Love the look and fit! Fun patriotic looking shoe that was a hit around 4th of July and will be great for the Olympics! I like how the tongue and side fit along with the support of the base!

Ordered these Freedom Chariots for our local Fourth of July 4K.
Knowing I was running on the backs of George Washington, Davey Crockett, Kid Rock, and John Rambo made my running effortless.
While "These Colors Don't Run" might be accurate, chasing down PRs require proper sleds...and these are those!!

I absolutely love the Ride 17. It is my go to daily trainer that I can cruise through miles in (15+ mile runs). I am also able to pick up the pace so smoothly when needed. This shoe also provides a very stable ride. My shoe of the year! The Ride 17 is also remarkably comfortable. My legs love this shoe and I always look forward to lacing them up!

Tread starts to come off sole after 150-200 miles of walking indoors or on sidewalks.

This is one of the least comfortable Ride editions. I have a narrow foot and when you tie it tightly, the bottom of the lace bunches up and pinches/pushes down on the upper toe which is extremely uncomfortable. Basically, I cant wear these shoes. Ive been using Rides for a long time now and this edition might be my last.

Seems a bit wider than previous wide models I've purchased. Ive been buying this model for years. Seems a little loose to me. The tongue is a bit short as well. The cushion seems a bit better than last years model. Still will buy this model in the future.

A very well balanced shoe! If you are just starting out, or have been running for a while, you cant go wrong with Ride 17. I would take Ride 17 any day over Brooks Ghost or Adrenaline. The foam will need about 20 miles to break in. I bought these shoes for running on the cushy treadmill and working out at Orangetheory, but often reach for them for street runs. Some online reviews say that Ride 17 and Triumph 21 are very similar. They are not. Aside from having the same foam, the running experience differs between these two. Ride 17 is a well balanced do-it-all shoe that can also push the pace, though not to the level of the Endorphin Speed. Triumph 21 is great for long runs where your gait gets tired, providing a great cushion for some heel-striking, and it is more bouncy as well. Triumph 21 can also push the pace to a similar level as Ride 17. I would not pick the Triumph 21 for running on a cushy treadmill. I prefer Ride 17 for walking. I rotate the Ride 17 with Hoka Clifton 9, essentially using both in the same scenarios, yet Ride 17 can be more easily pushed to faster paces. Highly Recommended.

The worst upgrade ever. Bulky, heavy, totally missing heel lock, even the laces are lousy. Luckily I have still two pairs of 16 which I can use until I find a replacement for Ride.

I bought them to replace the shoes I've been using to race in, but then began using them on training runs and noticed that my legs weren't as tired when I finished. Then I used them in a 5K and achieved my best time of the the year.

I purchased this shoe as soon as I saw it. I have been looking for a red, white, and blue shoe for several years now and I was glad to see it in the Ride 17 since I have enjoyed wearing the Ride in the past.

Recently purchased a pair of Stars and Stripes Ride 17s. I am 78,and due to a heart attack, I can no longer run,but these shoes allow me to walk distances up to Half Marathons. I find walking harder on my knees then running, and after completing a memorial day 10k wearing them,my knees felt great.

Love the design but wish it was available in the lower drop (4mm) Kinvara models. 8mm drops dont work for me.

The tongue is so short that it's a challenge to slip them on, to top that off it also doesn't have any link to the laces.

Love the look, feels like more cushion than the 16sjust way too wide. Feels like Im wearing clown shoes. Not sure why they tinker with the fit

I've been a Ride wearer for years now. They definitely changed up the formula with this version. They are much stiffer than the Ride 15s. Maybe they will be more durable? I hope they did not find cheaper materials/downgrade the Ride series to make people buy up/more expensive models.

Gave the Ride a try. This is my easy run road shoe. Fit is true to size. The upper is soft and has no rubbing spots. I will say that if you have a wide foot that is a great option. If you have a narrow for you will notice the extra room. The foam is stiff at first. Give it 30 miles and you will l9ve the cushioning. Responsive when you want to pick up the pace. The outsole has plenty of coverage. Don't expect amazing traction but it gets the job done. Seems like a 350-400 mile shoe durability wise.
Perfect for a daily trainer and will save your legs on a recovery day. I would put this shoe up against $180 shoes from other brands.

I have been wearing the Saucony Ride for many years. This version has one troublesome issue. The tongue is too short and is too thin at the end. When I tighten my laces they are very uncomfortable against my skin.
