I've loved Birkenstocks for years, but unfortunately, the fit is still off for me. The raised edges and insole do work well for my feet. I am so disappointed as this is a gorgeous, versatile sandal. It's absolutely beautiful in person.

The 38s are exactly the same length as my older 37 Gizehs, and narrower in the heels. So narrow they hurt, sadly. I don't have super skinny heels, but I have never been made to feel like I have fat heels!? they seem to fit in pretty much all med. width shoes, and in reg. old Birks. These are really adorable; not sure I can go back to the old Gizehs after seeing them. What the heck with the new footbed?? I really wish they fit.

For me the only negative in the big buckle is the footbed. Maybe I haven’t worn them enough, but the foot beds are squeaky and I’m not a fan. I really love the look of them.

This was really uncomfortable between my toes and only on one foot. Such a disappointment because these shoes are really beautiful and otherwise comfortable!

TTS (if you know your size - I find I must order a full size down). Lovely color. Comfortable as always.

They do take some getting used to. Insoles are nice, smooth leather. Finally, after years of sweaty and smelly suede insoles. I hope Birkenstock will make a lot more styles with the smooth leather insole. I ordered a second pair in black. The first black pair they sent were defective. I called Zappos and they are sending a replacement pair. Defective pair is being returned. The cork was crumbling behind the heel area. The first pair that I bought about a month ago is now having an issue with the white sole coming apart. Hopefully a bit of Superglue will fix it. I wear these as summer slippers in my home and in my back yard on my patio. Once you get used to them (I haven't worn them in many years) they really are very comfy!

I REALLY wanted these to work. But I have VERY narrow feet and while I see how some with slightly narrow feet could wear these, sadly, I cannot. I had to pull the strap all the way to the smallest opening and even then I could have gone tighter. Now the strap is buckling from being pulled so tight. So these will have to go back. They are SUPER cute and my husband even commented that he liked these best.

It’s a beautiful shoe but I did end up returning it. The toe strap was very stiff and hurt when I walked. Since I didn’t know how long it would take to wear down to the point where it would be comfortable, I decided not to take the gamble. I’ve been wearing Birkenstocks for years. This is the first that I’ve had to return due to comfort.

loved the color and comfort of the cork footbed. The wider strap was not flattering. The toe bar hit me in the wrong spot. I ear an 8 and the 39, recommended, was too big overall for me.

Absolutely love this sandle. Color is awesome, fit is great....however, if you have shorter toes this style is not a good choice. The toe strap is too wide. Couldn't see much of my toes and was worried the strap might rub the tops of my toes. I was really bummed I had to return. Arizona style is a much better choice if you have shorter toes.

Although the sandals are wonderful, the soles seem too bulky and I feared I might trip with them

These shoes were not too big or too small, they were just ill fitting. The toes do not fit in the normal birkenstock spot and the toe piece was made of the most uncomfortable, stiff material. Choose another Birkenstock for your summer update.

I loved the shoe, but the fit was to short and to narrow. In a birkenstock I always wear a 42, but because of this style I thought I would go up a size for more toe room, however it didn't work. I really hated to return and the only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because my toes rubbed the end of the shoe.

I’ve had these birks since July 1st and love everything about them…except the footbed is black and every time I wear them my feet turn black! Super bummed.

This is my 10th pair of Berks in this style and these are not as comfortable as any of my other pairs. Could stand in these for just a few hours. Style is great, just not your usual Birkenstock comfort bed.

I wanted to love this shoe. I've never had Birks before and I know they can be stiff to begin with. Love LOVE the big buckle. But the toe separator is really hard and uncomfortable .That coupled with the rigidity of the shoe it was just hard for me to justify the price. They were already a splurge for me so they will have to go back. If they weren't as much of a splurge I would probably keep them and wear in discomfort for the sake of looking cute! I'll cross my fingers the cheaper Cushionaire brand will release a big buckle knock off soon.

these look good but for me they are too heavy and too stiff.

I have owned Birkenstock’s in the past. They were comfortable from the first wear. These are not and I’m now considering returning them. They look great and the width and length are true to size, but the strap in between the toes is very uncomfortable and I’m not even sure that part is leather. It feels more like hard plastic. I’m going to give it a few more days but overall I’m very disappointed. For the price I expected more.

Fit very different width and length compared to the Arizona sandal. The sole/footbed was narrower than the Arizona, yet they're the same size (Women's 39 or 8-8.5US) The thong was uncomfortable also and the straps were very loose.

I have about 10 pairs of birkenstocks in my closet but most were purchased more than 5 years ago. I am so disappointed in the current styles as they are not wide enough for me. I am a 7.5 WW. The earlier versions (I always buy Gizeh or Mayori) had more give and the footbed quickly conformed to my wide feet. This smooth leather bottom is stiff and hurt my feet. Not comfortable. Also feels like it would get slippery when humid.

liked better off than on, the middle toe strap is very uncomfortable, first pair of birkenstocks i have found not to be comfortable

Although the fit and size were fine, I did not like the white sole in person as much as I did from the picture. Additionally, I did not like the look of the plastic toe piece; I didn't wear them so I can't speak to the comfort of the plastic toe thong.

The style and color are both great. I would have kept and enjoyed very much except the plastic piece that goes between your toes is unbelievably hurtful. Couldn’t even wear for a minute. To bad for me.

These are really cool, but very uncomfortable in between my toes. It’s true that I don’t always love a toe thong, but these are particularly uncomfortable. I will return them and get the other style.

I ordered my size based on the European sizing which I generally find more helpful when I’m not sure whether I am an 8.5 or a 9. These were comically large on me. Definitely run large, not true to size.
