Great Fit Right out of the box!!! I'm a big fan of MERRELL hiking shoes and even use them for cycling shoes. This is NOT my first pair of MERRELLs by any stretch as I only buy MERRELL hiking shoes and boots now, but this is my first pair with the Gore-Tex waterproof technology. So, I'm very excited to see how they perform in wet conditions. Very comfortable though.

Great Boots for getting outdoors whether hiking or walking the dogs. Super comfortable with great arch support.

By far the best boots I have ever owned. I got the Wides due to my plantar fasciitis and flat wide feet, and let me tell you that they more than accommodate my hamburger feet! I pulled the stock insoles and replaced them with Aetrex memory foam ones and it's like I'm walking on clouds! The support is second to none and holds the ankles tight for those rugged hikes. They grip like cat's claws in any terrain no matter the weather. NEVER going with another brand again!

Great boot that fits my foot really well right out of the box. I use a wide so it is one of the few that actually fits my foot. Comfortable for hiking with elevation gain anbd distance, and waterproof.

I absolutely love these comfortable out of the box great traction for everywhere I walk. couldn't be better.

Excellent shoe! I wear an orthopedic brace on my left foot, so I just order the wide. Fit is Great!

Moab 3 with gor-tex size 13 Wide actually are truely wide. I have purchased other's , but these I keep coming back to. Good Job!

This is the second pair I've purchased, they fit well out of the box and I wear them through the winter. My only complaint would be that I had one of the shoestring eyelets break on my previous pair.

Very comfortable boots. I upgraded from the Moab 2 and I hope these hold out as long as my 2's did. Very little break in period, comfortable fit, nice ankle support, gore-tex (definitely stays dry stepping in puddles / mud) everything you need in a rugged boot. Highly recommend to get out on the trails.

Comfortable and solid for the first month. Time will tell if they hold up, but I'm glad I bought them so far

No break-in period, period. Comfortable right away. The traction is superb and, for a hiking boot, they look great. I have a narrow foot and Merrell's boots fit me perfectly. The height of the ankle support is ideal because it gives me extra support but doesn't limit flexion in my ankle. I can highly recommend this boot.

These boots are comfortable right out of the box. They are lightweight and have good ankle support. The grip of the Vibram outsole is the best.

Work in the electrical/manufacturing field . Best shoe I have worn in years . On may 3rd pair . Great foot wear !!!

I wear my Moab 3 Mid GORE-TEX boots for work as an IT Technician. I climb digital billboards and onto roofs of commercial buildings. I'm up and down ladders and stairs most days and my feet don't hurt anymore.

Purchased these for an Iceland trip that my daughter and I just took. Did not "break" them in prior to the trip and felt like they had been broken in already. Feet were always dry, the gripping of the sole is superb over mud, rock, gravel etc. I wore these to every waterfall hike we did and a short 7k trail. I would highly recommend them. I can't speak for longevity as I've only had them for two weeks as of this review. The fit is dead on, I've got Merrell tennis shoes and they seem to run narrow but these are spot on for my size 11.5.

Gore-Tex seems to allow my feet to breathe better. I live in a very hot climate and cool feet also cool looking feet are important. This Merrell shoe model is also lighter than my previous Merrills.

I picked up 2 pairs of the Moab 3 Mid, one with Gore-Tex and one without. I had bought a cheaper pair of Merrell's at a discount store years ago and wasn't impressed, but my coworkers swore by the Moab and I decided to give them a try. So glad I did. These were purchased primarily for work, where work is mountain maintenance - dirt trails, erosion ditches, single-track courses, water run-off systems, rocky scrambles - I get through it all in a day. I get a lot of all-weather exposure, too; and sometimes it feels like I see all four seasons in 24 hours. But I'm putting in miles on pavement, mountainside, and at the office for the last few weeks and man, I love these boots. The pair with Gore-Tex are noticeably heavier in hand, but once they are laced up on my feet they don't feel heavy at all. Although I bought the two pair so that I could have hot day and wet day options, more often than not I just end up taking the waterproof ones out on the hill with me. It's so nice to not even have to think about soggy feet and where I'm stepping. I would recommend some upgraded insoles, but the boot itself is just an excellent piece of equipment, and I'm already thinking I will buy them again. Plus they're great-looking. I might have to grab the low-top for excursions into urban settings.

If these boots last for a long time they are as close to a perfect boot that you are going to find. They are extremely comfortable, they don't need broke in, and if you get gore Tex you know they are water proof. They also have an aggressive tread that grips to the ground extremely well. I have wore all different kinds of boots and nothing else compares. Do yourself a favor and buy them now.
