I have suffered from plantar fasciitis and a ruptured plantar fascia for 2 yrs now. My local running store switched me from Hoka's to Altra in November last year and I'm never buying another brand again! They have literally given me back my life. I own the grey, black and white pairs.

This is exactly the running shoe I needed. It fits exactly right, including the necessary toe box width for my bunion. They are lightweight, and the cushioning is great. Perfect! I am about to order a second pair.

This brand was recommended by a coworker who has similar fitting and arch issues. I'm on my feet 95% of the day with multiple stops and starts. I could hop and jog in this shoe at the startsomething I haven't been able to do on my feet for years. I wore them out of the shop and went jogging with my dog. It was exhilarating! I'm fine with the off white color.

Been an enthusiastic runner, I've had my fair share of foot and ankle injuries/surgeries. I still like to run pretty much every day, and I would say this model of this shoe is the best pair of running shoes. I've had in a long time. Few paychecks from now I plan to order second pair because I don't want this one to go away. I would highly recommend this shoe for anyone for roadrunning. It's the bomb!

Been searching my entire life for this kind of comfort in a walking shoe. I love the way I glide like on a cloud. Sounds cheesy I know, but totally love this shoe. Pricey, but worth it for me to not have pain.

Very comfortable

I had two knee surgeries on one knee in the last year and needed something that provided comfort upon impact. This shoe fits the bill! However, the color choices need to be more bold and modern. I will buy another pair when this happens!

I've had three surgeries on my left foot, and this shoe is definitely saving me right now! The wide toe box and cushion are amazing!!

I've been looking for a pair of shoes for standing all day and I finally found the perfect pair.

I bought them on November, I have 2 Morton neuronas. I feel soo good no pain I am able to walk and do all my activities my knees and my back are also aligned, this has been a blessing. I tried hokas and new balance none of them worked. This shoes change my life.

If you walk a lot or work on your feet all day, these are THE shoes you need! I still feel energetic return from the cushioning even after 12 hours on my feet. I don't rush to take them off when I get home. I have put many long walks in them too and they are just phenomenal!

I love these shoes. they're really comfortable and light. they're also a little bit funny-looking, with their rounded toes but I like it.

I have had problems for many years finding a comfortable athletic shoe. They just never seem to fit comfortably. I had never heard of Altra shoes until a couple of weeks ago. I have been suffering with metatarsalagia for 8 months, so much so, that in September 2023 I saw a foot surgeon about my bunion and the pain in the ball of my foot. He recommended another brand that cost the same as these, but my feet and legs hurt all the time and my right foot hurt worse. Surgery was not needed so in December I was put in a short walking boot for 6 weeks to give my foot a rest, that helped, but still had pain. Until last Monday. I purchased my first pair of Altra shoes, Via Olympus 2, with the original footbed! They have been a life saver! I have never had a pair of shoes fit so well, the extra cushioning and wide toe box is AWESOME!! I literally feel like I am walking barefoot with shoes on! I seriously cannot say enough good about these shoes! I have 4 pair of different brands of athletic shoes that will go elsewhere! I will be purchasing another pair of these as soon as I save up some money! Thank you Altra, for me personally, the original footbed is exactly what I need!!

Appreciate the all-black option on these cushiony shoes! Will continue to wear Lone Peaks for hiking, walking, gym (Escalantes and Torins in past). The Via Olympus 2 will be a great everyday type shoe. And now I have Altra black heels for more formal events. Seriously, appreciate the understated option. And as many others have noted before, I always order a half size up.

Comfortable for walking and working out in the gym. The toe box is roomy (I can actually wiggle my toes in them and the rest of my foot feels secure and supported). The shoe is definitely worth the price.

I have Mortons Neuroma so I've been purchasing zero drop shoes in order to release the pressure on the front if my foot. That lead to me having a lot of issues with my Achilles. This shoe is the perfect drop to keep both ends of my foot happy.

I am not a runner, just a 69 year old active woman with osteoarthritis of my mid foot, having had major fusion surgery on one of them. I have bought at least 6 pairs of Olympus shoes over the past few years, and LOVE them. My only complaint was that I develop a hole in the top of the shoe because of the way my big toe swings up when I walk. This last time, I bought the Olympus Via 2, and wore them recently on a trip to Egypt and Greece, walking almost constantly. They were so incredibly comfortable and stable, and I am so impressed at the improvement over the regular Olympus (which I thought were perfect), that I have just ordered 2 more pair. Thank you Altra team, for more improvement!!!!

Altra Customer Service recommended the Via Olympus, when the Paradigm could not fit my high arch. The Via Olympus has been a godsend. I have a host of high-arch foot problems -- chronically fractured sesamoids; bunions; a hammertoe; stress fractures. My podiatrist recommended toe separators, which require a super wide shoe. The Via Olympus 2 and the Via Olympus both feature the "Original" Altra "foot shape." It is markedly wider than the "standard" width of the Paradigm. It also is much higher at the laces, for which the shoe jargon is "volume." The Via Olympus allows me to use toe separators comfortably, and I am beyond grateful to the Altra Customer Service. I ordered one size up from my usual. But it's a shame that the most common foot shape at Altra is *not* the widest one they make.

Hands down the best walking shoe I have owned! Lots of cushioning and that is what I needed. Love the room in the toe box too!

I bought a 9 Medium; usually wear a 9 Wide (D). I've been wearing most everyday for about 4 weeks and so far they're super comfortable. No issues with the width or walking in them. Very happy to date.

I've been struggling with Plantar Fasciitis since March of 2023 and these, paired with the Cadence Low Volume insoles, are the only shoes that have been comfortable to wear! I've tried so many other shoes since March and everything seemed to aggravate the issue. It was to the point where plantar fasciitis was effecting my life and what I chose to do. Then I found the Olympus 2s. Not only are these comfortable, I feel like my plantar fasciitis is starting to fade I could be totally delusional about it fading. But at the very least, I can walk more than 10,000 steps in a day without being in excruciating pain at the end of the day. And that's a huge win! For reference, I've also tried the original Olympus and they were nowhere near as comfortable. These have far more cushion than the original version. When the Olympus 2s I have start to wear out, I'll definitely be purchasing another pair. Can't live without them at this point!

I am new to this brand of shoe. I did some google searches and ALTRA was highly recommended. I work 10 hour shifts in a prison environment. I found out quickly, my military style boots did not jell with concrete floors. I needed a solution ASAP, because of pain in my feet. I read the reviews of the Olympus 2 and I knew this was the shoe for me. I ordered the all black pair and I was off to races. It would have been great if this shoe came in leather. I received my shoe in a timely manner. I put them to the test , I worked 10 hours plus overtime and I need not experience anymore pain. It was unbelievable, I had to look down at my feet, because I couldn't believe the pain was gone. I have purchased other walking/ running shoes in the past, because I love to walk (HOKA, NIKE, NEW BALANCE, BROOKS, SACONY). However, this shoe provide a different experience: the toe box allowed room to freely move my toes, extremely light weight shoe, great comfort and support. If you work long hours, take care of your feet. This is the shoe that you need. It's worth the money and you will not regret it. I received a lot of questions and compliments from my coworkers regarding this style of shoe. I provided the website for them to order (#TEAM ALTRA) I will be ordering another pair.
