I have been wearing 928 2E 10.5 for the last 10 years. (Or for a long time) recently NB changed the style and they no longer fit across the metatarsal they were too tight. I bought a 928v2 10.5 4E they they still didn't fit. This pair of WW840 2E 11 (I ordered a 10.5 and 11 and the 11 2E fit perfectly) fits the closest to the old style 928 and felt comfortable when I first put them on, I have my own orthodics and they fit no problem. The heel also fit, no slipping, plenty deep. The reason I am sending them back is they have no arch support. even with my orthodics they tired my feet after about 15 minutes. I am still looking for a shoe that fits and does everything the old 928 did.

Much, much narrower toe area than a "normal" New Balance EE. When I tried them on, I didn't even walk down the hall - just took them right back off immediately and checked whether regular-width shoes had been sent in the x-wide box. No such luck: they're just that badly sized.

The shoe did not fit because I ordered a women’s shoe for a man. The shoe is too small.

perfect walking shoe. toes are a bit ‘tipped up’ to help with a walking motion that helps to push off the next step. I don’t know that I’d wear these as daily shoes, but that is my preference as to what I like for my go to sneaker. Nice bright white with light purple accent. Well made, sturdy show. Traction is excellent. Overall a 10 out of 10 for this pair.

Odd feeling at first with the elevated toe area. Makes sense for ease when walking for exercise. Don’t feel it would be comfortable for just daily wear.

I believe this shoe requires me to get a 7 Wide since the regular 7 feels too narrow.

Probably the most comfortable walking shoe I've ever had! I love the leather on top for the winter and hope a lighter fabric is available for Sumer!

These shoes arrived last evening, and I took them for a walk this morning. Oh my, they feel good! Requested to be notified when the black version becomes available in my size. I value comfort and support over style. Shoes that are prettier but don't feel as good take the smile off my face, so the style points go down automatically. Today, the first day of wearing these shoes, the arch support feels excellent. I hope I will not have to purchase Superfeet insoles ($55) to boost the arch support. Time will tell. I love these shoes. There is a lot of cush in all the right places. I got 2 complements on the shoes the first day I wore them. Came back to buy a second pair less that a week later.

This is a great shoe. It has room in toe box and accommodates my orthotics. Not as good as New Balance 411 for me, but still comfortable.

This is a great shoe. Fits nicely, but remember to go up a size as all athletic shoes run short. If you wear the 928 and want something a bit more stylish, this is your shoe.

These are nice wide shoes. They are very comfortable. I am actually a man but with size 6EEE in men's very hard to find, I often have to look to women's and difficult to find wide enough. My feet do not do very well walking or running but I have been able to spend and hour on the treadmill doing both in these (with orthotic).

These shoes are perfect for me! I had a pair, wore them out, and was unable to find another, but Zappos had exactly the right shoe in the right size. I'll be shopping here more often.

Usually it takes several days or a couple weeks to find a New Balance shoe comfortable. This shoe was different. I was in search of a walking shoe that offered a higher level of support and comfort, at last I have found it. I love this shoe, I love Zappos, buy with confidence, Zappos has superior customer service.

I tried to replace a #843. The style was so old that the toe appeared different. The #840 appeared wider in the toe. That is the only con.

Love this shoe! For me it fits like a glove with plenty of room in the toe area. Have been looking for awhile and ordered a lot of different shoes. Finally, I found a good pair!!
