The fit on the ghost 16 is much different than the 15 (ghost 15 was the best running shoe I've owned). The toe box seems more narrow and the shoe is cushioned in awkward places for my foot. Customer service was helpful is recommending the glycerin 21 which I find much more comfortable and similar to the ghost 15.

ive been running in brooks ghost for 9 years. probably have had every model 3 times. this pair (white with orange/ 16's) started squeaking after a few runs. never had them in rain or water. annoying with friends, not a big deal when i am solo. my feet feel more fatigue after runs (4-5mile runs) in this pair than in past ghost models. not sure what that is about, probably have 145 miles on these now.

This is still a very comfortable shoe with great support. However, I'm disappointed in the 16. The 15 was a great version all the way around. I wear a wide shoe and the Ghost 15 and the 13 before that were perfect fits. Brooks didn't quite get it all right with the 16. The fit is tighter with the same size and width and not nearly as comfortable as the previous versions. Also, my pair came with one shoe lace being about 6 inches shorter than the other. I've been a Brooks Ghost and Cascadia fan for several years without even trying other brands. Next time I'll have to try others and Brooks will have to work harder to bring me back.

The fit isn't as good as the previous ghosts. Ive been running with these for the past few months and something just feels a little off. The cushion is pretty good, and I like everything else.

The Ghost shoe has been my daily trainer for almost two years now. Unfortunately, the Ghost 16 seems to fit significantly worse than the previous model, in my experience. One shoe has been repeatedly wearing a blister in the exact same spot, no matter what - an issue I never had wearing the same size in the Ghost 15. On the bright side, the quality of the shoe in terms of cushion and tread seems comparable to the previous generation after about 200 miles of wear. Overall, I'm disappointed about the changes in this model and am seriously considering shopping elsewhere.

Meh. I have been looking for their softest strike shoe because I have an achilles issue from a childhood break. These are not as soft as I'd hoped, so if they're the softest, I may need to start looking for a new brand. Lastly, I'm a 12 mile a week treadmill runner, so every pair of Brooks I've ever had have worn out after 6 months. I think their competitive advantage is that Nike, New Balance, Skechers, etc. are just junk start to finish.

The shoe is a little bit narrow. I also feel like my foot hits the ground a little bit hard. I don't know if *** would be my final rating, but I'm still getting used to the shoes.

Love the comfort and support especially on longer runs. I've had these for approx 1.5 months and the top of the toe has already ripped. Never had this problem before so disappointing.

Not very comfortable, difficult to put on. My "15" model was a better made shoe.

Having been a fan of the Ghost series, I was eager to try out the new Ghost 16 after my delightful experience with the Ghost 15. Last year, I purchased a pair of Ghost 15 with Mid width and size 10.5, which fit perfectly and provided exceptional comfort during my runs. Naturally, I chose the same specifications for the Ghost 16, expecting a similar experience. To my surprise, the Ghost 16 felt noticeably narrower than its predecessor. Despite ordering the same Mid width and size 10.5, the fit seemed off. I only wore the new pair twice while running on a treadmill, and unfortunately, this resulted in a blister on the bottom of my right foot. While it is uncertain if there has been a significant change in the design of the Ghost series, my experience with the Ghost 16 has been somewhat disappointing compared to the Ghost 15. The narrower fit has impacted the overall comfort, which was one of the key highlights of the previous model. In summary, those who loved the fit of the Ghost 15 might need to consider trying on the Ghost 16 before purchasing, as there seems to be a difference in fit that could affect comfort during runs.

they are ok but switching to ASICS GEL-Kayano 31 becouse the Asics are more supportive and the Asics cushioning puts the Brooks to shame

I've been a Brooks Ghost consumer for generations. These (US14M) fit bigger and wider in the toe box than previous generations. Will be returning.

Brooks has decreased the width on their soles. The make the upper wider to fit a 4E, but the sole does not get wide enough. My foot hangs over the sole. I have Brooks shoes from pre-2020 that fit great. I have given them so many chances since. I am done wasting my time with this company.

The fit is different than previous versions, I've been wearing ghosts for over ten years and may need to switch. Getting blisters on the insole which has never happened- the only change in gear is shoes.

The fit is different than recent ghost models. They're not as soft, and the soles and uppers feel more rigid. The first few runs hurt my feet and ankles. I didn't expect I would need to resize for the new model. I usually get 4E, I'm going to try 2E or the Max for my next set.

I had the 15s and absolutely loved them. Initially I liked the 16s. The first time I put them on I noticed they fit very different from the 15s. I ordered the same sizing as I had in the 15s (10.5, regular width) but I immediately noticed they felt more snug. I noticed something felt a little off while walking around in them but I figured it was just because they were new. I wore them around for a few days to try to break them in and then I decided to go run. I ran 2 miles and had to stop because my feet started killing me. I woke up the next morning and could hardly walk. I've been nursing some peroneal tendinitis in both feet for weeks and I've NEVER had issues with this. I like the way they look and they're very light shoes. I'd say probably go try them on somewhere before ordering them to make sure you get the right size.

This is the third set of Brook’s Ghost I’ve ordered in 4 years. I’ve ordered the same style because they fit so well. Not this edition. The width (EE) is very different in the 16s such that it’s painful to wear them for an extended period. Unfortunately it took a long walk to figure that out and now I can’t return them in original condition as required. Back to retail shopping for athletic shoes for me.

I am disappointed in this shoe. The first pair was returned as it was too small. Ordered a half size larger and they fit the same. They will go back as well.

The previous versions of this shoe were amazing this one pinches and rides too high in the back causing blisters.

The ghost 13,14,15 were comfortable right out of the box. These not so much. I've only put about 30 miles on them but they are not near as comfortable as the 15. Too early to tell about how they wear. On a good note They finally changed the shoe string. The 14s and 15s had terrible shoe string.

The overall fir was stiffer and I did not like the larger vent holes as they were more visible and made the shoe look , for lack of a better word, cheap. The arch is different as well. I supinate and with my Ghost 15 and a special insert there was no issues. With these Ghost 16's and the same insert, there was definitely less ankle and heal support. Personally I prefer the Ghost 15 and since they are no longer available, I may have to look else where other than the website.

I bought a pair of Ghost 16’s after wearing the Ghost 14’s and Ghost 15’s which I liked because I like a bit of firmness. I work in a local hospital Emergency Room and I am a fast walker and tend to be hard on shoes. I bought a pair of the Ghost 16’s and was disappointed because they seemed to be softer and a bit of a slower shoe because of that. I usually put in around 10+ miles in a 12 hour shift and in a month’s time, the shoes felt like they were already beaten down and seemed to lack durability in comparison to the Ghost 14’s and 15’s.
