I had to buy these shoes, because Hoka ruined the design of the Gaviota style. I have worn at least 100 pair of the Gaviota Style from style #1- almost every day since the #1"s came out. I changed them out once a month. The new Gaviota Style is a disaster. They look, and feel, like clown shoes. They widened the toe to make every shoe a wide shoe - even if you do not want wide shoes. They are a trip hazard. They ruined the design of the perfect shoe. It is worse than New Coke. I bought the Arahi 7 as a substitute, and they have ruined all of my socks. They are not as comfortable as the previous Gaviota Style, and they ruin your socks. All of my socks have turned black and purple. So, if you need stability shoes, that don't cause you to trip - you could to buy these, just be prepared to replace all of your socks. They are stable, and they do not cause you to trip - like the new Gaviota style. Hoka - you ruined the perfect shoe when you redesigned the Gaviota. We are in shock over your decision. Please return them to the original fit, and style. Thank you.

Sadly I am returning this shoe. I wore it indoors for 3 days and they still made my feet sore. It is very different from the Arahi 6 that I have and is comfortable on my feet. Love my HOKA's and have 5 pairs, but Not this shoe.

I LOVE Hokas and have been so pleased with all my other orders. The only good thing about these shoes is the color-otherwise they're narrow and horribly uncomfortable. DON'T waste your money on these!! I plan to return for a better style.

I have been wearing Hokas for the past 3+ years and have always loved them. I am an over pronate and have multiple surgeries on both feet. This my second of new style just in a different color. These black ones are running at a half size smaller than my first pair. I do t think I am going to be able to wear them. Very frustrating

I'd like to get information regarding which style would be a better fit. It's difficult to actually get advice from anyone at HOKA

I have fairly bad overpronation and weak ankles. Tried wearing for about an hour for 2 days but started having knee pain. Seems like the shoes are overcorrecting the pronation.

I figured this would be like Arahi 7 which was very comfortable. It was too shallow in toe for me. Painful. I don't know why you stop making styles. I cant believe the 6 was unpopular.
I'd also recommend:
SAS and NB

The Arahi 6 is the best pair of Hoka's I have owned to date. I love my Cliftons, Bondi's, Kawana's, but they still aren't the Arahi 6. I thought I'd buy the Arahi 7, but they are so different! I ended up returning them and went with another pair of Cliftons... please bring back the Arahi 6 feel!

At first I was wow this feels great but as I continue to wear them they are not as comfortable and supportive as I thought. Heavy shoe and white is hard to clean.

Bought these for my daughter. She sent them back stating they were very stiff and not at all comfortable. I exchanged them for a different style and she LOVES them.

This shoe is my favorite fit and style from HOKA. Unfortunately the quality of the soles are severely lacking. Orthotics only work if they're well supported. The average person can't tell how poorly the soles are constructed, those of us who wear orthotics can. Since this shoe only held up for 32 hours, I ordered a new pair thinking they were defective. The new pair didn't relieve any of my discomfort so they went back. HOKA is one of the few shoes recommended by my podiatrist so I've moved onto Bondi 8 with the hope they'll hold up better because they're more expensive. Come on HOKA, help us orthotic wearers out.

My first HOKA's were the Arahi 6, felt great soon as I tried them on bought 2 pairs, so when the 7 came out I ordered two pairs first try on felt great after a month I have callus on side of feet, bottom of feet sore. I returned one pair the most recent pair I bought the vanilla pair which like everyone said is pink, i should have listened. What a disappointment the first pair I did not return yet, I may go to store and see if I can find a better fit and exchange if it's not too late.

I have worn Hoka Arahi for years. I had four different colors of the 6 and was excited about the release of the 7. I ordered a pair the day they released and couldn't wait to get them. I am so disappointed ! I've always been able to wear the Arahi right out of the box with no issues , but the 7 is very stiff and not very cushioned. I've tried then over and over since I got them and they're still not broken in. They feel clunky and not like the older versions. Please re release 6!

I LOVED the Arahi 6. Had them in multiple colors for both running and walking. The Arahi 7 just do not compare. The 7 are much more narrow and the upper material is so stiff. You can feel it bend and return as you take each step. I returned my initial order to then try the wide (I never buy wide shoes but thought it could be worth a shot) but unfortunately the stiffness was still present so it didn't matter. Had to return them. Really wish the 6 were still available. Why change what isn't broken?!

Work Arahi for years but the last couple style changes have made it narrower, uncomfortable, and weirdly loose in the ankle. Hope HOKA comes out with similar color ways for other styles, especially Gaviota.

It's always disappointing when a beloved product is "upgraded" for the worse. I've loved the Clifton 9's for distance running and Arahi 6 for faster runs. Unfortunately these Arahi 7's fit tight (even in wide width) and the upper mesh is inflexible leaving my feet feeling cramped with no room to breathe. The outersole also feels hard and inflexible. Maybe they need to be broken in? Usually Hokas are comfortable for me right out of the box, so I'm doubtful.

I have been wearing the arahi model of the hokas for the last 4 years (since the arahi 4). I overpronate when I run so this was a great stability shoe. I was super excited for the Arahi 7's I love the new color waves and the upgrades were what I have been looking for. I wore the Arahi 7's on 2 runs. I wore it for a workout and a 6 mile easy run. This shoe completely destroyed my heel. I got a huge blister after wearing them for these runs. I tried to adjust them to make them not rub and cause a blister but I could not fix them. I am really disappointed about this because I love the Arahis and hoka in general but I do not recommend these shoes.

It hurts just putting my foot in the Arahi's, as they are narrower than marked (D). I have worn many Hoka's over past 5 years. I am disappointed. Back to the MACH's and Challenger's. I wanted to try something more plush which is why I chose this style and reading a review on how plush Arahi's were.

I love the Arahi 6 but this new 7 drops at the front and really puts pressure on my big toe bone. I returned them because I miss the arahi 6 and need to switch over the ON cloud because the support seems to be better. I wish I could love these as much as the Arahi 6 because those are a diamond in stability shoes.

I have flat feet and I love my arahi 6's (which I already wear in wide), so I got the new arahi 7's in wide but they're so narrow. I get blisters on the insides of my arches when running. They're great for walking but not for running.

I have very flat feet and am prone to plantar fasciitis, shin splints and I overpronate. I'd read that the Arahi 6 were the shoes for me so I was sad that those are hard to find in my size. I thought the 7s would work fine. Woof, no. They are very stiff, did not help shin splints, and made the bottom of my feet ache so badly. I used them for a couple of weeks, daily (for walking) and they just hurt. Going to try the Clifton 9s (Bondi 8s are just ok).
