I think this shoe was slightly small (narrow) for an 8.5 My toes brushed the front ridge of the shoe on the edges, which would always be uncomfortable so I had to send them back. They are made of very good quality leather. The foot bed feels more and looks more plastic (EVA) like than I normally enjoy. I found a pair of Eastland shoes, elsewhere, with a similar leather style - but narrower straps, two buckles and traditional sueded footbed. My friends thought they looked better. They were more comfortable and they were about $100 less expensive.

I am a Birkenstock customer and I ordered my normal size in the narrow width. This shoe style would not stay on my foot. The foot bed is smooth leather as opposed to the suede material that they usually use. Super cute shoe, but didn't work for me, had to return. Always appreciative of Zappo's free to and return shipping policy!

I adore the look of these shoes and am keeping them. However, they aren't quite as comfortable as my Gizehs or my plastic Madrids. The large buckle hits the top of my foot when walking, as it doesn't bend when my foot does. Also my left small toes hit the side/corner of the shoe when I walk, even though I've adjusted the strap to be snug. These are a "narrow", which may be the reason, but my larger right foot doesn't have the same issue. So, I probably won't wear them for hours on end, but for shorter activities I think they'll be fine, and they are SO CUTE!

I know that Birkenstocks take a while to break in but these gave me such bad blisters the first time that I haven’t been able to wear any sandals for 2 weeks and counting. Maybe by next summer these will be my go to sandals, until then they are house shoes only with socks!

I have a lot of Birkenstock’s and a few in narrow but prefer regular width for my 10m feet. These are a bit extra narrow, they still fit bit aren’t as comfortable as other pairs. I wish they were available in regular width. The orange color is nice a tad darker than the pics online but I plan on keeping them.

Yep. They fart. A little powder helps. Otherwise, classic birks. TTS. I usually get the regular width but these fit fine in the narrow. The buckle did not pinch me as others have noted. But I may not be noticing from making fart sounds back at them. Seriously tho, they do make an unfortunate noise, yet so comfy & cute that I’m keeping. I’ve had the small buckle style of Madrids before & had bunion issues with those. These don’t seem to do that. Do make me laugh which is a huge plus

I have wide feet with bunions, but these were still plenty wide. I’ve owned quite a few Birkenstock’s in the past and these are not as comfortable as most. I’m keeping them though because they’re so cute and am hoping they break in over time.

Love the style and the color. Im on my feet all day w work and almost exclusively wear Birkenstock’s, because they are good looking and comfortable which is a hard combo to find. This style fits the bill except it doesn’t have the soft sole that some Birkenstock styles do and I have grown to love. I’ll still be wearing them but I’m ordering another pair w the soft sole for longer days. I wear an 8.5 in other shoes but in Birks I like a snugger fit and order the 38.

Do not plan to wear these out of the box, you need to follow the usual Birkenstock break in procedures for a few weeks first or that buckle is going to cut you up. Very cute and I always get a lot of compliments on them but patience is key! They do break in eventually so keep at it!

These are so adorable and the fit was as my many other Birkenstocks. Unfortunately the beautiful silver buckle made walking in the sandals painful. A few steps around the house and I could not stand how it pushed into the top of my foot. Sad.

So stinking cute but the one big strap in hard leather was sure to foot into my foot. No telling if I would have ever broken these in. Also, my feet does not seem to tolerate the ultra hard sole of regular birkenstocks (i.e. not soft foot bed) these days. The leather lined interior felt harder than normal. As usual, birkenstock size 37/6-6.5 perfectly fit my 7.5-8 foot.

The footbed was not as comfortable as my other berks. I almost kept because so cute, but decided on more stable Arizona big buckle

Loved the overall look. I wear a 39 reliably but sadly it is just too wide even on the lowest buckle opening. Difficult to walk without a thick sock. Loved the ice blue color too, a great neutral.

First pair of Birkenstock’s I’ve ever bought bc these are actually cute!! Bought them in the bluish/silver color. Received many compliments already. Sizing: I’m usually a solid 10. Needed to size up a 1/2 size to fit the toe bed correctly, that’s not an option so went a full size. Still fit comfortably. I’ve only see these offered in a Narrow width. I would not normally buy narrow, but this works out great for the style of this shoe.

I wanted to love this shoe, have been seeking a non-thong type supportive sandal but they are always too wide. I had high hopes for this as I got it in the narrow width. Unfortunately, even at the smallest setting, the shoe was too loose. I considered adding another hole to the strap but the foot bed was just still a bit too wide.

Love how cute these big buckle flip flops look on. However, they may not fit large (women's 10), narrow, flexible feet that well. The strap is a bit too close to the toe to hold the shoe in place, so my toes shifted over the edge. I had to return. Hope Birkenstock redesigns, because if they do, I will buy these in every color.

The footbed is leather and not plastic. However, this model runs larger than the Madrid pair with big buckle in cognac that I purchased last year. I measured the upper leather and it is one inch larger than my other Madrid pair. Too bad, I thought for sure that I would love this pair as much.

Order down a size. Great gold buckle- fits like a burk w/ great style

I knew this purchase would be a gamble because the shoes are marked as "narrow", but other reviewers (with average feet) said it wasn't an issue, so I gave them a try. Sadly, they were too narrow for me—it doesn't help that I'm flat-footed. I could get them on but I knew my arch wasn't sitting where it should and they would blister if I wore them around. The box was actually very helpful, too - it has a printed guide that lets you measure your foot and see your correct width. It confirmed that my foot was too wide for these. Also, really not a fan of the "Rose gold" - it's too baby pink for my taste. I'll have to stick to Birkenstock's regular width and a more neutral color.

I loved them for two days. Then, my 10-month-old dog ate them ... *sigh*. In any event, I found a new pair and I will love them as well. One note: the footbed is made of "smooth leather, NOT PLASTIC. Read all of the information on the page! It will inform you!

Sooo beautiful but big buckle cuts into top of the foot. I kept them and with time it got better. I wore them with socks around house for a day and it got better after that.

My second pair of Birks in almost 15 years. These Birks run large - I took a 39 (8 - 8 1/2) when I am consistently a size 9. I was a little taken aback that these only came in narrow, but they were just fine on my normal width foot. They are a slimmer fitting Birk sandal, which I prefer because they don't make my feet look huge. I didn't have trouble adjusting the buckle (which is ADORBS!) - I did have to adjust all the way down to keep my foot from slipping on the footbed. I'm not sure what the footbed is, but I would guess that it's a treated leather. My right foot does slide a bit on the footbed, so I am getting a squeaking noise when I walk at a brisk pace, so for this reason I'm on the fence if I'll keep them. I hope the next time I try them that this noise will disappear.
