I already have a pair of Hoka shoes that fit like gloves and eased any sciatic hip pain. I wanted another in a different style, so I bought a pair of the Transport GORE-TEX.
The second pair did not fit comfortably at all after being worn for one day and did ease any pain.
I'd also recommend:

So bummed because I LOVE my Hokas (have two pairs!!) but I bought these for my boyfriend and after two weeks the soles are already separating from the rest of the shoe. Not sure if this is a one-time thing or if all pairs are like this.

3 days after purchasing my transport GTX my left shoe started making a clicking sound whenever I tried to walk. It went away for a day then came back on and off. Very embarrassing when your walking at work and people hear you coming from a distance.

My transport 9.5 D bought from Cabel's are great!!
Ordered online Transport GTX same size (9.5 D) and they were tight and too narrow; had to return them.

I always wanted a pair of "not so running shoe" look Hoka. I thought this would be the one. However after tried two pairs(sizing up 0.5 and 1 respectively) I had to return both. The sole is perfect, sweet balance of cushioning and support. Looks sleek as well, not as bulky as other models. But it makes this flip flop noise when walking, you can both hear and feel it. Deadly awkward when walking in a quiet place(such as your office) and extremely annoying when you walk alone on a trail.
And then the fitting is also not friendly to people with wide feet. I sized up 1 fully size and it's still squeezing my feet with loosest laces.
I hope they make a v2 which addresses both problems.

This is the first pair of Hokas I have bought, and I finally took the plunge because they were waterproof. My family all love Hokas and say they are really comfortable. Unfortunately these are not just uncomfortable, they are e painful to wear. I think it's the waterproof fabric on the front third of the shoe: it doesn't stretch at all and is so restrictive on my toes that I can't wear them for more than an hour. These were expensive shoes, so I keep trying to wear them, but next time I will opt for a version that is not waterproof.

Purchased the Transport GTX to replace the Rincon 3s I've been using for long-distance (4+ miles) daily walking workouts. I was surprised at how stiff and non-compliant they felt. I experienced an annoyingly loud "heel whack" (the same noise from which flip flops get their name) on my left foot that I couldn't adjust out. I've had several pairs of Rincon 3s and Bondi's and the Transports felt much narrower through to forefoot to the point that it created some irritation after 3-4 miles. I tried to be patient and used them for a couple of weeks to see if they'd stretch out but no luck. I returned them for exchange to Bondi 8s.

Nice looking shoe, but was way too narrow for me. I had to return, as they were not comfortable.

If stability is your thing, I suppose this is good. Comfort? Not a comfortable shoe. Has a strange feeling footbed. Very narrow. I normally wear 10.5 2E. These come only in D width, so I went for size 12, which works with Nike. Here? Nope, very narrow sneaker.
Very disappointed. After "Dark Brandon" got a pair, which I guess he got for stability I thought I'd try a pair. I'll continue to look for support with comfort, which this shoe was a major disappointment for.

Love the look and style of the Transporter. Unfortunately, this particular model runs small. I would recommend sizing an entire size up. I have been wearing these shoes for approximately 2 weeks thinking that they will eventually stretch out, but that has not happened.

I wear extra wide shoes. For an upcoming Alaska trip waterproof shoes are highly recommended. These are very nice looking shoes & the laces are great. I can fit into these but am definetly cramped. But they are waterproof. I bought them & guess that i am stuck.

Stylish shoe and more stable than the Clifton 9. Unfortunately, the shoe is very snug around where the second shoelace loop is. I learned that this is because the tongue at that part of the shoe is sewn to the rest of the shoe. I even went up half an inch to adjust for this, but the shoe was still very uncomfortable. I only felt comfort once I cut the rest of the tongue away from the shoe, which defeats the purpose of the GTX. Also, because of the materials used to make the upper part of the shoe, the shoe makes a weird sound when I walk. The sound comes from where my feet and toes bend. Think of the sound rubber rain boots make as parts of it bends/collapses and goes back to its original form. If you ever find these GTX shoes in store, try it for yourself. Hold the heel in one hand, and the toes in the other. Simulate walking as you bend the heel or toes up.

I wear a women's 11 W, but Hoka does not make shoes with Gore Tex in women's wide sizes. So, I decided to try this men's shoe, as a men's medium is usually like a women's wide, with the risk that the heel may be too wide. I tried men's sizes 9.5 and 10. Both would have worked as far as length, but the shoe was simply too narrow. I returned both, and I don't think sizing up to a 10.5 would work. Unless you have a particularly narrow foot, don't bother with this shoe.

I want to love these. They are everything I'm looking for in a Hoka - style, cushioning, the cool no-lace laces, and most of all, the gore tex. But they are SO narrow! I tried wearing them in the office for two days, with minimal walking and even just sitting down my feet were killing me. Come on Hoka! I'm begging for a gore tex shoe in a wide width! Take my money for that now! But in the meantime, I'll be sending these back. Sad face.

Like others, I returned my pair because they hurt my toes and instep. This was disappointing because other than the tightness, the shoes felt wonderful to walk on.

I have had a few pair of Hokas and they all felt great. So when I got these made for hiking,I thought they were supposed to be snug hiking. Well they kill my feet and now I can’t return because I have worn them for several miles.

These are my first pair of Hoka for cost of $175.00.
1. The shoe runs small as to width. 2. The shoes squeak on all surfaces. I love this style and GTX feature.
Not a great shoe for $175.99 so I returned them for credit. The posted were correct about the squeak.

The shoe was a little on the tight side. What doomed it was any step on a tile or linoleum floor resulted in squeaks with every step.

Too narrow, wide is not wide,I even bought a size larger. The toe box is extremely narrow, small, and pointed. Why don't you offer in an extra wide? Why don't you offer a wider toe box? I love my Bondi in extra wide. Can't you make others in same size.

The area between the tongue and shoe has asymmetrical gaps on both sides of the shoes, not caused by wear and tear. This allows water to enter the so-called waterproof shoe easily. Even after showing warranty support pictures of these gaps in the waterproof liner, they called it 'normal'. Yes, they told me my waterproof shoes are not waterproof by design and denied the warranty claim. Disappointed that Hoka doesn't stand by their product. This is the third and last time I buy Hokas, bye!

These shoes started to squeak after a few months wear. It is loud enough that people comment that they hear me coming as I am walking. Unfortunately, I did not read enough reviews before hand as this seems to be a common complaint. I filed a warrant claim and it was denied because it "is not a result of manufacturing defects caused during the production of the product. Trapped moisture and moving insoles cause a lot of squeaky sounds. This is not something that is covered under warranty."
If I had known about the squeak and the poor warranty help, I would never have bought these shoes!
