Perfect right from the box! In am act of either genius or profoundly stupid daring, I took these out of the box, put them on my feet, and headed to London for a week. The gamble paid off. I've been averaging six miles a day in them with no rubs, blisters, or other issues. I've got Morton's neuroma as well as a plantar fibroma, and these have kept my feet functional every day. I also appreciate that they're stylish enough (or discreet enough, you decide) that I was able to wear them for work meetings all around London. I can't imagine trying to do this trip in any other shoes.

Finally a shoe that does not hurt or rub. I need a very wide toe box to accommodate my custom orthothic and foot swelling. So I ordered these in XX-Wide and they work. Wide would have been too tight. I also have achilles tendonits/bursitis and these have a soft, smooth lining that is comfortable around my ankles, no pain! They have good support with just enough cushioning to relieve ball of foot pressure, neuromas and neuropathy. The only reason I didn't give 5 Stars is that I wish the toe box was more rounded, like the natural shape of the foot, giving even more room and comfort in the toe area. They taper at the toes, so 4 Stars. Also they look a little long on my feet and a rounded toe box would also fix that issue. The other reason for 4 Stars is the sizing is inconsistent. I've re-ordered the KITA in this same size in grey and another black pair and each pair was sized differently! Tighter in the toe box, looser in the ankle, and one pair had laces that were 6-8 inches too short! So keep that in mind if you order. You might have just gotten a defective fit. Return and reorder. Otherwise these are great shoes that I can wear with my orthotic and walk in for hours without pain. THAT is life-changing. Highly recommend these!

Maybe the shoe is ok, but a foot needing a size 10.5 x- wide shoe has no chance of getting these shoes on. The tongue of the shoe is fully connected to the sides of the shoe making it a slip on shoe rather than a tie shoe. I cannot even begin to put my fat foot into that small of an opening. I think I read the discription of the shoe incorrectly.

Very comfortable and a true slip on - notblike others who claim to be slip ons but you can’t get your foot in without a struggle. They came with additional arch support insert which I like.

When I first put them on, I loved them. I walked around the house for about 30 minutes and when I sat down, I realized that my ankle hurt. The tongue was so huge it went all the way up the front of my foot, and it was such a relief to take them off. Sadly, they have to go back. I thought I found my shoe, but I'll have to keep looking

i got 8WW i usually wear 7.5WW. This shoe did not offer total support. Material is too stretchy and i did not feel safe in it. Bad knees and it’s important to be able to feel stable. I need leather shoes and they are much better. Sorry this shoe was not for me. Love Zappos Shoes.

I'm 68 years old and have a lot of problems with my feet. Arthritis, bunions, high instep, extra wide. These shoes are great. They fit true to size and have extra depth to the toe box. They are a slip on style, but my feet do not slide around inside the shoe which is important to me. They come with additonal inserts to customize the fit, but I didn't need them. I ordered an extra pair for a back up.

Great shiesy! I have foot issues and this was able to take my personal inserts with no problems. I can walk with comfort and ease. Very happy.

These Kita shoes are truly slip on. Just step into them. My only issue is the tongue comes up my ankle a little to far and rubs on the top of my ankle. They are new so I am hoping that will soften over time. Otherwise they fit well and are comfortable and stretchy for my bunions.

The fit and size are fine. However, I was expecting a slip on shoe. This one has laces. I guess if you tie them tight in a double knot you can make them into a 'slip on', but it was not what I was expecting. Also, in the comments it was said that they come with 2 sets of insoles. Mine did not. They arrived in an unmarked box that said it was not the original box...the original was damaged in transit. Also the soles are not the ones pictured here. Am disappointed with Zappos!

Cute style. Hard to get on my feet. The tongue is tied to the shoe exterior at the top by three stitches, so ins can’t pull it open wide enough to comfortably slide the foot inside without pulling the socks uncomfortably tight.

This is the second pair of Kita's for me. The hands-free feature, which has the higher back, really ties my foot into the shoe which means no heel slip. My orthotics fit nicely and the mesh upper allows maximum comfort for my bunions. Very comfortable with an understated style. I did change out the laces for shorter, thicker ones. The OEM laces were much too long and skinny.

I bought these to help with plantar faciitis. They were uncomfortable when I first put them on, but after a bit, they feel ok. I am glad I bought them.

very comfortable. Love the hands free. Did feel loose initially but after adding the additional arch support and the extra interior layers, fit much better. However, unsure if is the shoes, or just progression of PF, but my feet did start hurting after only 3-4 months in these shoes compared to longer with some other brands

Fit and size good. Nice and lightweight. The very tight design in the sole traps dirt and is very difficult to get out. Must use garden hose. Do not wear in the garden

I really wanted these shoes to work for me, but unfortunately, they had to go back. I appreciated the arch booster that I needed in the left shoe, but the right shoe hurt my toes. This was the size I always wear, and a larger size would have been too big everywhere else. The style was OK, but not as nice as I’d hoped from the photos. As for hands-free - they really aren’t. The tongue still doubled up when I slid them on and that was hard for me to reach to pull back out. Due to rods in my back and articifical joints, I really require hands free. So I will keep on looking.

I love that I can put these shoes on “hands free”, but there’s little to no arch support & my shoes squeak when I walk. My mom & sister tried these out too & all of our shoes squeak!

The reason I order these shoes is because I am recovering from heel surgery and also have plantar fasciitis fasciitis. I needed a shoe that would help with the healing. These did not work because of the design on the inside near the heel has caused pain where the incision is. They are very painful to walk in. I am sure if I hadn’t had surgery these shoes would work for the plantar fasciitis.

The fit and style is great. However the sole of the shoe tracks dirt badly and is very difficult to remove. The only effective way to remove dirt is with a garden hose. Will wear these indoors only
