I bought these Hoka Arahis 6 in mid November of 2023 for my wife who's a nurse and on her feet a lot. They were uncomfortable at first until they were properly broke in. Inside wear along the sides of the shoe were visible within 3 months. Within 5 months the outside of the shoes were deteriorating. This was not the quality I was assured when I bought them. Other shoes I have purchased lasted a lot longer than these. Very disappointed with this purchase since the quality did not match the price.

Got these in hopes of wearing them to a convention where I'm on my feet 10 hours a day and the second I tried them on I felt miserable. So uncomfortable and stiff. I'll need to get insoles with them. Very disappointed considering the price.

Very disappointed in my Hoka 7s. I've been a HOKA loyalist for years and years, long before HOKA was popular. Sad to say my long happy relationship with my fav running shoes is over. The Hoka 7 felt flat from the start, and more narrow than other models. I started having pain in my feet shortly after wearing them on few runs, and now I find myself with Plantar Fasciitis for the first time in my 48 years. I called customer service to let them know and see if I could get a discount on another pair for overpronation and they basically told me "too bad." I'm so disappointed, I love the previous HOKAS so much!

I have been wearing Arahi's since 2020 (Arahi 4 and 5's) and I got these to replace my 5's. The negative reviews are true, they are NOT THE SAME! I have a wide foot and over pronate significantly so have always loved the stability of the Arahi's. But even buying D width, they are so much more narrow than previous iterations. I have no idea why they would change something so fundamental to this shoe, but I am crushed. I've walked in nothing else but these for many years. And they literally are so narrow my feet ached just having them on and not walking. I'm actually crushed. Why why why.

I have a narrow/regular foot and these sneakers are far too narrow. Within two hours of wear, I take them off and the side of my foot is red and inflamed. Toe splay is important and I hope Hola takes this into consideration moving forward.

I love Ahari 6's. When I couldn't find that model, I tried the upgraded Ahari 7's. The 7's are a little longer and yet more snug. Also, the top fabric is more stiff, and actually hurt my feet where the shoe creased. Bring back the Ahari 6's! Sometimes progress is not better:

Hoka, why adjusted your shoes to narrow? Even your Wide shoes are narrow now (and I have regular sized feet). For over 15years, I have been a loyal Hoka fan. I supported Hoka One when the shoes were in its beginning stages hence shaped like a boat, super unattractive. I was your unofficial ambassador to my teen children (now adults), other family members plus to all my runner and healthcare friends. I am writing this review to alert you that I and multiple of my colleagues have been looking elsewhere for shoes that have comfortable, spacious fit like FORMER Hoka.

I'm an Arahi ride or die from my first introduction to the not so glamorous Arahi 3s and every version since those have been less cushy, but these take the cake for discomfort. I have a wide foot and they pinch and gave me blisters. Now I'm searching all over to get some 6s

I have been a Hoka Arahi wearer for many years and have had probably close to 10 pairs. (i go through 2-3 pairs a year). This Arahi 7 upgrade is not a good one. I feel the shoe has no cushion, is overall larger in size and the tox box is really wide. I am so disappointed because I love Hoka Arahi and now I need to fine a new favorite to run in. Why change something that is not broken HOKA??

I got these shoes and I liked them at first because the design was cute, and they were recommended to me because I have low arched feet. However, the arch support in these is so uncomfortable that my arches hurt like crazy, and the toe box is so tight so I sized up from my usual 8 to a 9 to help with that, but then they're too long and my foot slipped out the back constantly. I also wore these for a lot of walks and runs trying to just get used to the shoes for a couple weeks, but now I have shin splints and I'm considering whether or not this shoe might have played a role in that due to the stress and tightness it put on my feet, and also the poor fit of the shoe from that tight toe box as well. Returned and ordering Clifton's because I've heard better things about those but wanted to give Arahi a shot first since I have low arches, but these shoes are not worth it! Don't buy unless you want a tight shoe that squeezes the life out of your aches and toes

