The fit on this sneaker (Arahi 7) is NOT comparable to the Arahi 6 fit. I bought 2 pairs of the Arahi 6 over the past 3 years and LOVED them. This sneaker is supposed to be similar to its predecessor, but unfortunately that is not the case. I had to buy thinner socks just so my feet didn't feel pinched. Would not recommend.

I've been buying arahi hokas for years but have to say it stops at the 7's. The body is made out of different material and fits way too big. I returned and upgraded to the Bondis and totally love them.

Purchased shoe for its stability and also loved the color, too. The upper portion of the shoe fit fine, but the bottom portion/sole was uncomfortable. Initially, I just thought it was the newness of the shoe, but it continued to be a problem.

I am looking to replace my much loved Gaviota 4s for walking 5-7 miles/day, have narrowish feet and plantar fasciitis. The Gaviota 5s are too wide. I found the Arahi 7's to be too short in length for one foot, which has never happened to me w any other 9.5s from Hoka or other running shoe brands. I wear a 9 or 9.5 in sandals and boots. While I liked the narrowness of the Arahi 7's, I found them to be uncomfortably firm especially in the heels. They do feel light weight, so at least there's that. I have to return these though and will continue to look for a replacement for my beloved Gaviota 4s.

The fit is different from all the other Hokas I have purchased. The right shoe pinches on the insert de after wearing for awhile.

Only worn once and were very uncomfortable. I have two pair of the 6 that I love. If these don't get any more comfortable I won't be buying Hoka any longer.

Always worn Gaviota, but the store I went to didn't have them. They talked me into an Arahi 7. In two miles of walking, heel pain started and I had to get them off. The new Gaviota has such bad reviews from former wearers, because they've changed it, I don't know what to do!!

I always wear On Running but I thought I would try Hoka. They were very tight, I ordered a size 6. I'm not sure if I should return or order a half size bigger? They seem narrow. I like the look of the shoe. I'm a teacher and on my feet all day.

I'm going to return the Arahi 7. I didn't feel they were as supportive as the Clinton 9 or Bondi 7. I'm actually going to step back from Hoka's. You are creating style after style and I'm obsessed with finding the right pair with little direction as far as what pair is really the best for a daily 4 mile walker at a quick pace. With all the different styles you've introduced, there hasn't been a match or better to the Bondi 7.

I fell in love with my first pair of Arahi 6! I should have bought many more of them while I could. I bought the Arahi 7 and they do not feel anything like the 6. I've never had a "wide" foot, but the vast difference in how much narrower the Arahi 7 is compared to the Arahi 6 was enough to sway me to return. I wanted to love the the 7, but they were returned.

I have always liked the support of the Arahis. I need it because I have a tendency to roll in. However, I also like running in plush comfortable shoes and I used to be able to find that in Arahis but now? No cushion at all. A few of the updates in the 7 are nice - I like the upper and I do feel like it slides around less in the midfoot. The problem is that there is NO CUSHION compared to older models. It is not comfortable to run in because I feel every single bit of impact. I put on one 7 and one 5 that I have been running in for years. The old, broken down, worn-in shoe had significantly more cushion left, and that's not a good sign. Bring back the comfort and cushion of the old models! Stability shoes should still be comfy!

I sell shoes at an outdoor recreation store. I wear the Arahi 6s (sometimes the Gaveotia 5s) because I stand on concrete all day (I also overpronate-- that is to say, my feet tend to slump inwards). As I understand, the main thing that changed in the Arahi 7s is the upper, which switched from an engineered mesh in the 6s to a flat-knit in the 7s. The flat-knit feels hotter. I can just tell they don't breathe as well. The fabric also seems stiffer. Where the toe box bends as I go up on the balls on my foot there is this "popping" feeling as the ridged materials snap back and forth. It's slight, but it's there. I assume this is the new flat-knit material at work.
As for the width issue, many people have mentioned the Arahi 7 feels narrower than the 6. I can only assume this shrink in width is due to a combination of the flat-knit upper being less flexible and the new plush tongue taking up more volume in the shoe, because to my knowledge nothing else about the Arahi 7 has changed. As someone who fluctuates between standard and wide fits, the 7s lean too much towards the narrow side for me to be able to wear it.
While I appreciate HOKA's attempt to innovate and improve upon the Arahi series, I am puzzled by such a drastic change, particularly in the narrowing fit and the shoe's heat retention. These changes seem unlikely to resonate with a broad range of users.

