I have had the Brooks Ghost 16 for 18 days. I walk 4 miles daily on concrete walking trails. The tread is wearing out fast, I recently switched to wearing the Brooks shoes to every other day to make them last a little bit.

Very disappointed in the quality of the GHOST. This pair of shoes has had minimal use, indoor only at work, pulling orders at big box retailer. As you can imagine there has not been anything other than normal wear that should have not caused the shoes to split and the stitching become visible. Over the years I have own many pairs of Brooks and never experienced any issues.

This was the first pair that I was genuinely disappointed in. Loved the color and design but too narrow compared to last version and I didn't change anything- Size or anything.

The toe box feels way bigger than all previous Ghosts. My foot moves around too much and long runs will result in blisters. I can't tighten the laces anymore without making the top of my foot sore. Same size and width as all my previous Ghosts. I love Brooks but these are a miss for me. Won't stop me from buy other styles.

I have been wearing Ghosts foa a long time, probably over 10 years. They fit my feet perfectly and are great for all of my activities. When I got the 16s, they did not fit. My big tow rubbed inside the shoe. I was very disappointed because I've love these shoes through to the 15. I still have 3 pairs of 15s I'll keep wearing as long as I can, before I have to find another shoe.

They're comfortable but they run small and I can't find my order to return them for a 10.5. So they just sit there not being worn.

This particular pair of shoes fits wide. I have purchased numerous pairs of Brooks shoes and this pair seems to be very wide.

Been ghost user for like 5 years now never disappoint, but this version they put like something hard inside next where your pinky toes is and it definitely hurts. when I reach with my fingers I can feel they added a support there that Hurst my feet I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing this. I had to stop using then and buy the older version that don't have this, Please fix

The shoes are too soft! I do not like them as well as the previous versions and I own Ghost from Version 11 - 15!

So far, so good. More cushion in the heel then the previous version I had. The fit is perfect. The main gripes are the tongue digs in the top of my foot. I don't remember that with the previous pair. The stitching seems off. A small portion of the sole already seems to be separated. Hence, the 3 stars.

These are nothing compared to the ghost 15. Fit is different and not as comfortable. If I had known 15 was getting dicontinued I would have bought several pair. Bring 15 back with more cushion on the toe box.

Since the Glycerin has changed and made my already feet hurt, I was trying to find a replacement. Apparently the same change has been made to the Ghost and my feet hurt again. Also, the Ghost does not have the support the Glycerin had because my ankles were weak the next morning from wearing them all day. I returned them and have had to go look at some where other than Brooks for my shoes. And, I hate that. The Brooks Glycerin had been my only shoe I could wear for years.

Flat insole. Soft but spongy.. no energy return. I weight 200 lbs and these are not the shoes for me.

I've been wearing nothing but Ghost for many years, but something about this particular shoe is off. I have long, very narrow feet, but Brooks, particularly the Ghost, has always fit like a glove. These are a little loose, and the fabric caves in around the sides. I'm hoping they'll get better with use, but I have the feeling I'll be sending them back.

We are a Brooks Ghost family with many years together. Unfortunately something significant changed with the 16. It feels much narrower in the toes and I can't seem to make any adjustments to laces, etc to keep this feeling away. I bought two pair at the same time and have the same experience with both. Not bad enough to return, but enough that I wish my 15's had a bunch more tread left.

Just received my Ghost 16 as I have had 4 other pairs of Ghost (10, 12, 13, 14). All other Ghost pairs I have had all ran true to size 12. The Ghost 16 size 12 seems to be a full size short versus the other four I have owned. The good thing is Brooks return process is easy and I have already printed the label. I will be ordering a larger size as I am a big Brooks fan. Damon G.

Cushion in forefoot and heel was too much. I weigh 220 lbs and walking 6 miles in these hurt my feet because they yielded to my weight too much and overworked the muscles in my forefoot.

These shoes run significantly smaller in the toe box than the three pairs of ghost 15s and the 1 pair of Ghost 13s in the same size that I just wore out. I had to return these. I wish I could locate another pair of 15s. Thank you to Brooks for the liberal return policy.

I've worn Brooks shoes for the last couple of years and have enjoyed the Ghost series. Unfortunately, the Ghost 16 is unique in giving me pain above my heels--pain I've never experienced in other Brooks shoes. After wearing these for a week, I have broken skin above each heel and had to shorten my most recent run because of pain. Other reviewers have mentioned the shoe's lower back and the rigid support in that area rubbing up against the back of the ankle. My experience matches what those reviewers have described. I believe these are design flaws that make the Ghost 16 inferior. I've never had an uncomfortable first week in a Brooks shoe until now and sadly cannot recommend the Ghost 16.

The ghost 16 is just ok. I have several pairs, but I'm just not as happy as passed models. I may have to change to a different brooks shoe.

The Ghost 16 is not a step forward from my perspective. In fact they don't feel like the same shoes as previous iterations. What's different?
1. The heel is squishy-soft, which some may like, but it feels to me like walking in mud. Squishy-soft seems to be what shoe manufacturers are chasing currently, and I think it's a big mistake.
2. The drop feels higher than previously, and I almost feel I'm in high heels. I understand it will be less on the 17.
3. The wide toe box of previous Ghosts, beloved to those of us with little-toe problems, is narrower; my little toe started to throb again after wearing the 16s.
I don't understand: why mess with a good--no, a great--thing, which is what previous Ghosts were. When the 17s are out, I'll eagerly try them, but if it's the same deal as 16, I may be searching for my new daily shoes. In the meantime, I've found a new pair of 15s online, in my favorite camaflouge mid-sole, and I'm hunting for more so I can stock up.

I’ve owned many pairs of Brooks Ghost models over the years without any issues. The Ghost 16s felt fine at first, but after a few hours during the day, I started experiencing pain on the outside of my midfoot—something I’ve never had with previous versions.

Brooks is the only running shoe I've purchased over the last ten years. I usually purchase the Adrenaline GTS, but occasionally I'll purchase another type for various reasons. I recently purchased the Ghost, size 10.5, which is the my normal size. However, the Ghost is extremely small for a standard 10.5 shoe. My toes are touching the end of the shoe, so I'm concerned about how it will impact my stride. I'll never run in these but will use them instead for around town shoes, assuming they will break-in over time. The shoe seems well built, but I'm very disappointed with the inconsistent sizing between product lines.
