The gum shoes I bought were exactly what I needed. I had been looking for a pair for a while. I was looking to use these for getting around in a few inches of snow. These shoes fit good and are comfortable. They have good traction in the snow. I can't believe how good the traction is. I don't slip at all. These are great!

I received my bean boot when I tell you excellent packaging , shipped extremely fast and well package ! They made adjustments to the string before they were way too long waste of material . Ultimately they fit perfectly, I wear a 111/2 I ordered 101/2 perfect fit ! Dont hesitate great product feels good ! Thanks

I love the boots but the business of having to order a full size down from what I normally where was just wierd (and stressful). Bean has been making boots for a long time and they can't size them correctly?

I Bought mine in 1972 and I still are wearing them. They great for comfort and keeping my feet dry during winter. I also have the Boots for use in deeper snow.

Shipped fast, Well packed. Ensure you use the note "order one size smaller than you normally wear". I did and mine fit perfect, comfortable and very well made. Highly recommend the shoe and LL Bean...

Outstanding boot as always over last 30-40 years! Customer service indicated boot running true size was ONE full size over. Ordered size 10 rather than 11!

Fit as expected and looks cool plus you can never beat American made shoes

Got these Bean boots in the mid-1980s to wear with suits on snowy and icy days. Absolutely the best. Mine are lined in Gore-Tex insulation. This review is a little tardy but thought I'd like to speak up about these wonderful boots.

These gum shoes are without a doubt the best outdoor shoe for year round outdoor work around home and camp life. I and my family have worn these gum shoes here in NJ and at our Adirondack camp for many years and with a little care on the leather uppers these shoes keep performing year after year. Fantastic product!!!

make sure to order a full size down, normally a size 8.5, ordered a 7.5 and they fit perfect

Used these shoes for about 50 years - still excellent. Laces should be more pliable.

Comfortable, practical and good looking. I usually wear a size 13 shoe. Based on the sizing recommendation, I got a 12 in the Bean shoe. It fits perfectly and is more comfortable than I remember the boots or slip ons being. I wear custom orthotics and they work well.

This is my third pair in fifty years. The soles on my last pair were getting a little too worn. I am very pleased that LLBean still makes these in Maine. They are well built and certainly do last.

Great shoe! Runs at least a half size larger than your normal shoe size. I'm an "old timer", so I've worn them forever!

This is my second pair. They are sturdy, comfortable, and keep my feet dry from the wet and cold in the winter months.

Comfortable shoes, love the treads for gardening work

LLBean is still the high quality product that I remember. It took me years to wear out my last pair of gumshoes. I was crossing my fingers that this new pair would be the same and am thankful they are. It's nice to know this day and age, that LLBean is still made in America and high in quality!!

The Gumshoes are rugged and built very well. They are lined, yet I usually wear socks w/ them. The shoestrings are rawhide and not installed on the shoe as you receive them. That's ok, however I was hoping they had a slip on type , but not available. The shoe fit, was true to it's description and feels good.

They're perfect for working in the vegetable garden.

I tried these boots on, I walked around in L.L. Bean with them on, and I kept waiting. For what? So, after a period of one year passed, I bought them. To date, I have wore them twice. I could wear them all the time, but it does not rain all the time, the style just looks that good. With a Leather & Rubber protector, a basic routing of care, these will last for My entire life. These Boots are a Great Product with heavy duty stitching, thicker than normal leather, and an inspector with a eye for detail, the old saying "You get what You pay for", immediately comes to mind. NOTE: YOU WILL FIND THESE SHOES UNDER BEAN BOOT, not Gum Shoe, not Duck Shoe, and definitely not under Rain Boots Try a pair today, and You will take them Home.

Love these shoes. I've been using these shoes throughout my 37 year career as a golf course superintendent.

This is my second pair. I use them for yard work and around hunting camp. The first pair lasted 7+ years of heavy use. I wear a 10.5 D in nearly all shoes, but in these I use the 9 Wide. They fit perfectly in length and width as long as I wear them with socks. Bean's sizing is consistent. The second pair fit just the same as the first pair

I really enjoy how comfortable these shoes are and it's nice to have both the boots & these for everyday wear and waterproofing.
