Incredibly comfortable, high cushion soles that makes you feel like your walking on a cloud. These are very low impact shoes great for running. They provide good support. However they may be unusually high for some folks.

I wear about a 71/2-8 and I wear a 9 in these. But I can tell you I have severe feet problems and I was recommended to but other name brand tennis shoes and I did and they didn't help so I bought a pair of these and it was amazing . I think I have bought 6 pr in a year. They are amazing . And if you have feet problems you'll do anything for relief. Amazing shoes ( and my podiatrist wears them).

I own the Orginal Via Olympus shoes, paradigm 6's, and recently tried the Altra FWD shoes. Hands down The Via Olympus 2 is my choice, especially for long 8-hour+ Disney days. Concrete is the worst for any feet for long periods of time. I just did a long day at Disney CA Parks yesterday and when I woke up today my feet didn't hurt. Even last night my feet felt fine. I highly recommend these, they feel like your bare feet are walking on floor mats all day ( the kind of mat you use in front of your sink washing dishes). I think these are really a Disney game changer. I feel like my feet are supported with the softness of a nice cushion. I highly recommend them. I will be buying another pair. Altra did these right!
I bought the purple, but the color looks more like it resides on the blue spectrum. So maybe a blurple is the best way to describe the color.

The only complaint I have which is the most important part of the shoe is the insole there's too much going on in the midfoot area. I came home from work after sitting for awhile then standing again i had a crack rubbed busted wide opened on the ball of my foot then my right heel was hurting throbbing so bad I could hardly sleep be aware this pain came afterwards during I felt the pressure a little but kept pushing anyway do not do that! I had low hopes for these as ive tried all the olympus models and struck out but dangit altra was my go to has been for yrs! idk what im gonna do now for work shoes! I've been wearing the 4s since early last year they're about worn slap out and altra doesnt seem to care about its loyal customers more focused on new comers so I guess i gotta go find another shoe brand?? MATCH THE OLYMPUS 4S YOULL GET MANY 5 STAR REVIEWS AS IVE SEEN ALOT OF UNHAPPY REVIEWS!!!

If you have forefoot or metatarsal pain, this shoe is for you! Zero drop takes the pressure off that area, and the rocker bottom helps propel you forward without pushing too hard on the painful area. Love this shoe! Cannot believe it's being discontinued and replaced with a HIGHER heel drop!!!

These are the best shoes EVER! I was so sad to hear that they would be discontinued and replaced with the FWD VIA 2, WHICH I did buy and they are NOT the same not even close ... I had foot pain because the shoe was too tight and not comfortable for long walks. The Via Olympus 2 are my go to shoes for Long walks (30km + ) or just around the neighborhood. Please do not change them and make them more narrow just to appeal to the masses. My Partner also wears these and loves them.

I got these shoes as my last effort to start running again after a long battle with plantar fasciitis. I've already trained and run one half marathon in them and have started training for a full! I'm on my 3rd pair bc when I retire them as running shoes they become my work shoes. Please don't discontinue these - they are amazing!!

This is the only shoe that truly works for me. My feet and knees feel the best in this shoe. Not happy that the new version doesn't have a 00mm h2t drop. Please keep this shoe, if only in two colors.

I love these shoes so much, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I recently been diagnosed with Hallux Limitis and the shoes are still the most comfortable. Buy them while you still can! I've ordered the new FWD VIA they're trying to replace them with and don't love them nearly as much!

I got a half size larger than I usually get. They fit perfectly. These are literally the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I'm 66 so I've worn a lot. My toes aren't squeezed and my Morton's neuroma, arthritic knee and herniated L4/5 are all so happy with these shoes.

I love these Altra's. I have wide feet and a bunion on one foot. These are the only running shoes I can buy that fit my feet comfortably. I wish Altra was not discontinuing this style!

Love the bigger toe box and the support/cushioning this shoe provides. I wear a size 11 in regular shoes, but buy an 11.5 in this brand as I also purchase the Torin to wear everyday.

I have a Morton's neuroma & these shoes allow me to keep running without surgery! The only shoe I've found that keeps me pain-free & comfortable no matter the mileage.

My podiatrist recommended Altra shoes after I graduated out of my cam boot due to big toe fusion. I ordered a pair of Via Olympus 2 and was so happy how they supported, yet left so much room for my healing toe that I bought another pair. Thank you!

I have tried every possible extra wide shoe on the market, and this is the only shoe and specific style that fits me due to the extra wide toe box and superb cushioning. Please don't discontinue it!

This is my second pair - wanted to try sizing up from a 9 to 9.5 this time as my toes were hitting the front a bit too much in the 9 during my hour+ walks on treadmill. 9.5 is perfect for me. I love these shoes mainly because of the wide toe box, but the extra cushion and slightly curved soles give a great bounce and propel me forward. The thick cushion eliminates hip pain I was having when wearing different shoes on my long walks. Will buy these again and again as long as the quality remains the same. Also bought these last year for my mother-in-law and she loves them as well.

The wider toe box and zero drop are essential to my feet as I’m getting older. I prefer the Olympus 2 to the FWD because of the zero drop.

Please don't discontinue this shoe. We need a max cushion zero drop, roomy toe box option for those of us with bad feet and certain foot conditions. The new via is nothing like the olympus sadly.

After an accident, my other wide shoes were too narrow. My physical therapist recommended Altra and I fell in love with them. The wide toe box gives me plenty of room. We won't wear anything else.

I have a long-term metatarsal injury and wide toe box. These are the only shoes that allow me to take long walks on pavement or work all day on hard floors without pain (with orthotic). I'm gonna be sunk if Altra drops this line. They keep pushing the FWD Via as the successor shoe, but that is not a zero-drop shoe! If you need zero drop with a wide toe box and lots of cushioning, this model is the one.
Really, really wish they offered more dark colors, not just black. The pastels/whites get filthy immediately with outdoor use.
Shoe cushioning is good for about six months of steady use before it needs to be consigned to the off-pavement bin. Less if you are high mileage. But, note, again, this is the one shoe in the world that I can wear for a long day of walking on pavement, say touring a city on vacation, and still be not in pain at the end of the day.
[I like the Olympus off-road series as well (also original footshape, zero drop, high cushioning), but it doesn't have the same staying power for long days on the pavement. Since I live in a city and work on tile floors, I would have to drop my total daily stepcount if I had to rely on that one alone. Better for off-road though.]
Really, really hoping they don't discontinue this shoe.

I just purchased my third pair of these (from another retailer) and came here to say this:
I cannot for the life of me fathom why Altra would replace an excellent zero-drop shoe that helps so many people with the non-zero-drop "fwd" technology that exactly NOBODY who loves this shoe wants. Please do your clientele and your bottom line a favor and bring this back, including the wide toe box, great cushioning, and the zero drop format (maybe minus the colors, although the purple was lovely, except that it sold out immediately).
The fact that Altra constantly switches up shoes so that I can't rely on a shoe model I loved has made me look to other brands, and that's a shame.

I'm on my feet a lot, plus I walk for exercise, and have bad bunions. These shoes are so soft and cushy, my feet feel well supported and my toes have the room they need! Very comfortable!
