I have arthritis in my big toes, as well a bunions. I've spent an unbelievable amount of time and money trying to find shoes that would enable me to stay mobile. I started wearing barefoot-style shoes, which are a godsend for my toes. Most don't provide any heel cushion, though, so I developed issues in my Achilles tendons. The Olympus 2 solves my problems: they give my toes plenty of room, they encourage a natural, rolling step, AND they give my poor old heels some support. I can't believe my dream shoe actually exists. Please, Altra, don't change this shoe!

I do a lot of walking.When I work they have the best support too my feet. I absolutely would recommend the Altra Olympus 2 shoes for anyone that needs great support.

I have put just over 15 miles on these shoes so far and they are amazing! The cushion is great and the toe space is so welcome!

The added cushioning and toe box design give my wide feet a comfortable space to run longer distances. I have knee issues and I noticed these provided me with better support while running that I did not feel pain afterwards. They are very light weight and stylish, I would highly recommend to any runner!

I can't say enough good things about this shoe. The fit is perfect; the toe box offers an unmatched amount of room; the perfect arch support. I never dealt with blisters across long runs and my come-and-go knee pain was GONE with the cushion support this offers.

I have been using wide toe shoes for a while. This is the first wide toed sneaker I have felt that fully supports the whole foot for running and speed walking. It's so comfortable on my feet and i feel balance is improved because of it.

I can't say enough great things about these shoes! This is the first time I've ever found a pair of shoes that are really wide enough in the toe box. Everything about them is great, breathable material, great cushion and fantastic fit! I wore them on the treadmill a few times and then put them to a road test, and they were amazing! Then I gave them the ultimate test, two theme parks and they passed with flying colors! I was the only one in the group that didn't have sore feet after one day at Knotts then the next at Universal Studios. These shoes are just amazing and I will be back for more!

When I tell you that my steps have exceeded my minimum daily goal, you'll run to get these. I am an avid exercise enthusiast so I love purchasing the best fitness tools, clothes, makeup and shoes. These make me feel like I'm walking on air! Every step is met with full support, where every part of my foot is protected and cushioned. The size is absolutely true to size and it's friendly for those with wide feet (my sister tried it, tried to take them home on "accident") and tried to guilt me into letting her take them for a test run. Sorry, this is one pair of shoes I will not share with absolutely anyone. When you make a product that meets or exceeds a consumers preferences, you have a customer for life. Seriously amazing!

These shoes overexceeded my expectations! The number one thing I LOVE about these shoes are the wide toe box! The shoe itself is not a wide-width but the toe box is on another level! It allows your feet to hit the surface naturally as it would if you were barefoot which is KEY to comfort for me! Nobody wants cramped toes on a walk or run! Also surprised by the weight of the shoes, despite having a kind of platform sole the shoe it lightweight and roomy! LOVE THESE!

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. The toe box is roomy but the heel is perfect. There is great cushion. I loved these even better than my Brooks. Highly recommend!

I got to test these shoes complimentary of bzzagent, and having plantar fasciitis is so miserable. Having foot pain and then having it affect your hips and your knees and your back is no fun. These actually helped to make the pain go away. They were high and I felt really tall, but they were half a size too big. I usually wear a 7, and the 7 1/2 I could slip right into, but they did stay on all day. These were some amazing shoes! I definitely recommend these!!! Thank you bzzagent!!

This is the first Altra running shoe I have tried. It is a very comfortable running shoe that is very lightweight. I love the cushioning of the high stacked foam sole. I have not been an avid runner for very long, particularly because I have not had shoes comfortable enough for a long run. This shoe has changed that! I love the Olympus 2 which has now become my favorite running shoe.

I recently had a knee replacement, and I am beginning to get back into fast paced walking and slow jogging. I've had a lot of trouble trying to find different types of sneakers that didn't have so much impact on my surgical knee that were wide enough to fit my feet. I tried these and theyre amazing. I had no foot, leg or knee pain. I have double wide feet and the fit was perfect. They were not snug or too loose. This is the perfect sneaker!

I bought this shoe. I needed a zero drop by my podiatrist approved the shoe. The shoe is extremely comfortable, but I have a narrow heel and my shoes weren't properly laced to compensate for that. The shoe tore open in two places in wear earlier than it should and couldn't clean. This was due to slippage from the seller not lacing them correctly. I sprayed my shoes to protect them but didn't help. I work in healthcare and I'm easy on shoes. I'm very disappointed too. There should be a more durable heel protection on the back of the shoes, also had to use a shoe horn to get them on. It would be nice if came in dark grey or black. I do need another pair of shoes. This shoe is roomy Help.

I'm battling some kind of forefeet pain & have tried countless shoes with no success. This model is the only Altra I can fit my orthotic & metatarsal pad in without being crammed. Love the roomier toe box than other Altras and the 0mm heel to toe drop. Buying another pair as I'm reading reviews that they're about to be discontinued! Please don't discontinue! Need 0mm heel drop as well as the high volume toe box.

I wear these to work. They are comfortable for a long day in a doctors office. They run just a little wide. Shoe strings are oddly stiff. I am going to try washing them and see if that helps. This is my second pair of these for work

The wide toe box makes these shoes one of a kind. the level of cushion takes it to the next level. I have purchased 3 pairs and honestly - if I could afford more, I would. Pros: easy to launder and wash; max cushion, wide toe box (no squished toes) and love the colors. Cons: heels wear out pretty quick. Cost. But I will continue to purchase these.

I love these for easy runs after a long training week. The cushion doesn't feel heavy and the rocker is great. I normally run in the Escalante's, so I like the original foot bed. The one draw back for me is the lacing system on these. You can't get the laces tight because all the fabric bunches up and then my foot slides over the edge of the shoe when I'm going around corners. I wish this had the same lacing system as the Escalante which really lets you lock in your foot and feels like a glove.

I absolutely love this shoe regarding its support and room for my toes. The downside is the fabric on the Achilles area wears very quickly revealing the inside foam. I have not had this issue with other Altras.

I have bought three pairs of shoes in the last 5 weeks. This is the best by far. However, I also bought another pair of Altras that I did not like as well. It's guess work to find the correct shoe.