I have had multiple pairs of HOKAs but when they first came out. Since then, I’ve tried a few different pairs , but they have too much cushion on the bottom and it causes me to trip because I have an abnormal gait due to CP. I wanted to give these a try because I have a similar pair of shoes that have just as much stack height. These were super narrow and felt a half smaller than my usual size. Definitely a firm feeling shoe not very much cushion at all.

I love Hoka's and was excited when the new Arahi 7 came out. That very day I was online ordering myself another pair. Happy to find a 'neutral color choice' ... called 'Vanilla Cream'. I ordered and the moment I opened the box I thought there had been a mistake, they were not cream colored, nor were they 'vanilla', not white, not what I thought I was getting. The best way for me to describe the color is a very washed out, pale peach. Some peeps may like the color, but for me, nah!! I wanted a neutral cream color. So keep that in mind when you order them. Other than this color being 'off' ... I love the way Hoka's fit!

Oh, I am disappointed. Love the Arahi 6 but this one is stiff, hard, and uncomfortable. Plus, I thought it would be a cream/vanilla color but it is peach. Will return and try to find the old model.

I love Hoka's shoes for exactly what they are about, the cushioning! I probably have at least 5 pairs of the Arahi 6 which I love. I always had to order a 1/2 size up in the Arahi vs. the other styles so I did the same with these but that was not enough. I agree with most of the other reviews, I did not find the fit comfortable on these and they are too hard for me as well. They run narrower all over and tighter in the toe box. I have learned that my shoes need to be comfortable straight out of the box so these are going back. They may stretch slightly but with the hardness I am not willing to chance it. I do like the look though. When I say I love Hoka's , I do, to the tune of about 45+ pairs. I hope this is not the path going forward, I will be so sad!

I have been wearing Arahi brand for years, with each new iteration. This is the first time I have had problems with the width and the toe box. I have hallux rigidus and Arahi has been a lifesaver for me. This time, my toe hurt instantly.

Hoka Arahi 7 are the worst running shoes I've ever worn. The "Arahi 6" and everything before were great. Same size in Arahi 7 and I'm getting foot injuries (corroborated by my podiatrist). I'm not sure why they decided to re-invent the wheel, but avoid the 7 at ALL COST.

Received these shoes as a gift and wore them to walk every morning in the treadmill, started wearing through in the heel- large chunks of foam wore clear through. Was pleased that they stood behind their guarantee and they replaced them due to "manufacture flaw". New pair did the same thing but in half the time! I asked them if this was a design flaw that other people had experienced and they suddenly said that it had to be MY FEET (even though in my 55 years I've never had this problem with ANY other brand of shoe) and there suddenly was NO manufacture flaw and I was told there was nothing further they could do so much for customer service! I will no longer purchase from a company that blames the customer and won't stand behind their products.

I have a pair of slip on sketchers that offer better support. Hoka was good to replace due to sizing issue, I had to pay more for an upper scale shoe. But then again my Sketchers offer a better fit. I have walked close to a hundred miles in the Hokas. I feel I gave them a great chance. Plus they do not wash well.

Had to return them. All Hoka shoes are not made equal. Have to try each shoe on even when it is the same name I use Arahi 7 and last time bought from a store but tried on one color bought another color but when I got home they did not feel the same wheat back. This time thought I would change ordering. Nope do not feel right. Sent back.

The left shoe is longer than the right, causing the heal to ride up - very annoying.
