Footbed is hard. Raised toe is uncomfortable. Makes a fart noise when walking. The regular size is so much more narrow on this pair than my other regular Birkenstock sandals. Overall, for the price, I’m not impressed with these at all. They are low quality, not something I expected from Birkenstock.

I really like the style of these shoes. However, I expected them to be MUCH softer (which is what I purchased them for, to be a walking shoe in warmer weather). Instead, the cork bed used is on the harder side. But the worst part is the material that coats the cork footbed - it feels like a hard plastic! Why would they do this? These are going back.

These are so pretty and comfortable, however, I didn’t like the coating on the footbed. It felt like plastic and was uncomfortable.

This particular style for Birkenstock did not fit my narrow feet as well and the standard Birkenstock sandal. Returned and ordered the standard style.

I love these, but need the narrow fit.

I've loved the Gizeh for years. The big brass buckle on this version looks great against the oiled leather. The footbed, which in this big buckle model is a dyed leather instead of suede, is hideous. A total style mismatch with the oiled leather straps. Another reviewer noted that the footbed dye stained her feet. I'm keeping the shoes and hoping that the leather in the footbed will be worn to a patina asap. Hey, Birkenstock, don't mess with the suede footbeds!

They say that this shoe runs narrow but it's not narrow enough for those who are a true AA or AAA. It's a super cute shoe and I love the hot pink but I sent them back and ordered the Arizona narrow in hot pink and kept those instead.

I have small, narrow feet, and these look huge on me. I was bummed because I can wear the original style, and pull those off. These just don’t work for a thin, narrow foot, in my opinion. :(

I loved these sandals in the cognac color, on my daughter, and wanted the same shoes. I tried them on for size and the fit was good, so I ordered the same size she had. The cognac is sold out everywhere so I went with the white. The white looked very cheap and the shoe was not comfortable, a little too narrow even for my narrow foot. The leather was very hard. I had to return these.

Love them! The big buckle is such a cute addition. They took awhile to break in, which is normal from what I’ve heard, but wearing them a few hours each day for a few weeks got them to the point where I can now where them all day with no issues whatsoever. I am a 7.5 or 8 depending on the shoe, but in these I went with the 38 (7-7.5) and they’re just right.

Love these! They take a minute to break in. Definitely feel stiff at first. But they form to your foot as you wear them. And love love the big buckle design :)

I am a long-time Gizeh fan and decided to purchase the Big Buckle for a little change. I love the look (slightly more glamorous that the regular Gizeh) and the fit is exactly the same as the standard Gizeh. The coated black footbed is dressier and my foot sits in it without any sliding.

These are beautiful--casual but elevated by the big buckle The cognac color is great. I love Gizah Birkenstocks and own a few other pairs. I wear 8.5 US and Euro size 39 is perfect. I have noticed that the big buckle styles take a little longer to break in because the strap is thicker, but once they soften up and form to your foot they are wonderful.

This is a beautiful sandal. I’m a big fan of the Gizeh style. I absolutely love the big buckle! It is a comfortable shoe out the box.

I am loving this big buckle design!! I have a few pairs of Birkenstocks in other styles, all size 41, but this is my first Gizeh big buckle (I got the cognac oil rubbed leather). I ordered a 41 regular in this one as well, and the fit is exactly the same as my other Birkenstock styles. I totally agree with other reviewers who say this has a "leveled up" look! If you've never tried Birkenstocks, they conform to your foot after just a couple of times wearing them so don't worry about any stiffness you may feel right out of the box! I dealt with plantar fasciitis for years, but I can wear these 12+ hours a day with no problem and it has never come back! I highly recommend giving them a shot. :)

I've been wearing birks forever, and these big buckle ones are my favorite. IDK if I can ever go back to the regular styles now! They are just as comfortable as their traditional styles, but look a little bit more elevated.

Size and fit is perfect. Great shoes. I ended exchanging for a different color

The sandals were damaged from previous wear with strap on one damaged from being buckled and the insole on other scratched into the black leather. I am returning and not replacing through ZAPPOS as this is the second time I ordered these and now both times damaged. Also, this pair like the previously damaged pair did not come in a Birkenstock box. I am not going to pay $150 for sandals damaged by a previous buyer.

I'm a long time Birkenstock customer....these are the best I've ever worn. The leather footbed feels smoother on my feet then the traditional cork. Not sure I'll ever purchase the cork footbed again, that's how much I like them!

Love the leather insole. Stays cleaner than other Birkenstocks with the suede insole.

The straps were just too wide.

When these shoes arrived I was so excited. They are super cute and stylish! I have never had the Big buckle. I was kind of bummed because I saw that they had the soft foamish footbed. I don't like the ones on my water Birks but these are different. the material looks similar but it's not the same cheap material they use on the Gizeh water shoes. This is a better quality and oh, so very comfortable. I had a small piece on the leather strap that was a bit dented, but I decided to keep them anyway. It's not something that's noticeable unless you are looking for flaws. Which I don't want to do, I just want to wear them and enjoy them. And I do enjoy wearing them. I have 5 pairs of Gizeh Birks and love them all, but these take the cake. I'm a 8 1/2 and got a 39. I will say I maybe could have done the 38 because I'm at the tightest it can go and I still have some room. My feet are usually always swelling and it's not been an issue in these, due to the room on the top where the strap is.

These sandals need no breaking in. They are very comfortable and stylish. They are true to size and run a little narrow, so they are a perfect fit for my narrow feet.