I've exclusively worn HOKA Arahi for the past 4 years at the recommendation of my podiatrist. I overpronate, have flat feet, and have accessory navicular syndrome so needless to say, most shoes cause me foot pain. The Arahi is the only shoe that I can comfortably wear for a prolonged period without experiencing pain, and I've been a HOKA evangelist ever since.
Since I wear them daily, I usually order a new pair every 6 months. I recently ordered the Arahi 7 to replace my worn out Arahi 6's, and not only are they a completely different shoe - but they caused me a ton of pain!
Some of the notable changes:
-the footbed is so much narrower
-the tongue is padded and attached to the toe bed, making them feel really tight
-the shoe sits lower on the heel which causes friction around the ankle
-they changed the material of the upper; it's much less breathable / gets hot easily / feels tighter
-there's a big Arahi 7 logo on the back (NBD for a running shoe, but ugly for a daily shoe)
After my initial try on and a lot of skepticism, and after reading a lot of negative reviews on HOKA's website -- I saw their official response which basically says: "you just need to break them in, and all the new features will make sense". So I decided to try to give them an chance today and wear them out while running errands.
Long story short: I'm currently icing/elevating my feet because they're so swollen/painful from the new shoes. Normally when I put on a new pair of HOKAs, I feel instant relief. Instead, today I felt instant discomfort.
I'm so disappointed in HOKA...and I guess now I'm in the hunt for a new daily shoe :(

I am an ardent lover of the Hoka Arahi's. I have high arch and ever since a miniscus tear, Hoka Arahi's were the only shoes that felt comfortable for my feet. The new Arahi's on the other hand are a DISASTER. With each wear, they feel heavier and heavier. I cannot emphasize how heavy they feel to my feet bow. My feet constantly aches now and there is a point where my arch hurts. What a loss to all those who used to love and rely on Arahis.
I have been trying to find Arahi 6 in the market, if there are any stocks of these shoes that you could please bring back, would be grateful.
Thanks

Love the colors and style of this shoe but the fit is so much different than the Arahi 6. They are so hard and stiff! I am sticking with the Bondi!

I have been wearing Arahi for 5 years and loved all previous models. Have in many colors. Bought arahi 7 and hate them. They are tight (I have regular normal feet, never have issues) and uncomfortable. took them on a trip and wore while traveling, and could not wait to get home and get them off my feet I was so miserable. Now, I have a pair of shoes I hate to wear, but even more, I am mourning arahi and fear I may never have the perfect sneaker again.

I’ve had these shoes for ~6 weeks and they are already showing significant wear and part of the tread has broken off. I expect much better quality and durability for the price. They were great when they were right out of the box but I will not be buying again.

I bought 3 pairs of the same Hoka shoe, the one I always buy, and only 2 of the pairs fit properly - the third pair in white did not fit for some strange reason, so I returned it.

My feet hurt SO MUCH. I was hoping I could break them in but one week later, nope. I never had to "break in" my Arahi 6's, they felt like clouds right off the bat and have kept my plantar fasciitis at bay. Unfortunately, my plantar fasciitis has come back full force, and I'm not sure I can even return them since I've worn them. I am so disappointed! I fell in love with the Arahi 6's last year and have been able to avoid aggravating my plantar fasciitis until now. There goes 156 bucks down the drain. I am so sad because I finally found the shoes that don't hurt my feet and now they're gone. :'( The 7's are super stiff and the toe box feels completely different.

Please bring back the old model Arahis with the wider toe box. It seems like they changed their insoles for these? they are so hard and not comfortable at all. Why are they so stiff? Had the older model Arahis and loved them but these do not feel like Hokas :( Please correct this with the next model!

It's always disappointing when a beloved product is "upgraded" for the worse. I've loved the Clifton 9's for distance running and Arahi 6 for faster runs. Unfortunately these Arahi 7's fit tight (even in wide width) and the upper mesh is inflexible leaving my feet feeling cramped with no room to breathe. The outersole also feels hard and inflexible. Maybe they need to be broken in? Usually Hokas are comfortable for me right out of the box, so I'm doubtful. Please put 6's back on the market!!
