This shoe ran true to size for me (8.5N) except in the heel area which is more WIDE than narrow. It slips off my heels, and for a narrow it should hug them. Also, there is not much cushion in the sole/heel area. I wish it fit correctly but returning the shoes.

Although this shoe fit my 6.5WW foot just fine, it was very stiff at the tongue making it very uncomfortable. Sent back.

I got 2 pairs of Easy Spirit AP1 - I was looking for supportive, light-weight work shoes. Easy Spirit AP1 fit the bill, so I ordered them in black and in white. Since Easy Spirit styles were limited in my size and width, I tried an extra wide. They fit well, and I'm glad I got the extra width. They could use a little more arch support, but overall I am happy with them.

These just were not as flattering, or as comfortable as I wanted them to be - so my quest for cute white sneakers continues.

The shoe is very stiff. Leather feels synthetic despite labeling that says natural leather upper. The sole is so stiff that I felt like I was walking on a board. Unfortunately, I have to return them.

I liked the style of AP1 but I returned them because there is zero arch support with the flimsy inserts and the ankle area is very big. My Medium width shoe felt like a Wide in the ankle.

I don't think this could even pass for a wide let alone the EE.

I found these disappointing because there is virtually no arch support in them.

I suspect this pair is faulty, but this is my first pair of Easy Spirit, so I'm not sure. They are a little long, but not too much (38N). The problem is that the collar is far too wide, so wide that it seems as though it belongs a wide shoe. I can put my fingers all the way down on both sides at once. There is no way to lace them properly; they gape open. Otherwise, they were comfortable.

Nice shoe, but runs too narrow for my narrow feet. Exchanged for medium width and it was way too wide. Sadly, I must return. This shoe just doesn't work for me.

These shoes are uncomfortable, offer no support, and just hurt my feet. My feet are wide with high arches and insteps, so I ordered a EE, even though I was measured as a C/D. The EE was about as narrow as some of my C width shoes. This is a disturbing trend, I think shoe manufacturers are trying to make wide shoes look not wide. But actually making wide shoes narrower is not the answer! The heel was way too wide and slipped (my heel is narrow to add to the fun of my weird foot). On the plus side, they didn't have that godawful seam over the toe that usually kills me. I cannot return them as I wore them too long, so I will donate them and hope someone else can use them. I wish they had worked out, but I knew there was a risk going in.

What a disappointment! This shoe has a pointy toe box which squished my toes together, and the heel was wide, and it slipped up and down on my heel. If you could put the shoe on backwards, it probably would have fit better. Poor design for a narrow foot, plus it was very orthopedic looking in the black. It's going back.

I ordered these shoes in a 9 and a 9.5. They have a more pointed toe box, which pressed on my big toe and joint. This caused my feet to splay out when I walked, a very weird gait for me. They would be bad if you have bunions or ingrown toenails.

I wear a size 7, medium. These shoes fit fine but the heel, in my case, is way too wide. Also, I've only had the shoes a few weeks and the insoles already came out in one of the shoes. I ended up taking both insoles out. These shoes will be relegated to inside use as they are hard to walk in with the heel area being so wide. East Spirit is a good brand, these shoes just do not fit me well and I won't be repurchasing.

I was very disappointed with this shoe. I bought this one because the one I usually got was unavailable. It was not comfortable and the heel width didn't match the narrow shoe. Poor quality.

Very pleased with this shoe. Is true to fit. I have a lot of foot problems and this shoe seems to be working for me.

This shoe was at least 1/2 inch longer than the last Easy Spirit shoe I tried.

Can no longer wear them because they changed the fit. I wore these shoes for 15 years teaching and loved them. They can take orthotics also. However, they have changed the fit so that they no longer have a narrow heel. Therefore, my heel slips out of the shoe and I can no longer wear them. This makes me very sad. Have not found a replacement for these shoes yet. ugh!

Based on many fine reviews, I thought these shoes would be perfect for my walk-in-city-on-rainy-day shoes. I had used Easy Spirit Motion in the past and liked it very much. But I wanted something with a bit thicker sole for my stated use. Unfortunately the pair I received had severe problems. Manufacturing defect? Shoddy quality control? The overall leatherof the shoe softened up very much very fast, except for the area around the opening of the shoe (around ankle area). This area would not soften up and I could feel with my fingers that there was a very tight and rigid cord or cable underneath the leather at the opening. It was painful to my ankle bones and Achilles tendon. Fortunately Zappos issued me a refund. I have worn many shoes of this type over the decades and have never run into anything this weird.

As a teacher, I have bought and worn these shoes for over 15 years and they were always comfortable and supportive. I had them in every color. I could even use my orthotics in them. BUT NOW.....they are way TOO WIDE IN THE HEEL which means my heel slides out of them. Also, the LEATHER IS STIFF and uncomfortable. They are going back and I will never order them again! Why oh Why did Easy Spirit mess with a good thing!?!?!?!? Now I have to find another walking shoe that fits well and is stylish. It has been hard finding a pair like that.

RETURNED!! Leather so thick and stiff that you can NOT walk in them:( No bend in shoe!..like walking with cement blocks on your feet...worn this style for 20 years...China made now:( Soo disappointed...Love the style.

These shoes were so bad I did not even try them on. The shoe was advertised as flexible - there was no bend to the sole at all. no arch support and the cut had no shape. Easy Spirit has quality has fallen way off. Too disappointing but Zappos returns are no problem ever!!

I ordered these all the time - I work in hospitality and am on my feet all the time, but this last pair is totally different- no support and by the end of day one flat as a pancake- I am returning the second pair I bought, I would both if I could.
