I am a longtime Gel-Nimbus runner. I loved the 25 but the 26 did not make me go WOW! I never thought a running shoe could be too soft, but the 26 feels softer than the 25 which in my case makes it a slower shoe. A positive for me has been that it appears the slippery traction issues of the 25 have been solved. One baffling thing to me is other reviewers have claimed this shoe is lighter than the 25. ASICS shows the 26 has being heavier and my size 12 shoe is well over half an ounce heavier than the same sized 25. Overall not a bad shoe, but I may ride out the 26 model year on 25s!

Terrible, bought it and couple days started to unstitch inside, contacted costumer service, but i throwed away the receipt and they said nothing can be done. Look at the pictures ! I sended pics , details, dates and where i bought tooWill never buy a Asics again

They're comfortable but very narrow. For comparison these shoes in wide sizing are the same width as my addidas ultraboost 23 (which aren't wide at all). I like them for the most part but wouldn't buy them again unless the fixed the width issue.

I am suffering with foot pain problem hence bought these shoes. I bought this shoe in 3rd week of January 24. Compare to Gel Nimbus 25 the squishiness is relatively less but stability is improved. Comfort wises it is most comfortable with its other launched asics running models. Looks are slightly simple to previous models and other competitors. I am wearing it on formal dresses and usually use it for walking purpose. Hence, I was expecting some aesthetic improvements. Rather I would suggest Asics company people please develop some formal looking verymuch comfortable shoes which we can be use in offices or other non-sport areas.

I was in search for a highly cushioned running shoe and it was down to Asics Gel-Nimbus 25 or 26 and another brand name shoe. I tried the Gel-Nimbus 25 at my local sporting good's store and it was really soft and plush. It felt like butter and your feet just sink in with every step. I knew that the Nimbus 26 was going to be released in a couple of weeks so I waited. The difference I felt once I tried the Nimbus 26 is that the midsole was noticeably firmer and its stack height increased. The firmer midsole may be a con for some people but I actually like it because it allows me to pick up the pace a bit when running. Midsoles that are too soft and plush actually make the bottoms of my feet ache and hurt after a run. The upper knit material locks my foot in place. No issues with heel slips. The insoles are also very comfortable and soft and are memory-foam like. The only reason why I gave the Gel Nimbus-26 4 out of 5 stars is because my feet felt hot every time I ran in them. I tried wearing different socks but it still felt hot. If it were more breathable this would be the perfect shoe for me!

Placed my order on January 17, 35 days ago, still have not received my order. Asic chat told me it was due to the weather in Texas. Tracking link at that time showed the shoes left Georgia in route to Virginia. Neither location is remotely close to Texas. I contacted the shipping company and they informed me the shoes were lost, and to contact Asic again. In a telephone conversation last week, I was told they would ship another pair in 1 to 2 business days. Still no shoes.

Love the style and comfort. Feels like your walking in clouds

Thank you ASICS for being the first and only to make a 13 1/2 Extra Wide shoe. The 14 s were way too large and 13s just a bit short (I have 4 pairs of the 25s in a 13). Amazing shoe.

You sent me a review request and I never received my shoes. Your site says they have been waiting for FedEx pickup. FedEx picks up from you every day and never got them. They were probably stolen from your shipping department

I have had foot trouble recently---pain, especially on the ball of my foot and along the outside edge---and have tried countless shoes on to find something to help. There is such a fine line between too much cushion (and too flexible) and not enough; these things are virtually perfect. They also do not have an overly dramatic "fall-off" at the front. The funny thing is that I got to try them on about a week ago by mistake; the store associate brought them out before they were to be released to the public (he didn't realize it at first). After I tried them on and said I liked them, they said they couldn't sell them to me, so I went home and immediately preordered them. I am not a runner, but shoes like this are the only thing that give me what I need. The problem is that "fine line" I mentioned above. Somehow, Asics nailed it. Thanks!

I've bought multiple gel nimbus 25s, 2 pair at a time on occasion. The 26s are a disappointment. Not as soft, less cushion, feel cheap. My nimbus 25s that have been demoted to yard shoes are still softer than the new 26s. I would disagree these are improved. And would have paid more to retain the comfort of the 25s.

These shoes are extremely soft under foot but are not perfect. I usually wear a 10.5 4E and find I still have room at the end of a work day. With ASICS the toe box feels more like other brands in a 2E width, because of this the pair of gel nimbus and cumulus I bought will be reserved for weekend runs and walks or early morning gym sessions. Hopefully by the time these wear out I'll be able to find my size in store to try on before buying them.

Very comfortable shoe, but the new design across the ASIC platform is very ugly in my opinion. The Black on Black shoes do a good job of hiding the ugly soles.

Not as comfortable as the 25 fits. Laces too short

It is not as comfortable as previous version. It does not feel as cushion as previous versions on the midsole. Also, the sock liner is very uncomfortable and feels too tight. I'm trying different brands until these things are fixed on the shoe

Toe boxes are smaller for the last 7 years or so including this year.

I have been wearing nimbus for a long time. The nimbus 26 seems narrow

I tried the Nimbus 25 at a store as that was all they had and was told the 25 and 26 were the same but the toe box on the 26 is wider then the 25

compared to the nimbus 25 this shoe is a step in the wrong direction. the lively underfoot feel is gone, replaced instead by something that feels blocky and a little dead. also, the sizing is off. the upper of the 25 felt very dialed in and comfortable, whereas the 26 feels more voluminous. it's hard to get a lockdown in my usual size without cranking the laces, which i deplore and causes discomfort. overall it kind of trashes the running experience when you don't feel like your foot is secure over the midsole. i will keep these for walking and casual wear because the feather gray colorway is very subtle and nice but when it comes to running these don't do it for me.

They're squishy, have bounce and wide enough to fit my wide flat feet as i am a casual wearer and feel i could run a mile in them!
