I feel that the quality of material has changed to cheaper than what Hoka use to be. Very rigid and not soft and comfy, like before!

I have 3 pairs of Hoka Speedgoat 5 that had comfortable fit right out of the box. This Speedgoat 6 model is a disappointment. The shoes are stiff and the toe box is tight. I have worn them once on a day out with friends shopping and lunching. The shoes pinched my feet and I could not wait to remove them. I have always ordered size 10 from Hoka, and that has been a perfect size for me. These shoes are also size 10, but would be better suited to someone who wears 9.5, if they can deal with the stiffness and lack of cushioning. So sorry, Hoka.

We need to go back to the 4's or the 5's. The 6's do not even co pare to previous generations, especially when it comes to the 6 in a Mid GTX. There is zero ankle support in this version of the Speedgoat Mid, which is essentially the whole reason you'd look for a mid. This not the shoe for that. Absolute downgrade. I hate to be leaving a review this negative because it's been my exclusive running shoe for years, have loved and recommended them over and over again. Disappointing.

i am a trail runner in CO - loved these shoes but this pair are different and have caused foot problems. The front toe box is way too wide. I am in search of a replacement now.

The revamped Speedgoat 6 now does not fit orthotics like the previous models did. Am returning because I need to insert orthotics so now, need to find a different shoe. Too bad because the Speedgoat 5 was perfect.

You added too much height to this shoe for trail running. I badly sprained my ankle trying to run trails with this shoe. Please bring back the Speedgoat 5!

Whoever designed this shoe needs to be retrained and assigned to a different part of the company.. Depressing version of the shoe. I don't understand who made the design choices and upgrades that don't feel like upgrades performance wise but this was a massive step backwards. Designs all look the same and are awful and there is basically nothing available for people with wide feet. Can we get more options for designs for wide feet? People with wide feet don't deserve waterproof shoes?

I have ran in every iteration of the Speedgoat (including the EVO which was my favorite shoe of all time). The new SG6 are incredibly stiff and unforgiving. I have never felt this destroyed after wearing a pair of new shoes. I get it, some people like that feeling, but what is Hoka known for? Cloudy comfort, all day long. These are absolutely the opposite. Buyer beware!

Bought a pair to replace my last pair of Speedgoat 5 which did not last for 3 months of city walks and HOKA refused to stand by their product even though it was still in the warranty period (a different story). I tried this pair for a planned 3-miles-walk but couldn't finish the walk because my foot hurt so bad. I owned 6 pair of HOKA within last 2.5 years. No more.

I would buy a new pair of Hoka's, but the colors suck this year. Everything is white grey or black. What happened to the colorful shoes you used to sell? The news designs are plain or ugly. Do better Hoka designers.

I purchased these for trail use and can't wear them. They hurt the top of my foot too much. Have always worn size 10 woman's regular width (including several shoes from this site). The pain is too much and these shoes just sit in my house now unworn. I worried to purchase anymore shoes for fear they won't work.

I really liked the previous version of this Speedgoat. I'm an avid trail runner and put 100's of miles on them. This updated version has the most bizarre non-existent tongue. It's so short that the laces go past the minimal padded part. Extremely uncomfortable. Seems like such a rookie error for a brand that at one time led the pack for true trail runners. Fortunately there are some fantastic alternatives out there.

Hi. I have only worn these shoes like four times and they are hurting my feet. The sides of my toes and my sole.

The Speedgoat 6s are not a durable shoe. My pair had less than 100 miles on them before the sole cracked apart. I am highly disappointed given I've been a long time Hoka user and loved previous models. However the materials and manufacturing process for the speedgoat 6s don't hold up to trail use.

I have worn speedgoats for going on 4+ years now and never had any problems. I tried these 6s for one run and had AWFUL pain on the tops of my feet. I'm going to wear my old 5s and hopefully the next edition will be better

I have been a Hoka fan for years, but unfortunately someone at Hoka has redesigned their shoe tongues so thin and SO short that I cannot grab them anymore with my arthritic thumbs. It's truly a shame because I have loved hiking in Colorado in my speedgoats.

I purchased the speedgoat 6's just over a month ago and they are coming apart on the tongue already. The stitching has come undone and the tongue just kind of flaps. I only wear them 2-3 days a week when I work 12 hour shifts as an RN, so it isn't like they have had excessive wear. Very disappointed in the quality.

So disappointed. The 6's are just like everyone is saying: tight, stiff, plasticy, and painful. This is no upgrade. I've purchased six pairs of speedgoats from 3-6. I don't care that they wear out quickly and get holes-- the shoe has been worth it to me. Up until this point I was okay going through a pair every 3-4 months. I returned these after one short hike.

I bought these shoes and they didn't last 8 months. The tops of both shoes got rips and holes. It was just normal wear. The warranty didn't cover my issue. For the price, I would expect them to last longer. I won't be buying Hokas again.

I bought these SpeedGoats 6, thinking that they were like the previous SpeedGoats. I have had Speed Goats for years and loved the old Speed Goats. I bought the SpeedGoat 6, last November, and just tried them on, thinking that they'd be ready to wear. (Sadly, I tend to buy Hokas and then put them away until my old ones wear out. I have worn Hokas, the same exact size for years) OMG the mid-foot and toe box are SO Narrow. My foot was aching, severe pain, I could not wear them. Could not even take one step in the new Speed Goat 6. I am asking now, for a refund, and I am very hopeful Hoka will give me the refund! So sad, the old HOKAs are amazing, but the new ones, the mid and the toe box way too narrow.

The difference between the speedgoat 5 & speedgoat 6 is night and day. I don't know what changed with the 6's but they hurt my feet badly! I used them in 2 5k races and my feet were so sore before I was done with the race. I thought maybe something was wrong with my feet but I purchased another brand of shoes and that wasn't the case. It's the shoes. I purchased 2 pairs of speedgoat 6 shoes. Unfortunately I am too late for the return policy. One pair hasn't been worn at all.

Less than a year old, the shoes are fraying and have holes - the return department is telling me this is 'normal wear and tear' and will not replace or refund my money
