I started wearing Saucony footwear after my doctor recommended them after an Achilles Heel rupture. Since purchasing my first pair at a local shoe store, I've now purchased two more pair because of their comfort and style. I'm sold on the Ride 17 line of sneakers, and I am less likely to wear any of my many other shoes if I have a clear choice.

Didn't like the shoe tongue. The tongue is different from other Saucony shoes.

So far I have accumulated over 200 miles in these shoes. The upper is durable and breathable with no tears. Ran in the Texas heat and humidity and it still holding up. The lock down for me could have been better. On my right shoe, my heel kept slipping but my left side was secure. You can really feel the weight of the shoe; maybe because the midsole is very dense. The midsole took a decent amount of time to break in, at least 50 miles. I am also 190lbs with a muscular build. The midsole is by no means "plush" or "soft." It is firm with just a hint of softness. For stability, it was good but the wide base took some time to get use to. The transaction was smooth, landing on the midfoot is where the money is at. I wanted to like this shoe but the the midsole was not it. It felt like a brick on the first run. It needs to be a bit softer and lighter for my liking. I hope Saucony can tweak the next iteration.

I bought the Ride 16 and they immediately fell apart, I now have the Ride 17 and they are equally as poor made. Probably wouldn't recommend Saucony brand to anyone since they have cheap glue that doesn't hold for the tread on the bottom of the shoes. Not worth 40 dollars, and definitely not worth 140 dollars.

5 star shoe except for the shoelaces. I don't know if my shoe just showed up after the OEM laces ran out or what, but there's barely enough lace to tie these puppies--and even then I have to cinch them pretty tight to borderline uncomfortable levels. But aside from all that, I've loved Saucony Rides almost forever. Great shoe.

This is my fourth pair of Rides. Fit is perfect as there is zero break-in time, no blisters, no pain. Put them on and run. I run on some rocky road and asphalt county road and every pair has held up well. I simply purchase a new pair periodically to protect my joints, not because of any issue with the shoes. I recommend for fit, comfort and durability while running.

Overall, solid daily trainers. Have put around 50 miles on them so far, for me the upper seems to be a little loose fitting, I have to really cinch down on the laces to get a good fit on my foot.

Trainined in the Ride 17 Stars and Stripes all summer. Best place to wear these shoes? The second place step of the World Final traithlon podium in Torremolinos Spain! Thx Saucony for a great training shoe!

I returned the Ride. It rubbed my medial and lateral malleolus, the padding, to me, was not as shock absorbing as the Triumph. It is just not the shoe for me.

Comfortable but they are wearing out quickly. I have used the shoes for a month or so. The blue color is wearing off the front of the soles, so the tips of the shoes are showing white, making them look very worn too soon. Also, its not just mesh on the sides, but literal holes in the shoes. Any water, from a sprinkler or rain will get your feet soaked. The word saucony on the side is obnoxious, but at least it blends in with the color of shoe I chose.

I have ran in the Saucony Rides for the past 14 years. Through every change and modification I have stuck with them because they were always so good and reliable. Lately, I have not been crazy about their tweaks to the Ride series. The Ride 15's were perfect. 10/10 no notes. I could run in those for the rest of my life. The Ride 16's felt great, but the bottom tread started falling off after only logging 40 miles so they became yard shoes and I resorted back to using 15s. (This seemed to be a common problem with the 16s from other similar reviews) Now in comes the 17. I like the style, I like the fit, and I like the feel, but the shoe just feels cheap. I can normally go 300 miles in the Ride and they still look in great shape. 200 miles into my Ride 17s and the sides are already ripping and starting rip and fall apart. Whatever coloring they used for the Cobalt/blue started sweating into the white laces not even 40 miles in. Lastly, the grip on wet surfaces can be very slick anytime I try running faster than an 8 minute pace in the rain or on wet surfaces. I have never had that problem or any of these problems in the previous models. Saucony should go back to their 15 roots. That was an awesome shoe.

Excellent outsole design and material. Subpar upper leaves this shoe likely to be retired early from my rotation. Too much room and volume through mid-foot and forefoot is more akin to New Balance/Brooks standard. First Saucony shoe Ive worn that requires aggressive lacing which drives tremendous discomfort. Given the superb upper design on the latest Kinvara, I know this company is capable of producing a dialed in upper fit in 2024 on their training level shoes.
Might need to half-size down with this shoe for any chance at that classic Saucony fit. This shoe is testing my loyalty.

I bought the Ride 17 at a running store because they were to be neutral shoes, but after wearing them I have noticed knee and ankle pain. These shoes seem to provide some correction, throwing your foot to the inside. Unfortunately, they just dont work for me.
