I ordered size 13 2xwide. I hiked 650 miles across Europe up and down hills and mountains, on all kinds of terrain from mud, rocks, grass, asphalt, sandy beaches, etc. Never had any discomfort or pain, not even a single blister. I still wear them today and they feel great. Glad I bought these for my trip. Money well spent.

Thanks to the Customer Service team. I ordered a size 9 wide, received them in very good time. Probably for me, a little small. So, I asked for an exchange for 9.5 Wide, and those fit like a glove, a received them in no time. Thanks again..

I logged 500mi in a single pair of SP5, and I was ready to love the 6th but upper tore after 35mi of moderate trails...not happy.

I like the shoes - light, stiff and good traction. I actually wear them MTN biking but the fabric in the uppers on both shoes is coming apart after very little use.

This review is for golfers who prefer walking 18 holes; if you are a runner, feel free to skip it. I love these shoes and now that I have the correct size, they are so comfortable. I golf 6 days a week, sometimes 7, and I play in the early mornings when there is dew on the grass. Most times I'm out there with the first tee time teeing off, and the grass is wet, and I have other golf shoes that wouldn't make it past the first tee box to the fairway without my socks getting wet. By the time I get to the 18th hole, well, I'm used to it by then, but my socks and shoes are soaked. Well, I got the pair delivered yesterday, and I played in them this morning. For a minute, I thought my socks were going to get wet, but they didn't. My feet were so comfortable and dry throughout the whole round. My feet didn't hurt at the end of the round, and I felt like I was walking on a cloud, and I even played better than normal. This review is tailored for golfers who prefer walking 18 holes; runners can feel free to skip it. I love these shoes! Now that I have the correct size, they are incredibly comfortable. I golf six days a week, sometimes seven, often during the early mornings when there is dew on the grass. I've used other golf shoes that wouldn't make it past the first tee box without soaking my socks. By the time I reach the 18th hole, my socks and shoes are usually drenched. However, I received this new pair yesterday and wore them for a round this morning. For a moment, I thought my socks might get wet, but they didn't at all! My feet stayed completely dry and comfortable throughout the entire round. They didn't hurt at all by the end, and it felt like I was walking on a cloud. Plus, I even played better than usual! I would recommend ordering one size bigger than your standard shoe size, as they tend to run smalljust my personal opinion.

I beat the crap out of these shoes and they're wonderful. I have a wider foot and they fit nicely. The padding is great, the tread is great for hiking. I hardly use my hiking boots at all anymore. I've gotten them wet, muddy, dusty and they hold up really well.

Vibram sole delaminates from the foam sole. One pair after 25 miles, second pair was at places delaminated (not glued) right out of the box.

I only use the speedgoat for golfing I love the shoe. I have serverel pairs of Hokas the last pair of speedgoats I bought the tread came apart I sent in a concern and haven't received anything back yet. Very disappointing considering the price that you pay for the shoes. I only wore them for golfing nothing else.

Didn't see the half-moon chunk taken out of the tongue. Could not grip to force my right foot into the shoe with my splint. I wear a splint to assist with walking with foot drop. Didn't even attempt the left foot.

The SG5 had some of the coolest colorways and past Goats have been cool as well. But it's as if the designers went out of their way to make the ugliest combinations with this "confetti" or "camo" pattern? I showed different options to my daughter asking her to help me pick the least ugly and after she made her choice, she said that the others all looked like different kinds of "baby poop" or "puke". Yeah they get dirty, yeah it ultimately doesn't matter a whole lot, but if I'm spending $150, I don't want to look down and see baby poop on my feet.

I purchased my SpeedGoat 6 to use as a golf shoe. I walk 45 holes almost every week. I have Hoka Clifton that I run in. My son-in-law purchased a pair for the Speedgoat 50K. When I saw them I thought they might work great for golf. I was right. I love them on the course.

Has great traction and durability but the forefoot is still a little narrow. The upper is made out of a stretchy material so there is some give. Compared to the Clifton the toe box feels shallow and less room to splay.

I give these a 2/5, I bought these primarily to hike in. Previously had the SG4 and loved them for hiking, I recall they had a somewhat bouncy midsole. Saw they had a firmer midsole from the V5 and felt might not be a big deal for hiking. Wrong. Took them on a 3 mile run and they were ok, pretty boring/flat. Took them on a ~9 mile hike in the Whites (NH). The lack of cushion took the joy out of hiking. They did fine on a long scramble up a slide. The Outsoles were good, they fit fine. I'm looking for comfort with some decent traction. If you're gonna get a big midsole shoe, one would expect it to have somewhat decent cushion with some give. It's good for technical stuff and stick to rocks well enough, but if I was just doing technical stuff I'd probably just use approach shoes (or technical trail shoe). Weight saving is great obviously, but these aren't really the primo ultra shoes of yesteryear. These should be an all around offering (one quiver) with an enhanced technical capability.

I own 6 pairs of Hoka shoes (Clifton 9, Challenger 7 and Bondi 8s. All are 13EE and they fit great. The Speedgoat 6 (same size) was actually painfully tight. I can't wear them. They look cool and seem well made, but unfortunately are useless to me.

Vibram sole delaminating from foam sole. I would add pictures, if I could. Terrible quality. Hoka wants you to ship it back for warranty evaluation (1 week) and then evaluation (3 weeks). Does it sound reasonable to be without running shoes in the middle of a season for one month? Maybe Hoka wants runners to buy another pair while you wait for denial because the shoes are designed for smooth trails without rocks.

First, I purchased the Speedgoat6 shoes as Base/field shoes because I umpire baseball games. They provide very good grip (cleatage?) on the field. I did this because my traditional base shoes didn't and they cost me a severe hamstring pull. Also, the cloth uppers provided for less overheating on a very hot Summer afternoon. My mistake was not spending the few extra bucks to get the GTX. For some reason (climate change?) we just got a number of rainy days. My feet got wet in the long, wet grass. Spend the extra few bucks. Other than that, the Speedgoats fit fine, provide the grip that I need and I love them. Recommend to a friend/colleague? Would and have.

I'm an ICU RN, big guy (350lb.). I've worn New Balance for the past 18 years but in the last year, their shoes are too spongy, offering little to no support in the heel. I bought these due to popular demand. I can see why!!! Soft impact to the heel while providing firm support side to side. This particular shoe does not feel like a platform shoe with a massive foam heel. I'm 10 hours into my 12 hour shift and I have ZERO plantar fasciitis pain, my knees feel fine, and I don't feel worn out like I have with my NB. My new favorite shoe!!!

Great trail running/hiking shoes. Excellent traction on trail, plenty of cushion on rocks & roots. Highly recommend!
