They were way too wide and had an especially high arch that was not comfortable

For years I've raved about how wonderful Hoka shoes are and how they're the answer to all of my foot issues and talked my husband into finally trying a pair. Sadly, they did not work out. The recovery mule uses some sort of insert that doesn't give it the same amount of support as the recovery slide. It also kind of feels awkwardly placed within the shoe. He felt like it made his foot actually hurt worse than the old pair of shoes he was wearing previously.

Third time wearing and they already ripped on the side! It tore between the holes. I thought these were sturdier and I have never had sandals rip on me like this before.

First of all these don't come in half sizes like 6.5 7.5 etc. So you'll end up with either too tight or too loose sandals and that's not good for your feet. Secondly they feel more plasticy. They do have good cushion but on the surface they feel definitely more plasticy and rugged. Hoka definitely needs to rework their sandals and slides from ground up.

This shoe was terrible for diabetes's feet! Add said to purchase a size bigger then what you wear! I did and the 14 was really big, I wear a 13 and that didn't fit well either !

Purchased these in the same size as my other 3 different pairs of Hoka shoes and they are at least a size smaller! It cost me $30 extra to return freight them. Costly and very annoying as I was professionally fit to size in my other Hoka I made the reasonable assumption that sizing across the brand was true. l would have given a zero if it was an option. They look comfy but having your heal on the hard back of the slide is not ideal.

At top of mule there is too much space so that makes a loose fit for my foot.

Wanted to replace my clogs- these are the most uncomfortable you can buy - I have many Hoka sneakers that I love so I thought these would be great - NO the inserts in them are ridiculous- to high - you can take them out and then you get less support- they suck and I'm a fan of the other stuff

The shoes rub the tops of my toes - very painful.

I'm so annoyed. What person who owns One One's wouldn't buy the same size in the mules? I got the mules only to find that the sizing is completely different. Same for when I bought the One One's- I had to size way down to a size I haven't worn since middle school. It's such a waste of time (and terrible for the environment) to buy, return, repeat. Definitely a deterrent. I returned this purchase because sizing was a disaster so I cannot tell you how they are.

It causes severe blisters.

The feel terrible. I have blisters on both feet from hardness of these sandles

I pretty much wear Hoka shoes, I thought these particular shoes would be great. When I first put them on they felt comfortable, then I wore them and they were awful....they started rubbing a blister on the side of my foot, they were not comfortable to walk in, they just did not fit my foot right.

What a bummersandals/clogs ripped and split in between the cutouts on the upper after only 3 months! Hoka used to be, when independently owned, a phenomenal brand and of high-quality. But since being bought and absorbed in corporate America (Levi's/Dockers) the quality is gone down the gutter. Before the shoes broke and became unwearable, I wore them for three months. I am retired and spent a lot of time on the computer at home: so these recovery sandals/clogs only had moderate wear. Very disappointing!

I don't know what went wrong, but Hoka should just scrap this version and start over! Please!! Hoka could make the Crocs empire VERY nervous if they can actually get this right!! It does NOT feel "plush" or soft by any means! It was VERY Narrow and not long enough. I wear 11.5 in sneakers and bought a 12 in these. My foot was sticking out the back! What went wrong in the manufacturing of these shoes???

The medium width is appropriate. However, the footbed and the top foot area are narrow. The feeling of scraping of the top of your feet is uncomfortable. This is truly disappointing.

The tops of the shoes have sharp bits from the mold (or something) that cut into the tops of my feet. They're very comfortable cushioning wise but bloddy feet are zero fun. I purchased these to replace my old Ora Lux slides and these are nowhere close to them. I wouldn't recommend these unless you plan on wearing socks with them.

I purchased my normal Women's size 9 and the footbed was too short. I exchanged it for a Women's size 10 and of course it was way too big. The exchange process was easy with the first transaction but now it is very difficult to find out how to return the size 10.

I have a very high arch. With socks on you have to work to get these on. Besides being too restrictive they are like wearing sweaty rubber shoes. Why change a good thing? In trying to save my investment from the trash can, with help from a straight edge, I have cut the to of the toe area of to copy the design of my old sandles. Much better but not great.

After the original size not fitting and getting a replacement which still runs larger than anticipated, I am disgusted to find the Mule uncomfortable. Feels very clumsy.

This sandal is so wide, I couldn't even begin to wear it! Strange your sneakers fit great. Not sure why everyone makes sandals so wide??
