I ordered the narrow based on reviews but they were too narrow for my feet. I am not going to order the regular because I felt that the soles were too hard for my feet.

I love Zappos, so this is not a diss to them, but if you want to buy Birkenstock shoes, I highly recommend you go to an actual store and try them on there. This brand of shoe varies a lot in size (even when you have the same pair of those, one could be slightly smaller than the other). I bought this in 2 widths, same size (37). The regular width fit slightly too big in length, and slightly too wide. And the narrow fit fine in width, but it was way too small in length (as if I was wearing a 36). Zappos kindly refunded me for the two and sent another 37 narrow - only I had the exact same issue. I even called Birkenstock customer service directly and asked if the 37 narrow should be smaller in length, and they said no. Called Zappos again, and they suggested I try a size up. 38 narrow was, not surprisingly, way too big. I ended up going to Nordstrom and trying on the 37 in three different colors. The colors don't matter but it's easier to distinguish the size issues by naming the color. The mocha 37, both right and left shoe fit perfectly - there was enough space in the toe and heel area to where I was not touching the outer edge - so Birkenstock customer service was right, the 37 narrow should NOT be smaller in length than the regular width. The taupe 37, the left was perfectly fine in size and the right shoe was annoyingly too small. It is the most frustrating experience buying shoes from this brand because of the inconsistency in sizing, but they're so comfortable. So if you want to put in a lot of effort for the comfort, buy the shoe. I just suggest going to the store and trying them on there. Shoutout to Zappos for the superb customer service though, you guys are awesome!!!!

The reason I returned these sandals was because the left foot felt like a different sandal than the right. Something in the making of this pair of sandals was off. I've worn Birkenstocks for years but lately they don't fit like my old ones did. If I'd been in a real store, I would have just asked for a different pair in the same size to try on but online shopping has become a chore. What was once convenience has become more work than it's worth.

I ordered this shoe after admiring an identical pair which my daughter had (she had purchased hers at a department store). The two are different, however: the pair purchased at zappos has a rigid suede upper, while my daughter's shoe has a soft, giving suede upper. Unfortunately, the rigid upper on my shoe ended up cutting into the top of my foot, resulting in bleeding and scabbing. I had already worn the shoes outside, so I didn't attempt to return them. Buyer beware of this feature. I am a long time Birkenstock wearer, and have not encountered this before.

I have worn these sandals once and the front edge is rolling under my left toe. Very disappointed as I'd had a previous pair I had worn for 10 years without a problem.

I was so happy when Birkenstocks finally decided to make narrow sandals. However, upon trying these on, it was obvious that they were not going to work. I found them profoundly uncomfortable with a very hard and high arch support. Also, they made my feet look like duck feet. My toes were spread out. If you have flat feet, you are going to want to stay far away from these sandals, at least this style. I guess I have to go back and start my search all over again for comfortable narrow sandals before the weather gets really hot.

So disappointed! Had tried on the soft footbed in another color last summer and was excited to receive these. Unfortunately, the staples from the buckle hurt my toes and raised edge of the shoes also uncomfortable. Have to return these. I expected better quality - they don't have the same look or feel as the ones I tried on last summer. I'm giving 3 starts for comfort as the soft foodbed is very good.

Oh my gosh!! After my last pair of Arizonas wore out, I ordered these. What a disappointment. I thought I had accidentally ordered a men's. the strap is much longer (I measured) than the old ones. I have had to put 3 new holes in the strap which stretch out constantly.

I am so disappointed in this item. I have these black suede sandals and was ordering another pair The pair I have is real suede, so soft. The pair that arrived in the mail is stiff and has sharp edges. It does not feel like real suede, maybe a synthetic suede. The sharp edges rub my toes. As I wear Birkenstocks all the time, these Arizonas with soft footbed are a major disappointment.

The Flower Crush Mocha sandals were not well represented in the pictures online and I must admit they are not what I expected. First, the color was very shiny, and second, it was a mix of green and purple painted on a dark brown suede. Actually, bright green was the predominant color over more than half the straps. Just not what I expected as far as the color.

I love all my Birkenstocks, but this pair in Jasper seemed to run a little small (short, to be more precise). My toes were hitting the top ridge of the footbed & was really uncomfortable. That never happened in all my other Birkenstocks. I ordered the same size I always am, but somehow this pair ran small. Exchanging for a different style (leather in tobacco), that I know fits well...because not sure if it's the suede ones that run small or what? I could exchange for an exact replica, but don't want to be hassled with another exchange after this second one.

I used to wear these 10 years ago so I tried them again, but after wearing them for just a few days I really wasn't impressed. I spilt a little water on my toes by accident & it actually stained the shoe under my toes. These shoes already look really worn and I started wearing them 2 weeks ago. I have a normal width foot but these are a little too wide. I do like the arch but that's about it. The cushion supposedly in this shoe is basically nonexistent. I don't recommend these shoes for women.

This shoe had too much arch support. I have flat feet, and immediately was in pain when I put the shoes on. The suede straps were also rough on the edges, so this pair of shoes is being returned.

People should be told that the soft footbed does not have the same strong arch support as regular Birkenstock's. By the time I realized this, it was too late to return them.

No way, never again! I can not see how anyone considers these sandals outstanding footwear. In fact, they are the most uncomfortable apparel I have ever put on my body. These are not for long-term wear, only very casual short-term wear such as a walk around the block, casual gardening or a short trip to the park or mall. I made the mistake of wearing these to an all day outdoor festival. I have worn sandals in this way before without much of a problem, but by the end of the day I had water blisters on my feet and the straps were severely irritating the tops of my feet. There is this horrible high arch in the center mid section of the sandal that is just very uncomfortable. My guess is this part of the sandal would be better off made a different material which is more flexible than the surrounding soul.\r\n\r\nThe positive is that they look really nice and are okay for short term use, but at this price, one would certainly expect much more comfort from the sandal and much for usability. I will be keeping the sandals for short walks and short trips to the grocery store, but I really can not recommend them at this price.

Would not purchase again - can't wear left sandal - Ordered two pairs, one for me and one for my sister. It took about two weeks to adjust to these sandals. You have to buckle the straps loosely in order for the sandals to fit properly. My right sandal fits perfect, something is wrong with the left sandal. It hurts the arch of my left foot and I can't stand wearing the left sandal. If I knew this would happen I would have sent my pair back. Since I wore these sandals outside to break them in I'm stuck with them. Wish I could have the left sandal replaced. I feel there is a manufactures problem with this left sandal. My sister had no problem with her pair, said they are very comfortable & don't hurt her arch. I also purchased two pairs of the Milano soft footbed sandals for the two of us and neither one of us had a problem with them. The left sandal does not hurt my arch so this is the pair I'm wearing----they feel great.

Arizona not up to expectations - Length and width of the footbed are appropriate. Had to punch an extra hole in each strap to get them to fit. Arch support is very high. Not a comfortable shoe, especially at the price.
