Back to the Ghost!!!
I have been trying to find the best shoes for walking. I walk about 3 to 5 miles a day. I tried all the shoe companies and ended up with the Brooks Ghost 15. I walked in these shows for almost two months and liked them but wanted something with more comfort. I tried Glycerin 21 and they felt great, so I ordered two pairs and after wearing them for about 3 weeks the left shoe on both pairs is causing me a lot of ankle pain. I am returning the Glycerin 21s. It doesnt make since that the two left shoes are causing pain, but the two right shoes fill just fine with no pain. I agree with one of the other reviews that the left shoes for some reason make a squishing sound. I have ordered two pairs of the Ghost 15.

Had been a Brooks wearer for years but switched to Hoka because I needed wide fit and Brooks limited colors on wide shoes to often.
Switched back to Brooks Glycerin because of cushioning and availability of more colors. Glad I did, cushioning has really helped my feet.

I changed the laces to black. Looks much better. Something to consider. Overall, great shoe with high level of recoil with each step very comfortable.

This is seriously the best glycerin model released ever! And I should know because I have worn these shoes for almost 10 years! I love this model! Its nice and cushy! Well made and durable! Good arch support and a soft upper mesh! The design is pretty too!

Nice looking shoe but it caused me foot and shin pain. I have been having a problem over the last couple of years with Brooks shoes after having worn them since the Ghost 8. I returned the shoes.

I give the comfort a 10/10. The size is the issue. I bought the glycerin gts last year and its about a half of a size bigger and the width is much wider. These dont have enough room to move your toes in. Ive worn them for a couple weeks and theyre broken in but toes are extremely cramped and getting blisters.

This in my opinion is just an excellent shoe. Fit, comfort and stability are all on point! This has become my favorite shoe to use for walking, and strength and conditioning training! This is my fourth pair of the Glycerin model and the only one for me! Thanks for manufacturing such a great product!

First and foremost these shoes have been awesome to run in. I was an avid Ghost lover for many years. Last year I started experiencing some metatarsal pain and decided to look for a different shoe with a thicker soul. Ordered these and they did the job!! Im On my third pair. They only seem to last for about 300 miles, but well worth the price and really make a good comfortable run.

This shoe does what it says. As a traditional Ghost wearer the ride is different...as it's supposed to be. I can tell why my local running store put me in Ghosts, they support my foot better, but I was curious about the advertised softer ride, and it delivered. This model and the Ghost Max are definitely more cushioned than base Ghosts.

Love the Glycerin 21! Its comfortable, soft, smooth and has tons of cushioning. Not sure what upgrades theyve made from the Glycerin 20 but the 21 has noticeably more cushioning, which is what I look for, so this shoe is an upgrade to me.
Im a 6 3 185 lbs. daily runner year-round in Boston, MA. I have a neutral gate and slight pronation. The shoe provides a really nice heel-to-toe transition and the touch is soft on the roads I run on. Its so soft, quiet and smooth and literally propels me forward. One thing I would point out is that the Glycerin seems slightly on the narrow sides (I have slightly wider feet and this is not a deal-breaker). I sized up an 1/2-size and the shoe fits perfectlyslightly snug but not tight at all and plenty of room in the toe.
Again, the added cushioning in the 21 is unbelievable and truly enhances the pleasure and satisfaction I get from running in the first place. I highly recommend the Glycerin 21.

Ive been wearing Glycerin and Ghost models for over 10 years. Generally I love them. I have a pair of Glycerin 21 Stealth and regular models. On both pairs there the shoes are uncomfortable out of the box due to peculiarities of the manufacturing. The standard model has a hard seam at the base of the tongue where it attaches to the upper. It creates a pressure point that is very uncomfortable. In the stealth version, the knit upper is tight across the instep. I have two pairs of the G20 in stealth version that dont have this tightness. Seems like manufacturing issues. Renders an otherwise phenomenal shoe uncomfortable.

Bought these shoes recently to replace a pair of Glycerin G13 with +1500 miles since 2013. I was extremely frustrated to learn how running shoes have changed. I'm 60yo, 6'2" & 201lb. I am a neutral runner with very mild over-pronation. However the stack height was way too high, and the heel strike felt ultra poor, due to hardness of the HUGE recycled plastic foam heels. I felt like I was running in high heels. The toe plate did not suite me either. I just need a lower profile, less obnoxious shoe. No problems with the speedy return after a 10-mile test run. Definitely found my shoe in the repurchase of a 11.5 Hyperion.

The Glycerin 21 has been a great shoe, I have put about twenty miles on it over the course of a couple weeks. I am typically a higher volume runner but I took a holiday. This shoe has a nice and roomy toe box and ample cushion. It reminds me of my Ghost 14's, one of the reasons I ordered it was because the Ghost 15's are still a little ways away. I ordered the white Glycerins and they look so good I am probably going to order another pair for daily wear.

Great shoe for us bigger guys. Great cushion for road running. Wide (e) is tighter than it was on the Glycerin 20 but is still comfortable. Wish more of the colors were available in Wide.
