. I also feel like the new ones are more narrow in the front and don't give you as much toe space as the old ones. I almost thought I bought the wrong size because the shoe is so much more snug than the other one. I feel like my feet are getting squished all the time. Disappointed.

I have worn the Dyad line for years, I have had plantars fasciitis flareups off and on for years, I was told the Ghost Max 2 were the most similar to the Dyad (which was discontinued). These are not anywhere near the shoe the Dyad was. The pain in my heal during and after wearing these new shoes are to the point that I don't know that I can continue wearing them and may have to look at something besides Brooks even though I just bought these. I am very disappointed in these shoes.

I wanted to badly to love these shoes because I liked the way they looked. I tried them for about a month but left me with painful feet, knees, and shins daily. The shoelaces do not stay tied and the tongue slips to either side. I am bummed on these. For reference, I work in healthcare and am on my feet for 8-10 hours/day.

I usually wear Ghosts and thought the Ghost Max would be even betterbut they aren't for me. I put them on and immediately felt like the top of the shoe was in the way of the top of my toenailweird. I walked 1 mile and 1/4 of the way through I knew I needed to change my shoes once I lapped my house (pretty much at the 1 mile mark). I changed back into my Ghost 16 and felt relieved. I also felt a little off balance at first because the shoes are so elevated and bouncy compared to the Ghost 16 or even barefoot. Returning asap.

This is a hard, block shoe. No cushion, too narrow even in medium width, shallow vertical space in toebox, not flexible at all. Very uncomfortable all around. Sent it back !!

So disappointed in these! I loved my original ghost max shoes that I rebought them 3 times! The "updated" ghost max 2 is definitely a downgrade. Very uncomfortable and zero arch support. My feet ache worse wearing these for a day than wearing heels on a night out.

I bought the max ghost 2 more for doing a lot of walking quickly with my job. I am normally standing up for at least 11 1/2 hours I wore them the first day and they weren't that comfortable to me. They seem to make my feet fatigued. I decided to give him another try second time I wore them for at least 12 hours and they did the same thing. I am a true 7 in a sneaker but this one it felt with the cushioning in the back of the sneaker, pushed my foot forward, and it kept hitting the front. When I had to kneel down the front of my foot hurt no cushioning or seem very soft where my other sneakers had a little harder front to protect my toes. They were a nice looking sneaker. I had a lot of compliments on them, but the amount of time that I wore them, but just not for me.

I tried these shoes, as an on-line review indicated they were good walking shoes. These are weird shoes. The soles have a pivot point under the arches that cause the toes to immediately drop when walking rather than rolling through the step. They are not comfortable for walking.

Definitely cushioned, but absolutely no arch support which led to pronation and then plantar fasciitis. If you try to swap out the insole for anything else, then they're so tall that you lack stability. I don't want to pay for return shipping, so to the back of the closet they go!

Plenty of padding in this shoe, length true to size (38/women's US 8) but too box toe narrow and shallow. Too bad Brooks has changed the design of their shoes, Ghost versions especially. Changes my running/walking gate, very uncomfortable. Returned.

Mistake. Unfortunately purchased on clearance and cannot return. I had two pair of original Ghost Max which I loved and wore out. I am in a very busy health care clinic and on my feet all day. After a day in these, my ankle arthritis was flared up. The whole shoe (especially the toe box) is narrower than the original Ghost Max and a tad shorter as well. The shoe feels hard and not cushioned and if that's not enough, my heel slips out with every step no matter how I lace the shoes. I am very disappointed. I would love to see the original Ghost Max come back.

At first they were great however after the first month I started developing heel pain and now after two months I cannot use them due to immense heel pain. I switched to other shoes and felt a lot better. I work in healthcare and im on my feet most of the day.

I have fallen arches from two back to back pregnancies, so I gave these shoes a try. I felt very supported at first, but after the shoes broke in, I don't feel like my arches have enough support anymore. I wouldn't recommend these for someone with fallen arches, but otherwise they have good cushioning and cute design

I have three pair of the original Ghost Max and love them! These, not so much. The toe box is smaller and they aren't as comfortable. Unfortunately, I waited too long and can't return them. I still have them but, I can only wear them for short periods because they start bothering my toes. I work in health care and wear my originals while working long hours on my feet with no issues at all. I've been searching the internet for originals in my size to grab them up while I can since they have been discontinued. I would be one happy camper if they would bring back the original Ghost Max in cool new colors!

I loved my Ghost Max after being a Brooks Ghost fan for 10 years. I am on my feet for 10 hr days in the service industry and I was highly disappointed in the Ghost Max 2. After a month I noticed less cushion/support and it felt compacted on my heels. By the second month I was worried I was developing Plantar Fasciitis, but once I switched to a different shoe for three days the pain went away. I tried the shoes again hoping it was a fluke and the pain came right back. I would buy the original again but stay away from the 2nd version. Thankfully Brooks has a great return policy.

Have worn Brooks Dyad for years. I wear a hinged rigid brace and the dyad was wonderful for use brace. I was hardly able to walk in the ghost Max shoe. The artificial shaping of the arch and heel structure on the inside of the shoe made it impossible to wear the brace up with it and removing the insole was of no help. The extra sole along with the extreme rocker build deeply affected my step. I regret that I no longer can wear Brooks and this shoe was recommended as the replacement for the Dyad. I I am sure if you regularly walk, as I used to, or run this is a marvelous shoe; but for anyone wearing any kind of appliance or brace, it will not work.

As a senior, I wear the regular Ghost almost daily and have for several years. The new Max feels clunky and heavy and seems to have less arch support than the Ghost 16. I will stay with the regular Ghost.
