I have purchased Saucony shoes for over 10 years (2-3 pairs a year). The Ride 17 sizes are NOT true to size like the editions previously. They are larger and do not fit. I had to return them. :( Sad the quality control is not regulated for the Ride 17 edition.

Very unhappy with the shoe fit, comfort/padding and weight. Ride 16 was far superior than this product.

The shoe looks amazing. However, the styrofoam sole isnt comfortable. I was expecting a plush yet supportive ride but the sole is firm and unyielding like a wooden clog.

What happened to the quality in the Ride shoes with the 17?? I have worn Saucony Ride 13 - 17 and loved them up until now. Sole inserts pealed off the shoe on the first pair, front sole is pealing back on the second pair, laces eyelit broke just tightening my laces. I would not normally have to tighten much but the midsole upper and toe box are really large compared to the Ride 16, to the point of getting creases in the upper when tightened down. I have worn Saucony shoes for many years and always been happy but too much changed on the Ride 17.

The shoes in general feel good. However the right shoe seems almost like a stability shoe, pushing my foot inwards at the heel. The left shoe is perfect. Not sure if intended or if the way the tongue wraps to that side pulls my foot in, but after about 80 miles running in the shoes, Ive been forced to move away from them due to knee and ankle pain.

Ordered my Stars and Stripes Ride 17s not long ago, they are awesome. Great fit and comfort. Awesome pattern and for a bigger guy, very supportive.

Comfort is 5 stars. However, after a couple weeks both shoes started squeaking with every single step. Contacted customer service expecting to get a replacement pair or credit, but their solution was to sprinkle corn starch in the shoes. Really??? I even asked for new insoles, but no. I had to find a third party, ordered insoles and the max credit Saucony gives is $25. Shouldve stayed with Brooks shoes

Lightweight shoe that is super comfortable. On par if not better than Brooks and New Balance.

This is my 2nd pair of Ride 17s after putting 600 miles on the first pair purchased in Feb. There seems to be some difference in fit/lock down between the two. The first pair (Tide/Silver) seemed to lock down reasonably well, but this current pair (Shadow/Pepper) seems to fit more like a size wide. One thing I noticed with both is that the thicker tongue seems to take some messing with the laces as it compresses differently while tying the shoes, was definitely not a problem with the Ride 16s.
Overall performance, though, has been very good. They seem to wear well and have a more cushion to them than the Ride 16s with the change to the PwrRun+. They seem do handle most daily training pretty well, but I do still switch out to Endorphin Speeds or Adidas Bostons for speedwork, and over to Superblasts for long runs, but I think the Rides could handle some longer runs pretty well too.

I bought this about a month ago and at first it was exactly what I was hoping for. Its light, comfortable, breathable, and supportive. However, I was disappointed on the material quality of the bottom portion of the shoe. It gets damaged pretty easily and reminds me of styrofoam. Just walking on a simple sidewalk the blue paint started tearing away. So thats why Im giving it 4 stars.

I bought a pair of these for my bday to wear during the Olympics and throughout the year. My husband immediately asked "where's mine?" I had to order him a pair as well. I have always LOVED the Ride shoe--perfectly balanced with just the right amount of cushioning (no too much and not too little---think Goldilocks). Plus we were a matched hit where ever we went ;)

These are comfortable shoes, this is my second pair. I will be looking for something different for my next pair because the shoes have proven to not be durable enough. The soles show wear very quickly due to the thin tread and soft material.

We love saucony. I bought my first pair back in 2008 and havent looked back. Me and my wife have used the rides exclusively since 2017. Usually theyre pull out of the box ready to wear but this model is a bit different. I ordered the same size I have for all of these years and these are just too long. Compared to the last model, theyre a noticeable 1/2 inch longer. The next time Ill order the next size down and try it out, but still not sure that theyll be the shoes Ive loved in the past.

I have worn Ride for years and are hands down my favorite running and casual shoe. However this new design is terrible. Honestly, this is the most comfortable shoe ever, but the tongue keeps sliding to the side, which is annoying. The worst part though is when you tighten the laces the material bunches toward the toe box. This then becomes a hard spot that causes pain to the top of my foot. I can no longer wear them. Worse design flaw.

These are my go-to shoes for everyday running. I rotate between two pairs of these and the Kinvara 15s, and the Ride 17s are so nice for any run I have planned for the day. They have some pickup whenever youd like to go fast, but they also have a great cushion system that protects you on impact without feeling like youre running in quicksand. I got these specifically for the 8mm dropreally like how Saucony is going for lower drop compared to its competitors.

I bought these about six weeks ago to replace my old shoes that were giving me bad heel pain. Im still fighting that heel (mostly because I havent taken a day off) these shoes do a great job of cushioning the heel and minimizing the pain, its almost gone. My only issue is they feel a bit heavy on longer runs. They are perfect for 5m and under.
