I was so excited to love these, but after just a couple wears I've realized something isn't quite right. The tongue seems to stick out a bit internally which digs in to the top of my foot and it's become quite painful even after loosening the laces. The cushioning is super comfortable and springy but it's become unwearable due to the weird tongue situation.

While having extra cushion seems like a good thing, and it might be for short and chilly runs, the shoe is too warm for a longer run. If you don't mind the heat, a positive is that the shoe has no heel movement.

I have worn Glycerin for several years, but they have made changes the shoe so much it isn't comfortable. I wore them around the house several times and they made my feet hurt. I am very disappointed. I hope they resolve these issues, because in the past they have been perfect even standing on my feet all day or walking.

I have worn Brooks Glycerin model for 14 years and have loved every pair til this one. I hate the design - the back of the sole juts out just enough to catch on the back of stairs which causes a tripping hazard. There is no "spring" to them when I tried running in them and even walking in them makes my knees and hips hurt, an issue I have never had. The toe box is wider than past models. I'm stuck with them thanks to Zappos change in return policy which is a crazy policy because how do you know if a shoe is right for you if you don't try it in real time action.

I've been wearing size 9 / regular width in Glycerin for years! Marathon runner here, so I know how my shoes should feel! I should have returned these instantly because I could barely lace the right shoe - the toe box feels very narrow and the "mesh" does not stretch. In fact, the more I wore them, the tighter they got. Can't even use them for walking shoes :(

Like the shoes but sizing should be standard throughout the brand. I ordered 2 pairs and had to return because they were too small. I purchased elsewhere because Brooks didn't have 1/2 size larger in stock in either color.

While the toe box is roomy, the shoe is 1/2 size shorter than my other Brooks. It also lacks cushioning and support and managed to hit every single bone spur in my metatarsals, while the tongue of the shoe is oppressively thick. I'm always willing to try a new model, love Brooks, but so far, Revel is still my favorite, just wish there were a wider color variety.

I liked the rounded toe box; had plenty of room to wiggle toes. The cushioning is soft, but they lack support and stability. I have worn Brooks shoes for about eight years but will not buy this style again.

Uncomfortable, too tight even tho I ordered a half size larger, nothing like my Glycerin 20's which I love.

The bottoms of these have completely worn off. So strange as I've never had that issue with Brooks before. I used to love Glycerin's, but these don't work for me.

It doesn't fit the same as the 20. It's too narrow in a particular spot.

I love the Brooks Glycerin 20 sneakers, so I thought I would love these. They are definitely slightly narrower than the 20s. They also are not as cushioned as the 20s. I kept them, but I do not wear them much. I keep going back to my 20s. The color selection is also bland.

I was totally disappointed with the Brooks. It runs small. Go up 1/2 size. I needed a good walking shoe. Went in store because I wanted the fitting and professional advice. That was a waste of my time. No comfort or cushion. It was so expensive. I returned. Didn't worth the money. Maybe I got the wrong advice, don't know but I was definitely not impressed.

Very disappointed. I really can’t count how many years and how many pairs of the brooks glycerin I have bought. The 21, hurts the top of my foot really bad! Not wearable, cannot even take a few steps without stopping. It seems the tongue is thicker and/or wider and bunches up or creases or folds. No matter how I changed the tightness of the way the shoes were tied, it did not improve. Had to return and am so bummed to think I can’t wear glycerin any more.

Sadly these went back after only 1 wearing. They changed so much from the previous year and I couldn't stand them! The outside "bumpers" are SO much wider, they looked like clown shoes. If I wanted Hokas I would have bought them. Bring back the old style!!!

I had to return them. The insole curves up so much it rubs on the instep. The glycerin 19 feel was must better though the cushion improvements of the 21 is great. Combine the insole feel of the 19s with the cushion of the 21 and you have a fabulous shoe

Colors are versatile for my scrubs. Style was perfect but comfort was lacking. Toe box perfect but heel and front toes felt as if I was stepping on rocks! Sadly, Returned!

I wanted to like these so much because the design is THE BEST. But despite how much I loved the look of them, they just rubbed my heels wrong. Which is weird because I have another pair of these in a different color. But the backs of the shoes just seemed made wrong. So bummed that they didn’t work out.

I had high hopes of getting brookes as it's my first time wearing them and I've heard such good things about them. As I'm writing this though I'm resting my feet because they were in so much pain from these shoes. I work and am on my feet all day walking, jogging and standing. I do have a lower arch but at first these shoes felt great! I felt so bouncy and ready but once they wore in is when the pain set in. I'm going to try the GTS to see if the added support would help but I just hate the color options they come in. Bring back just plain black and white lol also the black and pink ones are more grey and pink, I wished they were darker.

I have been running in Brooks Glycerin for years and have had no issues- until recently. I bought the 21s in July and in a month of wearing them the tongue seam (where the tongue is sewn to the shoe) has rubbed and bruised the top of my foot. I've tried loosening my shoelaces and adjusting the tongue and it's still hurting! I checked my older versions and their seams are all smooth. Unfortunately, I'm exchanging these for ASICS Gel-Nimbus 26 as I was told they are pretty comparable to the Brook Glycerin. Kind of heartbroken as I'm a huge Glycerin fan. Hoping the Glycerin 22s will be better but for now trying out ASICS.

I've worn Glycerins for probably 17 years, and I love them; however, the new style, Glycerin 21, fits so differently. The size I normally wear, which I've never had a problem with the Brooks fit before, is too small. My toes feel like they're at the tip top of the toe box, and I feel like my foot is too far out of the heel. I'm a bit disappointed. The two is for the look of the shoe, and color.

The sizing was true to size, but it was painfully tight on the tops of my feet. Also, the peach and white colors in the photo look really dirty and ugly in person.

Sooo disappointed! I was so excited for these, but they seem to run much smaller than any of the previous 3 versions of the Glycerins. I ordered the size I always do, 8. But as soon as I started to move my toes were hitting the end of the toe box. It didn't matter if I tightened the shoelaces more, it kept happening. Also, not sure if it's the softer material in the upper, but the whole shoe feels loose and "wobbly" and doesn't hold my foot in position as good. I gave it 2 starts because the cushion felt very nice! I will be returning. Trying to decide if I should get the ghost or ghost max because I do like cushioning.
