Felt to wide for my feet

Nice cushion and support, but the soles just don't last! I was through the tread in a couple of spots in about 2 weeks -- maybe 100 miles of treadmill and road walking/running. That's way too early for that. While the tread on almost all shoes seems to have been going downhill for years, this is excessive. I've continued to wear them in rotation with other shoes for a few months, but 4 months is the max for these -- no tread on the balls of the feet means I can't safely run errands in them anymore. If the tread was more durable I'd buy them again, but I can't justify Brooks when EVERY OTHER BRAND has soles that last longer!

At first, the shoes were supportive. After only a few weeks they seem to have lost any support. Both knees are hurting me, which only happened with the former Brooks I wore after 6 months. I am beyond disappointed considering the $$ I spent.

I've been wearing Ghosts for 5 years, they're my holy grail. Thought I'd give these a try for a summer style - bad idea! They feel so unnatural, and gave me blisters. Sticking with the Ghosts.

I ordered my usual 10.5 in Brooks, but have recently changed to extra wide. This Ghost Max feels a bit longer and wider than the usual Ghost (I have a Ghost 10.5 extra wide). But I tried them on again after a 3 mile walk and I think sizing down to a 10 and/or a wide would be too small. So I'm sticking with the 10.5 extra wide. I was also concerned about the reviews saying the arch support was not as good as the regular Ghost. I found it to be somewhat different, but good enough for my high arches.

These are my FAVORITE and I am on my feet 12-14 hours a day working at a hospital.... Brooks are all I wear!

The Brooks Ghost Max is a godsend. I used to wear the regular Brooks Ghost, but I now need a lot of cushioning due to developing knee osteoarthritis, so started wearing the Hoka Bondi, despite their oversized appearance, for their great support and cushioning. The Ghost Max is, in my opinion, absolutely every bit as cushioned and comfortable as the Bondi. I bought two pair and hope Brooks never discontinues them. You won’t be disappointed!

So comfortable! Like walking on air! My only request is that they come in more fun colors!

Amazing. So bouncy. Had major surgery 12 weeks ago and these are the only thing I can wear. If you have metatarsalgia, these are amazing. They fit in wide width with my orthotics and swollen foot. Hoka's in wide were not tall enough, I have a very high arch. No shoes have high enough arch support for me but if you are a flat-footed person the arch support would be great. I switched out the laces to something more colorful. I wish they had better colors in the wide width but with cool laces you can make it what you want.

these shoes were comfortable from the minute I put them on. I usually have a problem with overpronation and I find that they’ve been very supportive. I also find them very cushiony. I wear them with an arch support . I wear a 9 1/2 medium and they fit perfectly.

I received these shoes a few minutes ago. Immediately tried them on. The "arch support" ain't much and barely noticeable. A POWER STEP insole has taken care of that problem.. Otherwise the shoes fit well and have plenty of cushioning when walked in.. Size was spot on. Width and length. Happy with the purchase.

I ordered a pair of the Brooks Ghost Max shoes a while ago but had to send them back because there was a flaw in the construction. This pair is great. I was worried about toe room because they appear to have a more tapered toe-box but my fears were unfounded. The toe-box is roomy and comfortable and looks nice as well. The extra cushioning is wonderful. I've worn the regular Ghost models before and found them comfortable but the Ghost Max takes it to the next level. I wore them right out of the box (I do add an orthotic for my extra high arch) on my daily 4 mile walk and found them to be very comfortable, no breaking in period needed. I like the black/mango/raspberry color combo as well.

I love the fit. I love the extra cushion around the heel I have one foot a half size bigger than the other and the extra cushion around the heel keeps my heel from slipping out. Brooks are the only shoes I can wear without having a break in period. They are comfortable from day one. I am not crazy about the color but the comfort makes up for it. Brooks you have made another pair of great shoes thank you.

Fit is perfect!! I bought these for work and they are the best!! They look simple and professional (plain all black) and give my feet the support and cushion they need for some 12 hour days. They are really the best work shoes I have had so far.

Great shoe true to size very comfortable!

Surprisingly comfy. Do wish there was a bit kore cushion, but it is livable since I can no longer depend on Hoka cliftons to be constructed correctly. Thand you Zappos for making it easy to buy and retunr

Wearer of regular Ghost for maybe 8+ years. Love the Max with rocker sole, cushioning and wide toe box. I have wide, neutral feet. On feet for long days as nurse plus walk 3-5 miles per day 4x/week. Brooks, please make a version with the black/blackened pearl and white like the Ghost and not just solid black. Please please please!!!

The Ghost Max felt great the moment I put them on. Working a full day on concrete floors and I had zero pain in my feet, knees or hips!

I like Brooks shoes because they have a wide toe bed and my toes usually hurt in closed toe shoes. These shoes are very comfortable for me and I love the way the bottom of the shoe cushions me with support.

Shoes feel great. Not pretty by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe someday extra wide shoes will be in some color other than black or white.

Felt good right out of the box

This is my first pair of Brooks. I have a lot of arthritis and neuropathy in my legs and feet and my Dr recommended orthopedic shoes. When they arrived I tried them on and I felt like I was walking on clouds so much cushion they really felt fabulous. I did order wide, which I need, but I’m wondering if I should’ve ordered the extra wide due to the toe box I don’t know if it would’ve been bigger or not. Otherwise, I’m very happy with the shoes.
