The fit was true to size and width. However, the arch support was out of place in the left shoe which made it uncomfortable to wear. The support was placed too far forward. I believe this to be the result of individual product variation and a lack of quality control. I also do not like the wide sole which makes me feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. It can also cause you to stumble if you are not used to wearing shoes with wide soles. I do not recommend this shoe.

The fit is good but quality control is lacking. The shoes appear to be well made and I have nothing against their appearance However, the arch support is inconsistent. By that I mean the left arch is too high and the right arch is a little low. I noticed this when I first put them on and should have returned them before wearing them outside. I have used North Face hiking shoes for more than a decade and have never had any complaints. I thought putting a few miles on these shoes would help to break them in and all would be well. I wore them once and put 4 miles on them. My feet felt more uncomfortable at the end then they did at the start. These shoes are the first pair I have used with wide soles which appears to be the current trend. I don't care for this design because they make my feet feel larger than they are. It makes me feel somewhat clumsy but I will probably get accustomed to them with continued use. Overall, I regret this purchase.

These shoes look good and the fit is good. However, the arch support leaves a lot to be desired. The right shoe lacks proper arch support but the left shoe has too much arch support. I tried repositioning the inserts but that didn't help at all. The first, and so far the only time, I wore these shoes, I walked about 4 miles. My right arch felt a little strained due to a lack of sufficient arch support. My left foot was sore due to too high an arch. Quality control is definitely lacking. I've been wearing North Face hiking shoes for more than a decade and have always been happy with them. Particularly the Hedgehog series. I bought this shoe for walking on pavement and they were a disappointment. I will wear them a few more times to see if they start to feel better after a break-in period.

I love north face trail runners. I've run multiple ultra's in them, but they were the Vectiv Enduris II. Those fit perfectly.
These guys run easily a half size big. They are also very cushioned to the point where I'm not sold on their stability. But they feel great to walk in!

If you're looking for a pair of shoes to roll your ankles in, then look no further! Not good for any semi-technical or hilly trails. I'll keep these for flat trails and gravel roads, nothing else.

I'm very disappointed with this pair of shoes I purchased last month. Unfortunately, after just a single 3-mile hike, the sole detached, rendering them unusable. This level of quality is far below what I expected from such a prestigious and globally recognized brand, especially considering the premium price of your products. As a loyal customer who values durability and performance in outdoor gear, this experience has been deeply unsatisfactory.

Second pair in 4 months. After 60 days my first pair tread wore out. Second pair 40 days, tread is gone in spots in center. This is only walking 3 mile average a day!
