Stepping into these shoes hands free works great. However, my legs have neuropathy from a spinal cord injury. If my heel sits lower than the metatarsals, my legs get more spastic. This is the case with this shoe. They don't feel very cushioned either, but that actually can be an okay thing for seniors as shoes too cushy can exacerbate falling. Many may find these the perfect fit and they are very well made. I encourage you to try them to see if they are the shoe for you. I sadly, have to send them back.

This shoe is cut a bit high on the foot. It rubbed against my ankles and the top of my foot and was uncomfortable, so I had to return it. The "Nira" style of sneakers fit me much better.

Comfortable, but they are squeeky! I really dislike sneakers that are noisy. They'll work for wearing around the house, but disappointed in the noise they make.

I love that they were so easy to put on, but even with my own inserts my PT flared up to the point that I had trouble taking regular steps.

this is a 2ee size shoe. However, it is narrower than my 2EE shoes from New Balance, Saucony, and Brooks. Narrower in ball of foot and forward. Not comfortable for a wide foot!! and flimsy, no cushion. Not worth the price. I am returning the shoes.
